Chapter 2479 - 400: Wukong Dragon

Chapter 2479: Chapter 400: Wukong Dragon

The next day, early morning.

In an uninhabited open space.

In the sky, an incredibly dense thundercloud suddenly appeared, with brilliant yellow electric arcs flickering inside it, like restless and rampant thunder snakes darting around.

Tingbao fearlessly shuttled through the terrifying thunderclouds, with yellow electric arcs appearing on its body.

"Ting Ting!"

It shouted, and countless lightning bolts suddenly converged into a strike from high above.

"Boom!!!"

A loud explosion occurred, creating a pit where it struck, shattering the ground and scattering debris.

"I didn’t expect Tingbao could awaken to Ten Million Volts." Mikaela remarked from a place not affected.

After experiencing the successive evolutions of Yaobao and the series of events, she had come to accept General-level Pet Beasts awakening to Super-level skills quite well.

"Actually, I had thought about it. When Tingbao was struck by 100,000 Volts and Million Volts, it awakened the corresponding skills," Qiao Sang said playfully, "Do you think if Tingbao evolves and gets struck by Billion Volts, could it possibly evolve into Billion Volts?"

Mikaela gave her a glance and chuckled, "First find a Pet Beast that can do Billion Volts."

Qiao Sang immediately fell silent.

Divine skills basically exist only in legends, not even seen in the Interstellar Cup.

"Qingqing?"

At this moment, Qingbao appeared, gazing at Tingbao training in the sky, with a contemplative look, called out, suggesting that if Old Six could awaken skills upon being attacked, should they find some Dragon-type and Electric-type Pet Beasts to attack it?

Upon hearing this, Qiao Sang’s first thought was: Are you a demon?

However, soon, a second thought surfaced in her mind: Tingbao’s situation is indeed a bit special, maybe it’s worth a try, since many Pet Beasts’ hidden talents are explored through practice...

"Steel Authority?"

While thinking, Gangbao’s voice resonated in her mind.𝒇𝒓𝙚𝒆𝔀𝓮𝓫𝒏𝓸𝙫𝓮𝓵.𝓬𝙤𝙢

Are you a demon?

Qiao Sang: "..."

Qiao Sang quickly calmed down, and gravely stated, "Tingbao only has a chance when being attacked during evolution, otherwise attacks usually just cause damage."

Gangbao silently glanced at its Beast Tamer.

Qingbao showed a "makes sense" expression, then, thinking of something, called out:

"Qingqing?"

Should they find some Dragon-type Pet Beasts and Electric-type Pet Beasts to attack it during evolution?

"No way." Qiao Sang had calmed down completely by then: "During evolution, except for necessary attacks according to the evolution pathway, no other attacks should interfere, otherwise it might affect evolution."

Gangbao saw its Beast Tamer had returned to her senses, and looked away.

"Qingqing."

Qingbao showed a "makes sense" expression, called out, and then vanished as it transformed into the wind.

In a place invisible to its Beast Tamer, Qingbao’s expression turned to disappointment.

It would have liked to see if Old Six could awaken the skills of those attacking it, but unfortunately its Beast Tamer didn’t agree.

What a pity, what a pity... Listening to the wind beside her ears, Qiao Sang fell silent.

In the sky, Tingbao twisted its body and flew straight down, landing beside Little Treasure Spirit, calling out:

"Ting Ting."

"Xun Xun~"

Little Treasure Spirit stopped brushing teeth, handed the toothbrush to the substitute beside it, took off the ring, retrieved the Energy Recovery Potion, and handed it over.

Tingbao took it with its tail, gulped it down, and without delay, flew back into the thunderclouds in the sky.

Mikaela watched this and said:

"Tingbao is more diligent than before."

"It also wants to win in the competition." Qiao Sang laughed.

Mikaela was about to speak when suddenly, the phone vibrated. She took a look and decided to answer:

"Hello... You said... Wukong Dragon?"

Mikaela’s expression showed clear astonishment.

Wukong Dragon? Isn’t that a Dragon-type Pet Beast only found in the Zhongkong Region of Blue Star Dragon Country, and she remembered this species was already completely extinct! Qiao Sang’s heart skipped a beat, realizing whose call it was, quickly raised her ear and leaned towards Teacher Mikaela’s direction.

However, the specialized phone from the Imperial Beastmaster Academy was truly strong, she couldn’t hear a sound from the other end.

"...Alright, I understand." Approximately a minute later, Mikaela hung up the phone.

"Was it Teacher Jaclyn calling?" Qiao Sang directly asked.

"Yes." Mikaela glanced at Tingbao in the sky, her expression complicated, and said, "I informed the principal, and the school expedited the genetic detection for Tingbao’s lineage, Jaclyn said that the other half of Tingbao’s lineage comes from..."

She paused before continuing:

"Wukong Dragon."

"How could it be Wukong Dragon?" Even though she heard those three words earlier, Qiao Sang couldn’t help but doubt, "Is it possible the detection result was wrong?"

Wukong Dragon, an Ancient Dragon Beast Pet in the Zhongkong Region of Blue Star Dragon Country, already confirmed completely extinct.

Honestly, she had thought about Tingbao’s other half of the lineage coming from Ancient Pet Beasts since Tingbao awakened the Trait Ancient Dragon Body, but she always assumed it was at least a species revived from a fossil, never considering it would be from a species never revived and confirmed extinct.

Could it be that the Wukong Dragons were indeed revived, but it remained a secret, so no official news was released?

"The detection results have a 99% probability of accuracy, no mistake." Mikaela said.

"But wasn’t Wukong Dragon completely extinct? How did they conduct lineage detection?" Qiao Sang couldn’t help but ask.

"I’m not exactly sure." Mikaela pondered and replied, "However, I have heard that our school’s research institute studies species lineage, collaborating with the Beast Taming Alliance, mastering the genes of nearly all Pet Beasts on the planet. It’s likely the Alliance provided relevant data."

It seems the detection results were quite reliable... Qiao Sang instantly believed most of it.

With the Beast Taming Center’s enormous capability, it really was possible to obtain the genes of extinct species, and even if they hadn’t previously stored it, pet beasts like Time Plate could travel to ancient times to encounter extinct species.

"How could it be Wukong Dragon..." Thinking about this, Qiao Sang still found it somewhat unbelievable.

"I didn’t expect it either." Mikaela spoke solemnly, "But the detection result is never wrong, so it seems a Wukong Dragon is now alive on Blue Star."

The Wukong Dragon, a Dragon-type Pet Beast with a level cap at Venerable Level, reportedly was among the closest Dragon species to Divine Level, proud by nature, looking down on all, extremely challenging in producing offspring. Later on, whether due to lacking offspring or some other reason, they were never seen again.

Mikaela’s expression was grave: "If Tingbao has the lineage of Wukong Dragon, then getting Tingbao’s Pet Beast Egg back then might have been a conspiracy."
