Two weeks later, Takeshi and Tatiana visited Skunk Technologies and were immediately shown into the garage.

「Sorry to keep you waiting! This here’s the new model I had tailored just for you two! Behold, the SAS-A02 Bantam! This baby’s packed to the gills with new ideas!」

「This is…」

Two Silhouettes stood side by side. One faced forward; the other was turned around, showing its back.

Unlike a Worker, they had been refitted with curved armor. Many of the parts were shared with the Crawler as well, especially the arms and legs.

But there was one major difference from existing Silhouettes. This machine had additional armor fitted to its back.

「Additional armor on the back? No… those are thrusters, aren’t they?」

「Good eye! This thing needs fuel! Needing fuel is a downside all by itself, though!」

「What’s wrong with that? Any machine’s bound to need fuel, ain’t it?」

Rare for him, Takeshi cut in.

Cars needed gasoline. Airplanes needed aviation
