Volume 1, Chapter 72 – Lunar Divine Body
Ye Ling’er murmured in a daze as the tears that had long gathered in her eyes slowly spilled over.
Drop by drop, they struck the cold floor and shattered into tiny splashes.
Just then…
Without warning, the air in her courtyard suddenly rippled like water.
Immediately afterward, a pitch-black spatial rift appeared out of thin air.
The sudden change shocked Ye Ling’er so greatly that her tears stopped. She stared blankly into the courtyard, her mind completely empty.
What… was that?!
Before she could react, a peerlessly magnificent figure stepped out of the rift.
The woman wore a moon-white dress. Her silver hair was as white as snow, with only part of it secured by a jade hairpin while the rest cascaded down like a waterfall.
Her beauty was unrivaled, and she was as cold and serene as the moon. Her gaze was calm, yet it seemed to contain supreme majesty.
She merely stood there in silence, yet she seemed to become the sole center of heaven and earth.
In her arms, a little girl in a pale yellow dress with her hair tied into twin buns blinked her large eyes curiously as she looked around.
One was an adult and the other a child. Their temperaments were entirely different, yet they appeared strangely harmonious together.
Once the two of them had fully emerged, the rift silently closed as though smoothed over by an invisible hand, leaving no trace that it had ever existed.
For a moment, the scene was so quiet that a falling needle could have been heard.
There was only the faint rustling of the autumn wind through the bare branches in the courtyard, along with… the sound of Ye Ling’er’s heart almost coming to a stop.
She stared blankly at the two uninvited guests before her, especially the silver-haired woman.
The woman emitted no pressure at all. Ye Ling’er could not even sense any obvious fluctuations of spiritual power from her.
Yet the unfathomable aura around her, as though she stood as high as heaven and earth themselves, made Ye Ling’er’s very soul tremble.
This woman was definitely no ordinary cultivator!
“You…”
Ye Ling’er’s voice was unbearably dry and filled with incredulous shock.

“Who… are you?”
Gu Han calmly swept her gaze over the exquisitely beautiful yet pale-faced girl by the window.
The coordinates provided by the system were indeed reliable. They had also saved her the trouble of searching.
She gave a slight nod and spoke in a clear, melodious voice.
“Ye Ling’er?”
Ye Ling’er’s delicate body trembled. The woman actually knew her name?
“Yes… that’s me.”
She nodded instinctively, her voice still trembling.
“May I ask who you are, Senior?”
“Gu Han.”
Gu Han stated her name, her gaze settling upon Ye Ling’er’s clear eyes and the unwillingness hidden within them.
“Palace Master of Yaochi Immortal Palace in the Southern Region.”
The Southern Region? Yaochi Immortal Palace?
Confusion flashed through Ye Ling’er’s eyes. She had never heard that name before.
However, someone capable of tearing through space to reach this place possessed a cultivation and strength far beyond anything she could imagine.
Why would someone like that suddenly appear here?
And why had she called Ye Ling’er by name with such precision?
Countless questions churned through her mind.
A-Yao seemed to find the atmosphere somewhat stifling. She tugged on Gu Han’s hand and whispered,
“Master Mommy, is this big sister the person we’re looking for? She doesn’t seem very happy.”
The innocent words of a child made Ye Ling’er’s heart jolt.
Master Mommy?

