Demon King – Chapter 521 – Yuki’s Calculations

“There something wrong with your brain? I don’t even know you. Why the hell did you just punch me?”

Covering his bleeding nose, Agui sat on the ground, his face full of anger and confusion.

He had just run over to this place and hadn’t even seen anyone yet. This white-haired guy had frozen for a second when he saw him, then rushed up and planted a punch straight into his nose. He vaguely felt like he had seen this person somewhere before, but he had no concrete memory of it.

“What you’ve done, don’t tell me you have no idea.”

Yuki grabbed him by the collar. Even though Yuki had never formally met Agui before, he had confirmed the man’s identity at first glance.

“Yuki, it’s him right? Good. Step aside, I’ll take care of it. I’ll send him on his way.”

Hui Jiaqi looked eager, practically itching to use this guy to warm up his fists.

“Wait wait wait, what the hell did I even do? If I’m going to die, at least let me die knowing why.”

Agui panicked. He had thought this was just meeting a scalper to buy something, so he came alone. He never expected things to turn out like this.

“Eiru. Ring a bell?”

Yuki tugged on Agui’s collar and coldly reminded him.

“Who? Don’t know her. You got the wrong person?”

Agui instantly understood the situation and started playing dumb. But when he heard the name of that certain girl, the flash of surprise that crossed his eyes for a split second was still caught by Yuki.

“You don’t know her? Yuki, you sure you didn’t hit the wrong guy? I remember you saying you hadn’t actually met that Agui before either.”

Hui Jiaqi’s momentum dropped immediately. If they really had the wrong person, this would get awkward fast.

“Is that so?”

Yuki let go, pulled out his phone, and showed Agui the wallpaper on his screen. It was a photo of him together with Eiru.

“The girl next to me. You’re not going to tell me you don’t recognize her either, right?”

“Don’t know her, don’t know her. Who’s that? Pretty cute though. You’ve both got white hair, so she’s probably your little sister?”

Agui decisively kept playing dumb. He wasn’t sure if that loli had sold him out, but as long as he denied everything, he figured the guy in front of him couldn’t really do anything to him.

“Pfft…” Yuki suddenly laughed, leaving the two people next to him completely baffled. Before they could react, Yuki threw another punch straight into Agui’s face.

“Hold on, Yuki, calm down. He just said Lu Brat is your sister, right? You two do look similar enough for people to misunderstand. No need to get this worked up.”

Hui Jiaqi rushed over and grabbed Yuki, genuinely thinking it was a case of mistaken identity.

“Save your strength. You’ll need it later to beat up that Agui.”

“Damn, are you sick or what? I already said I don’t know her. If you’re going to stand up for someone, at least make sure you’ve got the right guy.”

Covering his face, Agui leaned hard into his act. Anyone who didn’t know better would really think he was the wronged one here.

“You weren’t saying that back at the mall.”

Yuki sneered.

“You said you were a friend of those two sisters and even tried to snatch them from me.”

That little bit of probing was enough to make him blow his own cover. His level was way too low.

That dangerous scene back then was still vivid in Yuki’s mind. If a few people hadn’t suddenly shown up to help him out, he really might not have been able to keep the two sisters safe from that group. And the one leading them, the very guy now lying on the ground after taking two punches from him, had naturally left a deep impression.

With that reminder, Agui on the ground also remembered where he had seen this person before. That distinctive silver hair had stuck with him, but for a moment he had completely forgotten about that incident.

Well, this was great. He had really crashed and burned here. That furious little boyfriend protecting his girl had clearly confirmed his identity and was probably about to tear him apart alive. At this point, Agui also understood that there had never been any scalper. This whole thing was a trap set specifically for him.

Agui desperately searched for a way out in his head. He knew that stupid girl had probably told the other guy everything in one go. Honestly speaking, all these years he had never dealt with a girl who already had a boyfriend. He had zero experience with this situation.

If that silver-haired loli hadn’t been so damn cute, and if there wasn’t a high chance of getting a buy-one-get-one deal, he never would have taken the risk to try and hook and trick that girl. He had thought she didn’t even have his contact info and didn’t know what he looked like, so there was no way he’d get caught. And yet here he was.

Hadn’t she said she was going to give him a surprise? Then why did this guy know it was about buying that model, and even know he planned to pay on her behalf, deliberately luring him out? Did she have some kind of misunderstanding about what the word “surprise” meant?

“I’m not going to say much to you. If I beat you to death, I’d still have to take responsibility, and it’d dirty my hands.”

Yuki suddenly squatted down, gripping Agui’s shoulder as he spoke coldly.

“I’ll give you one chance to live. Stay away from her from now on. If I catch you having any ideas about her again, it won’t just be two punches. I’ll make sure you lose the ability to commit crimes. I think you understand what I mean.”

Agui couldn’t believe his ears. This guy was actually planning to just let him go? Wasn’t that way too naive? He must have worked hard to catch him, just to warn him and throw a couple of punches?

“You still not getting lost? Want me to add the guy next to me into the beating?”

Seeing Agui still standing there in shock, Yuki barked again, scaring him into scrambling and crawling away as fast as he could.

“Yuki, you’re really just letting him go?”

Hui Jiaqi couldn’t understand it.

“Just a few warnings and he’ll listen? He won’t go near Lu Brat again?”

“Of course not.”

Yuki shot down the idea immediately.

“If getting scared like that was enough, how would he ever dare to hit on someone who already has a boyfriend?”

“Then why let him walk?”

“What else do you suggest? Beat him to death here?”

Yuki rolled his eyes at him.

“And if Lu Brat doesn’t see his true face clearly, there’ll just be a second or third guy trying to trick her later. What then?”

This round of intimidation would at least leave some kind of knot in that bastard’s mind. Every time he tried something with Eiru, he’d hesitate a little. Of course, Yuki had also considered whether this might trigger a sense of revenge and make the guy even more determined to dig at his relationship out of spite.

But that kind of emotion would definitely mess with his rhythm. Yuki had already seen through him. This guy was a small-time player. Unlike that Lei-surnamed idiot who only knew how to force and threaten, this one preferred mind games.

In a way, it was similar to dating. It all relied on rhythm, a rhythm easily disrupted by all kinds of situations. Once that rhythm was broken, it became much easier for him to slip up and let his true colors show, letting Yuki’s little girlfriend see him for what he really was.

As long as he panicked and his rhythm collapsed, everything would flip around. Forget tricking Eiru. That sharp little girl could turn around and trap him until he looked like a fool.
