Demon King – Chapter 719 – If You’re Good Brothers, You’ve Got to Take Advantage
Demon King – Chapter 719 – If You’re Good Brothers, You’ve Got to Take Advantage
Thinking about all the ways Eiru could mess with people once her prankster instincts kicked in, combined with what Yuki had just said, Jiaqi immediately felt a chill run down his spine.
“Then Lu Brat right now…”
“She burned through quite a bit of magic and stamina. After changing clothes, I just finished coaxing her to sleep.”
While answering, Yuki walked into the bathroom and placed the clothes his little girlfriend had changed out of onto the sink inside.
“You really are such a mom guy…”
Jiaqi muttered a complaint, but at the same time he finally relaxed, feeling like he had narrowly escaped death.
“Don’t be too nervous. She dotes on little Eiya that much… it’s just that feeling of being unhappy about her precious cabbage getting rooted by a pig. She’s not actually going to do anything to you.”
“The hell, you just said she’d confiscate my crime tool…”
“It might not be permanent confiscation. Maybe she’ll let you switch between being a guy and a girl or something?”
Yuki came back out, rubbing his chin as he thought it over.
“Anyway, it depends on her mood.”
“Why do you know this in such detail… Have you experienced it yourself?”
Yuki froze for a moment, then slowly turned his head toward Jiaqi, a half-smile hanging on his face.
“Should I wake her up instead? Wouldn’t it be better if you experienced it firsthand?”

“Alright alright! I won’t ask, I won’t ask!”
As curious as he was, Jiaqi had no choice but to force that damned curiosity down for the sake of protecting his little brother.
“By the way, don’t you have a cousin sister living at your place? Why haven’t I seen her?”
If he remembered right, Yuki’s cousin was also a first-year student at their school. Finals were coming up, yet she wasn’t staying home to study?
“Oh, her? She gave up. Went out to meet an online friend.”
When Yuki said this, Jiaqi could hear a hint of frustration in his otherwise flat tone.
“She’s in a first-year problem class, you get it? Not like Lu Brat playing dumb while being actually strong. She’s the real deal, pure slacking off.”
Yuki did care about this little cousin of his, and had tried tutoring her many times before. Even though the teaching methods Eiru had passed on to him were absurdly effective, they were still useless against someone who simply didn’t want to learn.
“Even if her grades are bad, you can’t just let a girl go out alone to meet some online friend, right? You know what the Eastern District is like, and people on the internet…”
“She’s not some socially clueless sweetheart like Lu Brat or little Eiya.”
Cutting off Jiaqi’s concern, Yuki made it clear that he knew exactly what Xueli was capable of.
Xueli’s grades might be bad, but she wasn’t stupid. At least when it came to dealing with people, she could be considered a seasoned old hand. If she didn’t have some real ability, how would Yuki dare let her go meet some unknown online friend alone?
“Uh… is that so? But now that you mention it, wait. Lu Brat ran over here, so where did Eiya go?”

Jiaqi suddenly realized something was off. Given Eiru’s personality, if Eiya were home alone, there was no way she would just run out like this.
Come to think of it, it was pretty amazing. Whether Eiya was out playing or visiting someone else’s house, the little Demon Lord was always unhurried, even looking like she’d drunk some forget-the-kid milk.
But only when Eiya was home alone would Eiru become restless while outside, itching to rush back immediately to accompany and watch over her troublesome little sister.
Maybe it was because she had experienced that kind of loneliness herself as a child, and didn’t want her sister to feel the same? Or maybe she was worried that the ingredient-destroyer might sneak into the kitchen to wreak havoc while no one was around?
“I’m sure there haven’t been any adults at Lu Brat’s place lately. Since she’s here, that means Eiya went out to play?”
“Probably? But that’s not really a problem, is it? Look, Lu Brat isn’t even in a hurry. She’s sleeping like a log.”
Pointing toward his room, Yuki didn’t seem particularly concerned about Eiya at all.
If there were really a problem, the one inside would’ve already jumped out. The person who should be the most anxious was calm as hell, so what was there for him to panic about?
“But the main issue right now is still you. While neither of them is here, let’s sit down and talk properly.”
Yuki suddenly carried himself like the master of the house, gesturing for Jiaqi to sit as he prepared to discuss something serious.
“You asked me about eating the grass next to the nest. That means when it comes to pursuing Little Eiya, you still feel some kind of burden in your heart?”
“That’s part of it. I still see her more as a little sister… honestly, even now, I’m not sure if I really have romantic feelings for her.”
‘Hmmm, pretty similar to my situation back then. Though mine wasn’t quite the same. I thought Lu Brat was my own girlfriend at the time…’

Yuki thought to himself. Since Jiaqi himself wasn’t clear on his feelings, there wasn’t much advice Yuki could give.
“First, properly figure out what you really feel. If you truly like Little Eiya, I can help keep Lu Brat in check on my side… but Eiya herself, you’ll have to handle on your own.”
A wave of emotion surged up, and Jiaqi stood up excitedly and grabbed Yuki’s hand. To have such a reliable good brother like him really was…
“So go on, call me brother-in-law and let me hear it. Remember to sound sincere. I don’t want a perfunctory tone.”
“Aren’t we good brothers?! Why are you still thinking about taking advantage of me at a time like this?!”
The grip on his hand tightened as Jiaqi howled internally. Give me back my feelings from just now!
“No no no. If this works out, you’ll be my brother-in-law, get it? Not just me. You’ll also have to call Lu Brat dear big sister…”
‘For fuck’s sake…’
Jiaqi suddenly felt like his life had turned completely gray. He was clearly the oldest of the three, yet somehow he ended up becoming the youngest one instead?
Just as the two of them were fooling around, the sound of a key entering the lock suddenly came from outside. As the door opened, a figure walked in that instantly left Yuki dumbfounded…
“Hm? Our Little Ki has a friend over? Eh, you are… Hui Jiaqi, right?”
“Huh? Hello, hello… sorry for the disturbance.”
Jiaqi quickly let go of Yuki’s hand and politely responded to the figure at the door.

“Oh, it’s fine, it’s fine. You two played together a lot when you were little… You’ve been abroad for so long, Auntie almost couldn’t recognize you anymore, hahaha.”
“I’m just back to grab some things, I’ll be gone right away. Ki, take out those snacks you’ve hidden and give some to Jiaqi, okay? He doesn’t come by often.”
Signaling that they didn’t need to mind her, Yuki’s mother said a few words and hurried back into her room, rummaging around inside.
“My mom’s always like this, still treating me like a kid…”
Coming back to life after being petrified, Yuki finally relaxed when he heard that his mother was only stopping by briefly.
There was still a loli in the house right now. If she got discovered, things would definitely blow up. His dad had helped cover this up for so long, and if it got exposed, he’d get dragged into it too.
“It’s fine. My mom looks down on me too. She even said if I manage to win Eiya over, she’ll start preparing the wedding house and everything…”
“…”
Yuki was speechless. Compared to comforting him, why did this sound more like showing off?
But before the two of them could relax for long, a sharp, furious voice suddenly rang out, instantly shattering the calm in the house and making someone jump straight up.
“Li Yuki! What is going on with this set of clothes in the bathroom?!!!”
