Demon King – Chapter 449 – The Little Demon Lord Falls into Chaos
“Tch… I need to go home today.”
Inside the dorm, Yuki suddenly tossed out a line like that to the other three.
“What the hell, it’s not even the weekend… you skipping evening study and planning to bail? And you’re ditching your wife too?”
Jixian’s first reaction was pure shock. For boarders like them, going home on a non-weekend was basically unheard of.
“Family stuff again?”
The little Demon Lord jumped onto Yuki’s back and wrapped her arms around his neck. She could more or less guess it. She knew a bit about Yuki’s family situation.
“Yeah, it’s pretty troublesome… even my old man rushed back.”
“Ah… in that case… would it be convenient for me to go to your place and hang out?”
Since even his mysterious father had shown up, Her Majesty the Demon Lord was kind of itching to go over and eat some melons. But then she thought about it again. Showing up uninvited to someone else’s family mess didn’t really seem polite.
“Forget it, just pretend I didn’t say anything…”
“What, that eager to meet the parents?”
Yuki laughed and teased her. Of course he knew his little girlfriend was just curious about his father.
“Get lost! It’s just that I’ve known you this long and never seen your dad, so I’m curious, alright…”

Resting her chin on Yuki’s head, the Demon Lord casually squeezed his cheeks with her small hands.
“Alright, alright, I’ll take you back with me today… but you have to behave. Don’t stir up trouble. Just stay in my room.”
They were going to be family sooner or later anyway. Yuki didn’t think bringing a loli home was a big deal.
“I’m very well behaved, okay? But is it really convenient? Your family issues… it’s kind of awkward for an outsider like me, isn’t it?”
“It’s fine. We’re not dealing with the problem at my place anyway. When I’m not around, just stay in the room and you’ll be fine.”
Rubbing the small head resting on his own, Yuki spoke indulgently. As long as it was something Eiru wanted, he always tried his best to satisfy her.
Patting the little head to signal her to get down, Yuki left the dorm to take care of the leave paperwork. As soon as he was gone, Jixian and Ziyu quickly crowded around the girl.
“Little Princess, spill it. What’s going on with Brother Yuki’s family?”
It wasn’t the first or second time Yuki had suddenly gone home because of family matters. Jixian and Ziyu had no idea about the details. And since he always kept his mouth shut, no matter how curious they were, it wasn’t polite to ask.
But from Eiru’s reaction, she clearly knew something. With Yuki gone, this was the perfect chance to gossip and squeeze out a bit of insider info from this dumb girl. Even a little would satisfy their curiosity.
“I don’t know the specifics either. It’s something to do with his maternal grandparents’ side, I think? It’s pretty complicated…”
Since she only knew part of it, the Demon Lord didn’t dare comment much.

She wasn’t the type to exaggerate things with a loose mouth either. And it was someone else’s family business. Saying too much wouldn’t be appropriate. So she kept it to the bare minimum.
“Every family has its own hard-to-read scripture… that said, Little Princess, you’re so mystical. Has Brother Yuki never asked you for help?”
Ziyu was genuinely curious. With a ready-made cheat sitting right there, Yuki never once considered letting this Demon Lord help solve things?
“Not everyone is as shameless as you, wanting to use magic even for getting out of being single…”
The little Demon Lord shot him a look.
“Stupid Yuki is the type who likes to keep his feet on the ground and do things himself. He can ask others for help when appropriate, but he’ll never rely on something like that.”
“Damn, that’s brutal! What’s wrong with me asking for a wife?”
Ziyu was just short of crying on the spot. Though if a grown man actually started sobbing like that, the other two might throw up their lunch.
“And besides, your Hulu didn’t solve my problem either. It just brought me a pile of mosquitoes, bugs, fat dogs, and fat cats. I’m about to crack…”
Clutching his chest in exaggerated heartbreak, Ziyu’s dramatic acting earned him nothing but looks of disdain from the other two.
“Little Princess, hurry up and use your invincible magic to help me escape singlehood! I want to hand out dog food too! Preferably a rich one who can keep me! I don’t want to work hard anymore!”
“Sure. I’ll put together a whole phonebook of rich women for you later. You can just call them one by one and try your luck.”
Spreading her hands, the little Demon Lord felt that something at this level really didn’t need magic.

“Noooo! Do you have a rich girl contact list? Poor girls are fine too. Worst case, I’ll steal electric scooters to raise her!”
“Having dreams is a good thing. Don’t give up on your dreams. Keep sleeping.”
Patting Ziyu on the shoulder, Eiru put on an expression of heavy, caring concern for idiots. This poor kid had been single for too long. He’d lost it. Completely hopeless.
“But Little Princess, there’s something I’m curious about.”
Jixian suddenly threw out a bombshell question.
“You were raised as a boy and thought of yourself as a boy all along. Then why would you like Brother Yuki, who’s also a boy?”
The question instantly froze the girl in place.
“I…”
After being stunned for quite a while, Her Majesty the Demon Lord slowly gave an answer.
“I… actually… don’t like him? I’m just trying things out, I guess, because he likes me.”
The moment she said it, Eiru felt something was off.
‘Why did that sound like something a scumbag woman would say?’

‘No, no, no. I’m a macho man. Stupid Yuki is the wife. If there’s a scumbag, it should be him…’
Shaking her head to throw those weird thoughts out, the truth was she herself still didn’t understand what kind of relationship she and Yuki actually had.
On paper, they were boyfriend and girlfriend. Yuki was indeed full of affection for her. But toward him, she only felt dependence and a bond deeper than friendship… love itself really wasn’t there.
Every time she thought about this, she would fall into confusion. She wanted to like Yuki, to respond to his feelings, but they had been “brothers” for too long. She just couldn’t make that turn. Even those over-the-line intimate actions and thoughts were nothing more than a mindset of he treats me so well, let the brother enjoy it a bit.
Yuki knew this too. He was practically vomiting blood over it inside. But he kept deliberately avoiding the topic, letting this dumb girl stay in a mostly brain-empty state, interacting with him through instinctive clinginess and dependence.
Because he knew that once this issue was brought up, Eiru would definitely fall into chaos. And because she couldn’t return his feelings, she would start overthinking out of guilt.
Eiru wanted to like Yuki, but just couldn’t. Yuki wanted to work hard to make Eiru like him, but for the time being he had no good ideas either. Even running to Jiaqi every few days for advice hadn’t produced any results.
Of course, by “advice” he meant asking about things Eiru used to do or habits he didn’t know about, hoping to find some clues. After all, Jiaqi had never dated either, and he even had feelings for Eiru himself. Asking him directly about romance would be straight-up emotional murder.
“Anyway, anyway… I don’t know… I’m so confused.”
Jixian’s question sent Her Majesty the Demon Lord straight into chaos, clutching her head.
Even now, she still didn’t know her own sexual orientation, didn’t understand what love was supposed to feel like, or how she was supposed to respond to it…
