Yun Yun set down the jade slip and asked gently.

“Qingyang City! The Liu family is in trouble! A Spirit Transformation cultivator has attacked them!”

“My father sent word that he’s already gone to help, but the enemy has them badly outnumbered. They clearly came prepared…”

Zhao Ling’er quickly relayed the message from the token.

“What?!”

Li Hanyi shot to her feet, disbelief written across her face.

“A mere Spirit Transformation cultivator dares lead an attack on the family of a Yaochi Immortal Palace disciple?”

“Hanyi, this cannot be that simple!”

Yun Yun’s voice was solemn.

“Ruyan is the Palace Master’s disciple, and anyone who bothered to ask around would know of the Liu family’s connection to Yaochi Immortal Palace.”

“They couldn’t possibly be unaware of that, yet they still dared to do this. I suspect there’s more going on behind the scenes…”
