Demon King – Chapter 535 – Little Liru, Please Don’t Go Racy
Sitting by the river embankment, the little Demon Lord clutched her head. Her mind was a tangled mess, and scenes she had witnessed not long ago kept replaying before her eyes.
Her plan could be said to be progressing very smoothly. While Yuki and Xuenan maintained a certain distance, their relationship had gradually become more familiar. Even though one of them was already so uncomfortable inside that he wanted to grab a certain loli and drag her back to perform Ansai waist drums.
Setting everything else aside, just the fact of being reported meant that it was basically impossible for Yuki to give Xuenan a good attitude. But since it was his wife’s plan, he still had to cooperate. So he could only endure the discomfort in his heart and maintain a polite surface interaction with her.
Eiru, meanwhile, stayed in a transparent state the entire time, following behind the two of them, trying to catch any abnormal behavior from Xuenan to determine her attitude toward Jixian. Originally, this plan had no real issues. The problem was that Xuenan really did stir something up.
Calling it stirring something up was a bit much. It was actually a relatively normal girlish reaction. As if she had suddenly spotted something interesting, Xuenan wanted to pull Yuki over to take a look together, so she naturally reached out to grab Yuki’s hand.
Yuki reacted instantly and dodged it. Being the one involved, this normal response didn’t make him think too much about it. But for the loli watching this scene from behind, her heart was anything but calm.
It felt as if something had grabbed hold of her heart. The little Demon Lord suddenly felt a tight, painful twist in her chest. Gone was her earlier playfulness and composure. With her thoughts in complete chaos, she didn’t know what came over her and simply turned around and ran away.
“I… what’s wrong with me…”
By the time Eiru came back to her senses, she realized she had already run all the way to the river embankment.
She casually found a place to sit down, and Her Majesty the Demon Lord began questioning her life choices. She didn’t understand why she had suddenly run away, nor did she know why she had reacted like that.
‘Me? Jealous?’
The moment this thought surfaced, Eiru shook her head and rejected it outright. Logically speaking, did she like Yuki or not? Wouldn’t she know that herself? She hadn’t even fallen for him yet, so where would jealousy come from?

“It feels like I had something similar before? Is it the same thing…”
She recalled the time before Yuki confessed to her, when she had thought he liked someone else.
Yuki occupied a uniquely important place in her heart. When she thought that he liked someone else and would likely distance himself from her because of that, her heart had been just as chaotic as it was now.
But back then, she had quickly sorted out her thoughts and planned to stick close to him a few more times, act spoiled a bit, and then keep her distance from him. Before she could do that, though, Yuki confessed, so naturally none of that happened.
The current feeling was very similar to back then, yet somehow different in a way she couldn’t pinpoint. Eiru couldn’t understand it at all. She clearly knew that it was impossible for anything to happen between Yuki and Xuenan. This clean and innocent relationship, so why did it make her react like this?
Since she couldn’t figure it out, then don’t think about it. That had always been her style. The little Demon Lord started looking around the river embankment, trying to distract herself, when she spotted a familiar figure.
“Liru? And the person next to her is?”
The little girl happily chatting with a young man by the river embankment, who else could it be but that mysterious little Liru? Seeing Liru talking with someone else for the first time did surprise Eiru quite a bit.
Because of the distance, the little Demon Lord couldn’t hear what they were talking about. She also had no interest in using magic to enhance her hearing or anything like that. Spying on other people’s privacy was impolite.
Still, Liru looked extremely happy and excited, chattering away nonstop. Perhaps because he couldn’t get a word in, the young man on the other side had a somewhat helpless expression on his face.
After quite a while, the young man lowered his head to check his watch, bent down and seemed to say a few things to Liru, then waved goodbye and left.

The little girl also looked very happy, standing on her tiptoes and waving nonstop in the direction the young man left. Her attention was completely on his retreating figure, and she didn’t even notice someone sneaking up behind her.
“Li~ru~ who was that?”
Her Majesty the Demon Lord quietly crept up behind her and pounced onto her, looking at the young man’s distant back as she asked curiously.
“Wah, you scared me! Give some warning before you pounce on people!”
Being suddenly jumped like that, Liru was so startled she nearly jumped up. But after seeing Eiru’s face, she let out a sigh of relief.
“That was my brother. I’ve been playing around here all this time, right? When he has time, he comes over to check on me.”
‘Huh? Liru’s brother? Wasn’t he already…’
After a moment of confusion, Her Majesty the Demon Lord reacted. Brothers weren’t limited to just one. Cousins and the like were perfectly normal too.
“But somehow, I feel like your mood isn’t very good?”
Tilting her body slightly and carefully observing the silver-haired loli in front of her, Liru noticed that her current state seemed a bit off.
“Huh? Is it that obvious?”

Her Majesty the Demon Lord looked herself over. She felt like she had adjusted pretty well.
‘Could kids really be that sensitive? Could they even tell something like this?’
“It’s not obvious. Normal people might not be able to tell, but I’m not normal!”
With her hands on her hips, Liru’s smug little expression was very fitting for a nine-year-old child.
“Let me guess again. Do you have a boyfriend, and because of him, you’re in a bad mood?”
‘Do you fucking read minds?!’
The little Demon Lord stared at the girl in front of her in shock. The earlier part could still be explained by observation, but this part definitely wasn’t something you could deduce just by looking.
“Are you jealous? Don’t tell me your boyfriend is playing with another girl. That’s not good, you know?”
“You’re the one who’s jealous! I’m just trying things out with him. I haven’t even fallen for him yet. Where would jealousy come from? And how the hell did you figure this out just from my expression and state!”
This couldn’t be explained by sensitivity or observation at all. This was downright monstrous. Even Eiru, as a Demon Lord, didn’t have mind-reading abilities. She relied almost entirely on information and inference. What the hell was going on with Liru?
“But pink is about emotional issues… and if there’s a bit of black mixed in, I guessed it should be jealousy?”

“What are you talking about?”
Liru’s words left the little Demon Lord completely baffled. What pink and black? We’re all decent people here. Please don’t go racy, thanks.
“Nothing… anyway, I’m sure it definitely has something to do with your boyfriend!”
Whether Eiru admitted it or not, Liru remained confident in her guess.
“Whether it’s jealousy or not, if he’s playing around with other girls, then you should grab him and give him a good lesson. How can he ditch his girlfriend to hang out with someone else? That’s way too much!”
‘Kids these days, even nine-year-olds know this much?;
Listening to Liru’s childlike declaration, Her Majesty the Demon Lord didn’t know whether to laugh or cry.
‘And the most important problem was that Stupid Yuki… was the one I sent out in the first place.’
A hole she dug herself, she had to jump into even if she cried.
