“You’re… heading to work?” After their bout of playfulness, Yuki looked at the girl sitting at the end of the bed while tying her hair, his voice tinged with a little loss and worry.

“What else? If I don’t work I’ll starve, Stupid Yuki.” Expertly tying herself a side ponytail, the Demon Lord shot him a look.

“I can support you, you don’t have to wear yourself out like this… you’re my girlfriend now, aren’t you?” Yuki said, moving behind Eiru to gently massage her shoulders.

He really was good at this… compared to normal people, Her Majesty the Demon Lord’s shoulder cartilage was not only fragile but also sensitive. Under such conditions, probably only Yuki could give her a shoulder rub like this.

If it were someone else, even a light squeeze would probably make her jump straight up.

“Though the offer’s tempting, you know I’m not the type to just freeload.” Leaning back, Eiru rested her head against Yuki’s stomach with her eyes half closed, enjoying his service.

“Money you earn yourself just feels better and more reliable to spend. I appreciate the kindness, but I’m not going to be some useless person who only relies on you.”

No, honestly he wouldn’t mind at all… Yuki smiled but, knowing her, he didn’t say more. If she agreed, it wouldn’t be like her at all.

Because even though she loved slacking off, she wasn’t without ambition. Lazy or not, she still had her own sense of pride. She would never become some kept woman living off of someone else.

“Be careful, okay? And… don’t turn back into a boy, just use that illusion-like ability you used earlier today. I’m worried your body can’t handle it…” Letting go of her shoulders, Yuki pinched her cute little face as he gave his warnings.

He’d already said this much, and stopping her outright would be inappropriate. But he still had to tell her, because she had no self-awareness and needed more reminders.

“Jixian sent me a message, he said I’ve taken too many leaves. The night study teacher wants to talk to me… so I can’t go with you.” Yuki sighed. Honestly, he’d rather go along with his little girlfriend to watch over her.

“Eh? Did I cause you trouble?” The Demon Lord startled. Her best friend had practically never been called in by a teacher before, was it her fault?

“No, you just make my heart sweet.”

“Ahhh, Lu Brat you’re so cute!” Unable to hold back, Yuki flipped the girl down and greedily took in her scent.

“Weren’t you… heading to work?” After a round of intimacy, Yuki stroked the girl curled up in his arms, gently caressing her back while asking with concern.

“Please, it’s still early, I’m just tying my hair ahead of time. Or are you trying to kick me out already?” The Demon Lord’s gaze instantly turned cold, her arms tightening around his waist.

“How could I? I wish I could spend more time with you…” Yuki bent his head to kiss her forehead softly. After all, what she lacked the most was the company of another.

“I mean, I used to be a boy, so with me always acting this spoiled toward you… don’t you find it weird or off-putting? Stupid Qi even complained to me about it…” Her Majesty the Demon Lord’s cheeks reddened slightly.

“I try to control it but I just can’t stop wanting to be spoiled by you… do you find me disgusting?” As she spoke, her gaze dimmed—this was something she herself struggled with.

“Want to hear the truth?” Yuki smiled at her question, scratching her chin with practiced ease.

“Mm…”

“Actually from back then, more than a boy, I always felt you were like a lively little girl…”

“Hey? Are you calling me girly?” The Demon Lord looked displeased. Why did that sound so familiar? Like someone had told her something similar before?

“So yeah, I think you’re a girl who was born the wrong gender and now returned to normal. You’ve always been a cute silly loli.” Yuki smiled as he pinched the back of her neck.

“Why are you saying this too… do I really seem so much like a girl?” Eiru muttered. Her cousin had said almost the exact same thing, leaving her feeling thrown.

“Has someone else said it?”

“Yeah… My cousin who’s known me since I was little said pretty much the same thing.”

“Exactly, you’re just a girl pretending to be a boy. This now is your real self, just accept it, don’t overthink it.”

“You just want to hit on me, don’t you? Am I that much your type…?” The Demon Lord rolled her eyes at him—so much talk just because he was thirsty for her body.

“Yes, I want to hit on you…” Yuki admitted without shame. “You don’t know how cute you are. If you lived like this for a while you’d get love letters until your hands were sore.”

“I’d just open them to find out who sent them and hand all those people over to the police station… lolicons, please get me out of here.” Her Majesty the Demon Lord made a disgusted face but also felt relieved. Good thing she had grown up as a boy or it would really have been troublesome.

“Eek… are you going to hand me over too? I’m so hurt…” Yuki pretended to be pitiful, only to get an even more disgusted look.

“If I were going to hand you over I wouldn’t have agreed. Idiot… you’re not like them…” As she spoke she got a little embarrassed, turning her face away.

“And I’ve always thought love letters are pretty cowardly. If you can’t even confess face to face it’s not real at all…”

“See how well I know you? I confessed directly to my cute wife…” Yuki’s smile carried a touch of smugness. “And my wife even said yes. Awesome.”

“Get lost, bastard… and I’m the husband, you’re the wife. Get our roles straight!”
