I dispelled the curses on the remaining children besides Brenda-chan and helped them into the clothes the guards had bought.

Thanks to the female staff member who accompanied the guards on the shopping trip, we were spared the trouble of making a second trip.

They had bought everything a little girl would need in bulk—not just simple dresses, but sandals, underwear, socks, and hair ties.

With the now-neatly-dressed children and Liera-san in tow, I headed to a diner near the guard post for a slightly late lunch.

The guards and the female staff member joined us.

“Oh my, oh my. Those children too? To do such a thing even to children of their own kind… humans do such terrible things, don’t they~?”

One of the guards who had come along said this while looking at me with a slightly bashful expression.

I asked the guard while glancing over at Liera-san and Lu-chan.

While we were talking, the food arrived.

The beef stewed in beer was flavorful, the meat was tender, and it was delicious.

It felt a bit salty, but eating it with the french fries made it even better.

She plowed through the dishes as they were brought out one after another.
