Fiene-chan didn’t level up.

The reason her EXP increased more than the other three is that purifying the power of the Water Dragon King, who was controlling Suikyou, was counted as a defeat.

Chris-san’s level remains the same.

Since Chris-san is already at a high level, it’s quite difficult for her to level up.

Lu-chan’s level also remains unchanged.

Since she didn’t defeat many enemies, her EXP didn’t increase much.

○    Existence Evolution

The act of evolving into a higher race by meeting specific conditions. Elves can evolve into High Elves if their Contract Spirit becomes a Higher Spirit. Vampires evolve into Vampire Nobles (see Chapter 2, Episode 37).

While Existence Evolution increases the innate aptitude portions of one’s status and raises the levels of possessed skills, it comes with the disadvantage of the level resetting to 1 (see Episode 14).

○    Mieshiro (Divine Vessel) Family

An ancient lineage of Mikos whose women can use 【Spirit Descent Technique】 to summon beings called Yokai. However, since one doesn’t know what will descend until they try it, there are cases where beings like evil spirits may appear. Since the main branch, the Mitsurugi family, has died out, Shizuku is now the only remaining member of this clan.

The women of this clan were destined from birth to be offered as sacrifices to the Eight-Headed Dragon God, but they were liberated from that fate by Fiene and her companions.

○    Eight-Headed Dragon God (Water Dragon King Valortina)

The name used for Water Dragon King Valortina in the Golden Sun Miko Nation.

He is sealed in the Dragon God Cave near Miyako.

Over a long period, he deceived people to infiltrate the society of the Golden Sun Miko Nation.

He accumulated the power to break the seal by devouring sacrifices.

It is believed that he targeted the power of the Mieshiro family, forcing the women to use Spirit Descent Technique while offering themselves as sacrifices, and by devouring them, he nearly broke the seal.

However, this plan was stopped at the very last moment due to the intervention of Fiene and the others.

○    Suikyou

Presumed to be a child forcibly sired by the Water Dragon King after he brought Mieshiro Kikyou, who had descended a Mizuchi, inside the barrier.

Acting as a puppet for Water Dragon King Valortina, she manipulated the Golden Sun Miko Nation from the shadows.

After Fiene purified something akin to the Water Dragon King’s will, leaving her as an empty shell, she was given blood by Adelrose and became a thrall. She currently appears to be continuing her role as Queen with a straight face.

○    Golden Sun Miko Nation

A Japanese-style country ruled by the Miko Queen, Suikyou.

While peaceful on the surface, it performed sacrifice rituals in secret, and the entire nation was being utilized for the revival of Water Dragon King Valortina.

Although all names of people and places are written in katakana now, it seems kanji were used in the past.

Due to the series of events, the authority of control over Suikyou shifted from the Water Dragon King to Adelrose, meaning the shadow ruler has been replaced… right?