This Senior was actually the little girl’s Master?
More importantly… had they come here specifically to find her?
Gu Han lowered her head and gently rubbed A-Yao’s head. Then she looked back at Ye Ling’er and got straight to the point.
“You possess the Nine Yin Severed Meridians and are unable to cultivate. Is that correct?”
At those words, Ye Ling’er’s eyes instantly dimmed, and she nodded.
“Senior’s eyes are discerning. I am indeed a waste who cannot cultivate.”
“Unable to cultivate?”
Hearing her words, Gu Han gently shook her head.
“Who told you that someone with the Nine Yin Severed Meridians cannot cultivate?”
Ye Ling’er abruptly raised her head, and a glimmer of incredulous light erupted in her eyes.
What had she just heard?
This Senior who had suddenly appeared was actually questioning the accepted belief throughout the Canglan Continent that someone with the Nine Yin Severed Meridians could not cultivate?
“Senior… what… what did you say?”
Ye Ling’er’s voice was unbearably dry and trembling in a way she herself did not notice.
“In the eyes of most people, the Nine Yin Severed Meridians are indeed an incurable condition that severs one’s path of cultivation.”
“Spiritual energy disperses the moment it enters the body. It cannot be stored or refined. Trying to cultivate is like drawing water with a woven basket, leaving the person no different from a waste.”
Gu Han paused briefly, and an indescribable profundity entered her tone.
“But in my eyes, your so-called Nine Yin Severed Meridians are not an incurable condition. They are the buried embryonic form of an extraordinary constitution: the Lunar Divine Body!”
The Lunar Divine Body?!
Those four words exploded in Ye Ling’er’s mind like a thunderclap.
She had never heard the name of this constitution before.

Yet words such as “supreme constitution” and “embryonic form” were like a bolt of lightning tearing through the darkness, suddenly cracking open her long-frozen heart.
“The Lunar… Divine Body?”
Ye Ling’er repeated the words under her breath, her eyes filled with confusion and longing.
“Correct.”
Gu Han nodded slightly and continued explaining.
“The so-called Nine Yin Severed Meridians are merely the result of your constitution being unique. It must fully awaken before you can begin cultivating.”
Gu Han’s words were clear and certain. Every word struck heavily against Ye Ling’er’s heart.
It was not that she could not cultivate.
Her constitution simply had not awakened yet!
This revelation overturned everything she had ever known, causing Ye Ling’er’s entire body to tremble.
For sixteen years, how many contemptuous looks, mocking words, and expressions of pity had she endured?
Even her closest family members had gone from being full of hope to helplessly giving up.
As for Ye Ling’er herself, she had desperately attempted to cultivate countless times in the depths of night, only to fall into despair again and again at dawn.
Everyone had told her that she was a waste and could never cultivate.
But now, this Senior who had appeared out of nowhere was telling her…
The Nine Yin Severed Meridians that had made her a waste were actually something called the Lunar Divine Body?
The immense contrast left Ye Ling’er unable to think for a moment.
She stared blankly at Gu Han as tears once again poured uncontrollably from her eyes.
“Senior… is… is what you said really true?”
“Can I… really cultivate?”
Ye Ling’er’s voice choked with sobs until she could barely speak.
“Naturally.”

Gu Han looked at her, her gaze clear and profound.
“Ye Ling’er, are you willing to take me as your Master and enter my Yaochi Immortal Palace?”
Take her as her Master?
Enter Yaochi Immortal Palace?
Ye Ling’er’s heart pounded wildly, almost leaping out of her chest.
This Senior could tear through space, see through her constitution at a glance, and dismiss the so-called “incurable condition” with utter disdain…
And she actually wanted to accept Ye Ling’er as her disciple?!
“I… I…”
Ye Ling’er opened her mouth, but she was too overwhelmed with emotion to speak.
At the side, A-Yao watched the beautiful big sister struggle to get any words out in her excitement.
She blinked her large eyes and said in a crisp, childish voice,
“Big Sister, Master Mommy is really amazing!”
“Hurry up and say yes!”
Her innocent words strangely dispelled the overwhelming turmoil in Ye Ling’er’s heart.
Ye Ling’er suppressed the excitement that threatened to drown her, hurriedly pushed open the door, and stepped into the courtyard.
Without the slightest hesitation, she dropped to her knees and bowed deeply before Gu Han.
Her forehead struck the cold ground with a clear sound.
“I, Ye Ling’er, am willing to take Senior as my Master!”
“From this day forward, I will follow Master and enter Yaochi Immortal Palace. Even if I must die ten thousand deaths, I will never regret it!”
She had waited sixteen years to perform this bow.
She had dreamed of this day through countless days and nights.
