Demon King – Chapter 519 – Yuki’s Big Picture
“What? It was bought already?”
Agui came to the model shop over the weekend, having traveled all the way there, only to receive this shocking piece of news.
“No, it was still here yesterday. I even said you should help me keep it for a while and I’d come back to buy it later. How did you go and sell it just like that?”
He was freaking out now. On the phone that day, he had agreed so confidently, saying he would first front the money for that girl, and once she had the cash, she would buy it from him.
He had planned to use this to farm some goodwill, and with that girl owing him a favor, there would be plenty of chances later to make something out of it. But now, this was a case of dying before even leaving the camp? Forget farming goodwill. If she found out he did not get it, whether his favorability would go negative was the real question.
“Bro, we’re running a business here. You gave us an empty promise, how are we supposed to know when you’ll come buy it? And we’re in a rush to clear stock. If someone is willing to pay right now, why wouldn’t we sell it?”
The shop owner could not be bothered to explain so much to Agui. They were not familiar with each other anyway. Who was going to seriously help you keep something just because you said so? If you had put down a deposit, that would be one thing. But just saying a few words, who would feel secure about that?
The only one who could suddenly intercept it at this timing was naturally that certain student Yuki who doted on his girl wife. After learning about the situation, how could he possibly let Agui’s scheme succeed? He immediately called someone to come over and make the purchase first.
Although Yuki did indeed have the ability to directly buy out the entire shop, he was not some domineering CEO type. Buying out the whole shop would not accomplish anything anyway. Once he knew which model his little girlfriend wanted to buy, intercepting that one item was more than enough.
“However, that person did leave a note, saying that if someone came later wanting to buy it, they could follow what’s written on the note and go talk to him.”

Just as Agui did not know what to do, the shop owner suddenly dropped this piece of information and took out the note he had received the night before.
“Hm? Alright then… let me see the note.”
With no other options, Agui could only take things one step at a time.
Probably a scalper, right? Buying it and then selling it at a higher price. Running into this kind of bad luck was really damn unlucky. Cursing inwardly, Agui saw that the note only had a time and a location written on it. It looked like he was supposed to go meet the other party at that time.
Whatever. For the sake of playing with that girl, paying a bit more is paying a bit more. Hopefully that scalper would show some mercy and not butcher him too badly. Judging that his finances were still fairly comfortable, Agui had no other choice but to go play the role of that fat sheep waiting to be slaughtered.
“Damn it, making me spend this much money. When the time comes, I’ll make sure to play with you enough to get it back. Once I get you in my hands, I’ll definitely get my money’s worth from you…”
On the way back, a resentful Agui kicked a stone by the roadside hard.
“Forget it. I’ve got nothing else going on anyway. I’ll go look for my silly girl first to calm myself down…”
Muttering like this, Agui took out his phone and dialed a number.

Not being able to buy the model was something Agui naturally did not dare tell Eiru. So the little Demon Lord, completely unaware of it, was happily relieved that the gift was secured while also thinking about ways to save up the money as quickly as possible.
“Such a headache. Only on weekends do the dorm supervisors not check, so I can go work…”
While counting up all her various savings, Her Majesty the Demon Lord was truly being driven crazy these past few days.
Her shifts at the milk tea shop had been cut down to only the two weekend days. From Monday to Friday, she could not work at all. That was not even mentioning going according to plan and secretly applying at that newly opened café behind Yuki’s back.
Why hide it from Yuki? Of course because Yuki did not agree to her taking on another job. Just look at those thin arms and delicate legs of hers. Which husband who dotes on his wife would agree to let her go work?
But if she did not work, she would not have money. If she did not have money, she could not buy Yuki a gift. To be honest, if it was not because she needed a favor, Eiru did not really want to interact much with that Agui. Naturally, she wanted to redeem the model from his hands as soon as possible.
When it came to her own matters, she was a bit slow. Even if she did not fully understand whether Agui had ulterior motives toward her or not, she could still see it, or at least suspect, that the other party might have that kind of intention toward her.
So with the awareness of being Yuki’s girlfriend, the little Demon Lord tried her best to avoid having too much interaction with him. She was not some cheating woman. Once she became Yuki’s girlfriend, she had to be wholehearted about it, right? Even if she had not fallen in love yet…

“By the way, what did Stupid Yuki and Stupid Qi run off to do? Acting all mysterious…”
After looking around the dorm, during this weekend time, she found that she was actually the only one left in the dorm. The empty feeling, to be honest, made Her Majesty the Demon Lord feel a little grumpy. You could say it was fine if the others ran off, but how come even Yuki was not staying to keep her company?
“Forget it, forget it. Everyone has their own things to do. I can’t possibly demand that those two idiots aren’t allowed to leave.”
Grumbling aside, the little Demon Lord quickly adjusted her mindset and continued working out her savings plan.
At the same time, over on Yuki’s side, the two of them looked like gangsters meeting for a deal in a movie, standing on the rooftop and staring at each other with serious expressions.
“You’re saying that dog bastard has ideas about Lu Brat?”
The news Yuki shared greatly shocked Jiaqi. As his childhood friend, he could not just sit by and do nothing.
“I’m disgusted. I already said Lu Brat is way too cute now and told her to be more careful. And now look, she’s invited a wolf in, huh?”
Smacking his lips, after hearing what someone had done, Jiaqi’s fists clenched tightly.

Leaving aside the fact that Jiaqi himself was one of the people who had feelings for Eiru, even if it was just as a childhood friend, there was no way he would allow someone to have this kind of thought toward his friend. Someone like Yuki who pursued her openly was one thing. But if you were just lusting after her body and using underhanded methods, that was straight-up stepping into his minefield.
And to make Jiaqi understand how serious the situation was, Yuki also explained in detail all the things Agui had said to Eiru before, as well as the two times he had almost fooled the girl into a daze. After hearing all that, while cursing that the girl was truly stupid, Jiaqi was so angry that he slammed a punch directly into the concrete railing beside him.
Looking at the person in front of him howling in pain, Yuki suddenly felt like he might have found the wrong person. So you’re a dumbass too? Why do I feel like you’re unreliable as well?
“Enough talk. How do we deal with him? Count me in. I definitely have to beat him half to death…”
Rubbing his reddened fist, Jiaqi stated that this time they absolutely had to teach the other party a lesson. On this point, he and Yuki were actually in agreement.
“Too small. Your thinking is too small. Treating the symptoms but not the root is useless. If it was just about dealing with that beast, I wouldn’t need to come talk to you.”
In Yuki’s view, even if they dealt with one Agui, as long as that girl did not get smarter, a second or third Agui would definitely appear. Although Agui was someone who absolutely had to be dealt with, if they wanted to solve the problem once and for all, they had to let Eiru see the other party’s true face clearly.
Only by letting her understand that not everyone who is good to her is genuinely good to her could that silly girl finally learn to be smarter.
