Chapter 2429: Chapter 380: Fifth Round (Double Chapter)

The energy has increased so much! Qiao Sang was pleasantly surprised.

You know, last time Tingbao absorbed the Electric Light Dragon Scale, it only increased its energy to the advanced middle stage. Now, judging from these values, it seems to be at the late-stage advanced level.

If it swallows lightning a few more times, couldn’t it directly evolve?

Is the effect of swallowing lightning really that strong?

Various thoughts flashed through Qiao Sang’s mind, and she suddenly realized a problem: she had never let Tingbao swallow true natural lightning before. This seemed to be the first time...

Thinking about it, Qiao Sang instinctively looked down and quickly saw a data point that had clearly changed:

Fifth Attribute: Swallowing Thunder

Level: B (1002/2000)

Qiao Sang: "!!!"

Wow, did the value behind the Swallowing Thunder Attribute really increase so quickly!

Qiao Sang’s heart suddenly beat faster for a moment.

Though she had the Golden Finger, attributes differ from skills; every time a skill is used, its skill level increases by one point. But certain attributes don’t work this way, like the Sense of Suppression that Yaobao and others have. It’s not that releasing a sense of suppression once will increase the points.

Little Treasure Spirit gained followers and evolved, and only then did the level of the sense of suppression notably increase.

Tingbao had swallowed lightning from several Pet Beasts’ performances; only when the number of times it had swallowed reached a certain point would the value behind Swallowing Thunder increase a bit.

Before today, she recalled Tingbao’s Swallowing Thunder value was at 423. Yet in less than a day, it has increased to 1002, a difference of 579. And she’s sure that Tingbao definitely didn’t swallow over 500 bolts of lightning today.

Each time it swallows a bolt of lightning, not only does it increase points, but it increases by a large amount...

It’s unbelievable, why exactly is this happening...

She’s never heard that after swallowing true lightning, a Pet Beast with the Swallowing Thunder trait would see a significant increase in skill level...

Qiao Sang’s mind raced, trying to search for related information, but unfortunately, she couldn’t find anything.

Suddenly, she heard a noise from outside, returned to reality, opened her eyes, and followed the sound.

Mikaela came down from upstairs, noticed her gaze, and asked with a smile: "Hungry? Need me to have Zongte Bear make you a midnight snack?"

"No need, I’ll be going to sleep soon." Qiao Sang replied, suddenly asking: "Teacher, do you think the skill level of the Swallowing Thunder attribute increases for Pet Beasts after they swallow naturally occurring lightning?"

"Some do, some don’t, it depends." Mikaela came downstairs, sat on the sofa, and asked, "What’s up? Do you think the skill level of the Thunder Reversing Dragon’s Swallowing Thunder attribute increased?"

Qiao Sang nodded, speaking calmly: "Though this time Tingbao was digesting lightning and then continued to swallow, the time spent swallowing lightning was unusually long. It’s its first time swallowing naturally occurring lightning, so I’m thinking whether the skill level of the Swallowing Thunder attribute increased during the process, thus extending the swallowing time."𝒇𝒓𝙚𝒆𝔀𝓮𝓫𝒏𝓸𝙫𝓮𝓵.𝓬𝙤𝙢

"Thunder Reversing Dragon isn’t constantly swallowing." Mikaela said, "Doesn’t it digest for a while after swallowing lightning before swallowing again?"

Then he paused, adding, "Generally, the attribute level of a Pet Beast is fixed; it’s hard to improve even without resource considerations. However, some Pet Beasts are exceptions, as they are very compatible with certain attributes. They may naturally possess an S-rank attribute, and even if the compatible attribute is not S-rank, it can rapidly improve through activation."

"This situation is very rare, and it’s all about exceptions. Don’t think too much about it for ordinary Pet Beasts."

Hearing this, Qiao Sang’s eyes brightened, thinking that this was it. Tingbao must be this type!

But she quickly thought of something, calmed down a bit, and asked, "If the Swallowing Thunder Attribute can be improved, does that mean that swallowing naturally occurring lightning would enhance it faster?"

Mikaela smiled, "Of course, Pet Beasts with the Swallowing Thunder attribute usually use it to restore stamina and increase energy through the absorption of naturally occurring lightning, indicating that naturally occurring lightning benefits them greatly, and enhancement is indeed possible."

"I feel that Tingbao is very likely in this situation." Qiao Sang controlled her grin, adopting a serious posture.

The data from the Beast Taming Codex is the best proof.

If that’s truly the case, in the future if she wants Tingbao to quickly improve its energy, just let it swallow naturally occurring lightning. Not only can it rapidly increase energy, but it can also enhance the skill level of the Swallowing Thunder attribute.
