I’m Kazuma Kamachi.

And so, the uniform changing is over! This one was full of battles, wasn’t it? Not a single heartwarming scene to be found. Fighting this way, fighting that way—but once in a while, a sanguine atmosphere like this is all right, I think.

I wanted to write about the protagonists and enemy characters, each with two organizations, going in completely different directions from each other. But if the protagonist had been swapped, then maybe the enemies would have been treated differently. Of course, maybe it wouldn’t even have been a contest at all.

The occult keyword for this book was “angel.” However, that doesn’t mean it was a clear “sorcery story” or “science story” like it has been until now. Rather than simply having two viewpoints or two separate incidents, I wanted to blur the walls separating them.

If you have the chance and some time, you may find it interesting to look into where and how big those walls were and how many of those walls have, in fact, been blurred. One can express the number of those walls in terms of the defensive “walls” between organizations, as well. You should be able to glean some info about the larger, worldwide movements that I haven’t actually touched on very much in this work.

I’d like to thank my illustrator, Mr. Haimura, and my editor, Mr. Miki. The series composition of sometimes-totally-comedy and sometimes-totally-battle has been quite an adventure, so thank you very much for sticking with me.

And a thanks to all my readers. I can’t do much but apologize to those of you wanting comedy this time, but thank you so much for coming this far on the adventure anyway.
