AFTERWORD
AFTERWORD
To those of you purchasing the novels one at a time, it’s good to see you again.
To those who bought the whole twelve-volume series at once, pleased to meet you.
I’m Kazuma Kamachi.
In this series, comedy and action intersect (supposedly), but this book was specialized for comedy. There were heartwarming scenes all over. It also brought Mikoto Misaka’s punishment game back up, which Volume 11 didn’t touch on. Moods like this without any conflict are nice once in a while, aren’t they?
The theme of the book was the seasonal changing of clothes.
Many things, from everyone and their mothers literally switching uniforms from their summer to winter ones to how certain characters (organizations, actually) affected the entire flow of the book, had that sense of change in them.
The entire thing happens within Academy City, so it ended up being a very “science side”–centric novel. So, well…a certain child of white was the same as usual. I think he’ll have many more chances to show off in the next book.
As always, I want to thank Mr. Haimura, my illustrator, and Mr. Miki, my editor. Thank you so much for going along with my terribly annoying event, what with all the characters changing clothes.
And as always, I want to thank all the readers. I can continue to write afterwords like this only because of your support.
Now then, as I close the pages on this book,
and as I hope you’ll open the next one,
today, at this hour, I lay down my pen.
Th-the punishment game isn’t over yet!
