Demon King – Chapter 2 – The Demon Lord spots a suspicious person!
“Hmm-hmm-hmm~”
In the steam-filled bathroom, Eiru hummed a tune as she grabbed a bottle of shampoo with her tail before bringing it over.
Pouring some into her hand and lathering it into foam, she began washing her waist-length silver hair.
However, the bathroom wasn’t exactly soundproof, and Eiru’s voice easily carried into the neighboring apartment.
“That voice… must be from Eiru’s place, right?”
“He brought another girl home? How indecent…”
“That voice sounds like such a young girl too. He really has no morals…”
Meanwhile, the person in question had no idea how many false accusations she’d racked up over the past two years.
Given Eiru’s reputation as a delinquent, people naturally assumed the worst…
( Eiru: I swear, I’m really not a delinquent… )
After her bath, Eiru flicked the water off her wings, wrapped herself in a towel, and walked out of the bathroom.
Returning to the room, she opened her wardrobe, revealing an entire collection of boys’ clothes on display…
She reached in and pushed aside the outer layer of clothing, revealing what was hidden deeper inside.
After living as a girl for two years, Eiru had long gotten used to wearing skirts. Compared to her previously plain appearance, her current form was absurdly beautiful.
Her milky-white skin was smooth as silk, her facial features exquisitely delicate, and her figure flawlessly slim—except for a pitiably flat chest…
If it weren’t for her non-human features, she’d definitely be the kind of loli that would drive those “connoisseurs” crazy. Not that they’d care about horns and tails anyway…
With such good looks, it’d be a waste not to dress up a little.
That was the mindset she’d when she first tried on girls’ clothing…

As the saying goes: “There’s no such thing as crossdressing once—only zero times or countless times.” And thus, Eiru gradually got used to dressing like a girl.
Since other people or her parents visited occasionally, Eiru kept her “disguised” clothes, or male outfits, on the outer layer of her wardrobe.
Her female clothing and underwear she wore in her loli form were all hidden behind the rest of her clothes, and hard to find unless someone searched carefully…
Retracting her wings and tail into her body, she put on underwear, then a T-shirt and a short skirt. She then extended her tail and wings again before stretching them a few times.
Her wings and tail were stored in a nano-scale organ within her body. When hidden, they were fully retracted into it. When needed, the organ would extend through her clothes, allowing her wings and tail to emerge without cutting holes in her clothes.
But the annoying part was she had to retract them every time she changed clothes.
As for the horns on her head… unless she used mana, there was no way to hide them.
Now fully dressed and wearing slippers, Eiru walked to the kitchen and opened the fridge.
“Not much left. I’ll need to go shopping tomorrow…”
Muttering to herself, she took out some vegetables and meat. The stove was a bit high for her, so after a bit of thought, she grabbed a small stool.
Sure, she could fly, but hovering the whole time was tiring… Though the Demon Lord wasn’t lazy, she wasn’t exactly diligent either.
Besides, her wings were still damp, and flapping around would just splash water everywhere.
She skillfully stir-fried a side dish and retrieved the rice she had put in the cooker before her shower.
With dinner ready, she sat down at the table to eat, just as her phone on the sofa lit up…
She trotted over and picked it up. A message from her beloved mother.
“Son, have you eaten yet? Stop ordering so much takeout. You should really start learning to cook for yourself. The more skills a man has, the better!”
Beloved Mother… your “son” has actually been your daughter for two years now… Eiru twitched her mouth as she looked at the meal on the table.

