Demon King – Chapter 335 – Got You Now

“So what now? Are we just gonna let her keep sleeping here?” Jiaqi spread his hands, looking helpless.

He had to admit, when it came to this childhood friend of his… he really wasn’t like her boyfriend. Compared to Yuki, Jiaqi acted more like a trollish buddy, and his demeanor completely showed off a fake brotherhood at its finest.

“You’re kidding, right? This is the track field,” Yuki shot back immediately. There’s no way he could let his little girlfriend sleep peacefully in a place like this. And with all these people around looking at her outfit, he was about to lose it.

“Then what do we do? Are you gonna carry her yourself, all sweaty like that?” Jiaqi scratched his head, troubled. His childhood friend was now a cute little loli girl, and after finishing their physical test, they all knew better. Getting sweat all over someone like her was just wrong.

“Forget that for a sec, Yuki. Even if you do carry her, where are you planning to take her? She’s asleep. How the hell are we supposed to get past the dorm supervisor?” Jixian, the calmest of the group, laid out the issue logically. Without Eiru’s illusion magic, there was no way a bunch of boys could sneak her into the dorm.

“How about the classroom or the rooftop?”

“A group of boys carrying a loli princess to some empty place? That sounds straight out of a dirty doujin.”

“You’re the one with problems! How do you even twist it like that? And anyway, we’re already standing around her like creeps, aren’t we?”

While the boys argued, a figure in the distance noticed the strange scene. After frowning in confusion, curiosity got the better of her and she began walking toward them.

“What are you all doing?” A pleasant and familiar female voice rang out beside them.

All the boys turned at once. When they saw who it was, everyone except Yuki looked like they’d just seen their savior.

“Yueyue! Perfect timing! We’ve got a huge problem here!” Jiaqi exclaimed, grabbing one of her hands excitedly.

“Her? What’s wrong…” Yueyue frowned, puzzled by his reaction, but didn’t think much of it. And then she noticed the silver-haired loli curled up on a chair.

“She fell asleep! We’re trying to figure out what to do with her!”

“Asleep? Here? You guys just let her nap like this?” Yueyue twitched her mouth.

“Forget that for now, Yueyue, did you take the physical test yet? We just finished running and we’re covered in sweat. It’s kinda awkward for us to carry her…” Jixian shot Ziyu a glare to stop him from saying anything stupid and quickly redirected the topic.

“You still want to carry her?” Yueyue was stunned. She quickly bent down and picked the girl up herself, shooting the group a wary look.

A girl’s reputation is important! What the hell were these guys thinking? Standing around a sleeping loli in public and even talking about carrying her?

Though Yueyue was as straight as they come, after learning that Eiru was actually a girl, she had no romantic feelings toward her anymore. Still, the affection she’d built up combined with Eiru’s unfairly cute appearance made her subconsciously treat the girl like a younger sister.

“Even if she was raised as a boy, that doesn’t mean you can take advantage of her…” Yueyue scolded, hugging the small, kitten-like girl tighter and glared at the boys.

Hearing this, the trio didn’t look guilty or embarrassed at all. Instead, they all turned in unison to look at Yuki.

Yuki froze. The look in their eyes, as if they were saying “Hey, she’s talking about you”, made his whole body tense up. Damn it, are these what you call friends? Traitors, all of them!

“What are you boys doing here?” came a sudden voice.

The group turned to see a stranger, someone none of the boys had seen before, approaching them.

“Ah, Teacher Qi…” Yueyue began to greet her homeroom teacher, but was immediately cut off by the teacher’s startled shout.

“Wait!? Yueyue, who is that you’re holding?!”

“Huh? Teacher… this is…” Caught off guard by her teacher’s sudden outburst, Yueyue flinched, instinctively stepping back a little.

“Let me see!!!”

“Teacher, she’s my friend…” Yueyue tried to explain, but knowing her teacher’s personality after spending time in her class, she wasn’t surprised. When Qi Rong got excited, she completely forgot she was supposed to be a teacher and acted more like a hyper fangirl.

“I knew it! Lu Baby! I finally caught you, you little demon!” Qi Rong exclaimed the moment she saw the girl’s face. She looked beyond thrilled—I’ve been looking for you so long, and today, this little brat is finally in my hands.

“Mmmf…” Feeling the teacher’s intense gaze, the sleeping Demon Lord made a soft, uneasy sound. Curling closer into Yueyue’s arms, she rubbed her head against Yueyue’s shoulder like a kitten before tucking herself into an even smaller ball.

“There, there… good girl…” Yueyue cooed softly, her instincts kicking in. Having cared for her younger half-brother as a child, she was a natural at comforting someone smaller than her. The gentle, sisterly image made Qi Rong clutch at her chest.

“Aaaah, Lu Baby is still so adorable…”

The boys were speechless. They’d just heard what Yueyue called her, and this woman, acting like an overexcited fangirl, was apparently a teacher at their school?

“Teacher, you know Lulu?” Yueyue asked, picking up on her teacher’s reaction. At the very least, her homeroom teacher clearly recognized Eiru.

If the little girl were awake, she’d probably be mortified hearing Yueyue call her that. Didn’t I tell you not to use that nickname?! That bastard Agui made me hate it!

“Of course I do! That girl even stayed at my house once! She stole my room!” Qi Rong said proudly, hands on her hips. Apparently, she’d known Eiru for quite a while.

“Huh?” Hearing that, Yuki perked up. Someone else knew his girlfriend? And it was a teacher? There’s definitely a story here, so he had to find out.

“To put it simply, a few months ago she was kidnapped by human traffickers… My dad was the one who brought her home afterward,” Qi Rong explained casually. It wasn’t something she thought needed to be hidden, so she shared it openly with her favorite student.

What?! She was kidnapped before?! Yuki’s face went pale. So that wasn’t even her first encounter with traffickers? She’s never told me about something that serious?!
