On the hospital bed, Eiya was still sleeping quietly. The various monitoring devices beside her and the doctors rushing around all made it clear just how serious her condition was.

Something that superstitious was impossible to explain to the doctors. All they could do was pray the hospital would give them a diagnosis, proof that Eiya was just sick like any ordinary child.

But what was the point of running from it? No matter how much they tried to hypnotize themselves, the truth of what was going on was clearer to them than to anyone else. That is, aside from a certain girl’s spirit body that had drifted over after sensing something and was now floating above Eiya’s hospital bed.