Though she wasn’t exactly favoured at home, Eiru could still feel that her family cared about her…
Just… not very attentively. But thanks to that, she’d managed to keep her transformation a secret for two years.
After dinner, she did the dishes and returned to her room, powering on her computer.
Time for some gaming, and to check in on today’s batch of ridiculous online friends.
Her username was: 【I Will Always Love Lu-Baby】. She glanced at her massive tail, longer than her body, and wondered if it was time to pick a new username…
‘Lu’ was a playable character from a niche online game she used to play. Thanks to the character’s cute appearance, it had garnered quite a following of questionable “men of culture” and earned the nickname “Lu-darling.”
Eiru’s character in-game was Lu, and that’s why she made her ID. But now that she had literally become a near-perfect replica of Lu… life sure had a strange sense of humor.
She clicked into the group chat. As usual, it was chaos—teasing the mods, bullying the admin, and cracking increasingly outrageous jokes.
“Online dumbasses really are the most fun… though their IDs…”
【Lu Is My Wife】, 【Lu-darling #1 in the World】, 【Thieves Always Want to Steal Lu From Me】…
Looking at those names gave Eiru a headache. She used to think her own ID was fine, but now it just made her cringe. Not that she had any right to criticize others…
【Bring Me My Walnut】: Lil’ Deer, get online! Let’s team up!
【I Will Always Love Lu-Baby】: No, no, I’m tired today. Just gonna chill.
【Chitose-chan】: Some people say they’re tired, but five minutes later they’re dominating the PVP arena.
【Lu Is My Wife】: Chitose-loli is right!
【Bring Me My Walnut】: Chitose-loli is right!
【Echo Chamber】: Chitose-loli is right!
【I Will Always Love Lu-Baby】: Chitose-loli is right!

【Chitose-chan】: Damn it, I’m a manly man! You’re the loli! Your whole family are lolis!
Eiru wasn’t surprised anymore…
As everyone knows, in every online group, someone will inevitably get labeled as a cute anime girl—regardless of their actual gender…
And the aforementioned real loli joined in on the bullying too.
The topic quickly shifted—as it always did—and the group began discussing the upcoming anime convention meetup.
Eiru knew there would be a big convention soon in Huanghai City, and the game’s official devs had announced they’d have a booth there.
So the group was talking about meeting offline and seeing what kind of weirdos they were in real life.
Eiru kinda wanted to go—but wasn’t sure which form to use.
She normally avoided going out in her true form, as keeping both her wings and tail hidden for too long made them stiff and uncomfortable.
But at an anime convention, she could let them show—people would just think she was in cosplay.
Still, if her wings or tail twitched in public, it’d cause major trouble.
Especially since her tail and wings were sensitive—particularly the tail. If someone touched it or, heaven forbid, grabbed it—she might actually have leapt into the air.
After careful consideration, Eiru gave up on the idea of going in her real form. As for the transformation magic…
Truthfully, maintaining the disguise drained a lot of mana. And for Eiru, mana was precious—better saved than spent.
Even on the school’s rooftop, as long as no one was around, she used her true form. She rarely left the house unless necessary.
So where did that rumor about her being a delinquent boss come from?! What kind of delinquent just wants to laze around at home?! Instead of collecting protection money, she’d rather sunbathe and replenish mana…
After some gaming and goofing off in chat, Eiru turned off her computer.

It was getting late. After washing up, she snuggled into bed with a stuffed animal, curling into a ball.
To be honest, her habits were getting a bit extreme… She was still a sixteen-year-old high schooler, after all.
That thought briefly flashed through her mind —then vanished. Who cares? As long as she was happy…
Before sleeping, she glanced at her phone and saw a few more messages from her dear mother.
Nothing special… just a warning that things had been a bit chaotic in the Eastern District lately—multiple cases of break-ins. She told Eiru to be careful.
Eiru looked it up—turns out it was true. A gang was targeting people living alone, especially women…
She shivered. Sure, she was technically a loli living alone… but nobody knew that. Her public image was still that of a lone teenage boy (a delinquent?).
Just in case, she got out of bed to check that the door was securely locked. Then she went to the window facing the hallway.
There were safety bars, but she decided to lock the window too. Stepping on a stool, she lifted the curtain—just in time to lock eyes with a man crouched on her windowsill…
The man froze, clearly startled by her appearance. Taking advantage of his shock, Eiru quickly locked the window before pulling the curtain shut.
Afterwards, she heard rustling outside—voices murmuring.
With her mana-enhanced hearing, she could hear them clearly:
“Weren’t we told it was just a high school punk living here? What’s with the little girl?”
“How should I know? Forget it—who knows if there’s anyone else inside. Let’s skip this one and hit the next.”
“Still, that little girl inside was a total gem. Tsk tsk. Shame she’s so young…”
“Forget it. Bad intel. Not worth the risk.”
Looks like she actually dodged a bullet tonight.
