Chapter 1641

Chapter 626 Xia Bao’s Weakness (Part 2)

In the dim, dense forest.

“Xiaxia!”

Xia Bao, in battle form, cried out, and countless purple powders rapidly dispersed from its body.

The purple powder spread.

Not far away, two spherical ghost-type pets, mostly gray in color, inhaled the powder, foaming at the mouth, and almost simultaneously collapsed unconscious.

“Xiaxia…”

Xia Bao breathed a sigh of relief upon seeing this.

Qiao Sang beside it gave guidance: “Don’t shout about everything you do in battle, especially when you’re attacking. If you shout when you use a skill, your opponent can easily predict your next attack.”

“Ya Ya.”

Ya Bao nodded in agreement beside it.

“Xiaxia.”

Hearing its Beastmaster’s words, Xia Bao obediently nodded and called out, indicating that it understood.

Just as it nodded, a ghost-type pet, seemingly composed of gas and mostly dark green in color, stealthily appeared behind Xia Bao, revealing a sinister smile.

At the same time, three ghostly green flames appeared around it.

Ya Bao couldn’t see the invisible ghost-type pet, but it clearly saw the three will-o’-the-wisps and sensed the energy. Instinctively, it opened its mouth, about to circulate its energy.

But just then, Qiao Sang said,

“Behind you.”

Ya Bao immediately understood that its Beastmaster was training Xia Bao, and stopped circulating its energy, closing its mouth.

“Xia Xia!”

Xia Bao shuddered, quickly turning around and opening its mouth, instantly spraying a stream of purple venom towards the three will-o’-the-wisps.

The invisible ghost-type pet swiftly flew upwards, dodging the attack, and revealed itself.

“Wan Wan.”

The ghost-type pet, mostly dark green, gave Xia Bao a sinister smile, while the three will-o’-the-wisps around it attacked simultaneously.

Just as the three will-o’-the-wisps were about to strike, Xia Bao teleported away, appearing behind it and shouting,

“Xia Xia!”

The ghost-type pet, mostly dark green, was startled by the sound and quickly floated away.

However, it was too late; countless brown powders scattered from the flower bud on Xia Bao’s neck.

The ghost-type pet, mostly dark green, couldn’t dodge in time and inhaled the powder the moment it floated away, its body instantly paralyzed.

“Slash!” Qiao Sang shouted, seizing the opportunity.

“Xia Xia!”

Xia Bao cried out, then raised its paw, instantly conjuring a blade formed from blue water, and slashed forward with force.

“Wan Wan!”

The ghost-type pet, mostly dark green, screamed and flew backward, collapsing unconscious.

“Xia Xia…”

Xia Bao breathed a sigh of relief upon seeing its opponent fall, then exclaimed with a sigh, indicating how dangerous the secret realm was.

As a pet of Yan Tian Star, and also a phantom beast, it had always been protected. Even when it sneaked out for a while, it had never encountered such repeated ambushes.

“The secret realm is like this,” Qiao Sang smiled, “but there are many other secret realms on Blue Star with beautiful scenery, perfect for sightseeing. I’ll take you to see them sometime.”

“Xia Xia,”

Xia Bao smiled sweetly.

“But right now, we still need to focus on training,” Qiao Sang changed the subject.

“Xiaxia.”

Xia Bao’s expression turned serious. It nodded and called out, indicating that it understood.

“Did you realize there was something wrong with you just now?” Qiao Sang asked.

“Xiaxia…”

Xia Bao was taken aback at first, then looked thoughtful, and finally shook its head.

Qiao Sang sighed,

“You cried out again when you used your skill, which is like reminding your opponent that you’re going to attack. Look, just now, when you teleported behind the opponent, this ghost-type pet didn’t even notice, but as soon as you cried out, it realized the danger and your location and prepared to leave. If it had moved a little faster, it wouldn’t have inhaled the paralyzing powder, and the battle wouldn’t have ended so quickly.” “

Xia Xia…”

The flower bud on Xia Bao’s neck drooped and cried out, indicating that it had forgotten…

Speaking of which, when Xia Bao fought against mechanical-type pets on Yan Tian Star, it didn’t cry out every time it used a skill like this… Qiao Sang realized something and comforted it,

“It’s okay, you just don’t have enough combat experience, plus the environment is the reason. It will be fine once it gets used to the environment and combat.”

Xia Bao is probably more afraid of gloomy environments, and it will be more tense in such environments. I remember when we first entered this secret realm, it was scared and hid in my arms.

This situation requires more training; it’s best to overcome it and become bolder. Otherwise, it’s a weakness, and opponents will specifically summon ghost-type pets to fight Xia Bao, creating a terrifying atmosphere.

Qiao Sang gathered her thoughts and continued to comfort her:

“Ya Bao was scared too, and it trained like this.”

Ya Bao: “???”

Ya Bao looked puzzled.

Did it?

Xia Bao looked at Ya Bao, its expression saying “Really?”

“Ya Ya…”

Ya Bao noticed the gaze, paused for two seconds, and nodded, indicating that its Beastmaster was right.

Since its Beastmaster said so, it must have been scared back then…

Ya Bao was a little uncertain, but felt that its Beastmaster couldn’t be wrong.

“Xia Xia.”

So Ya Bao was like this before… Xia Bao felt inexplicably relieved, then showed a determined expression and called out, indicating that it would definitely overcome it too.

“I believe you,” Qiao Sang smiled.

The words had barely left her lips when the branches and leaves of the surrounding black trees suddenly seemed to come alive, twisting and shooting out rapidly like countless black tentacles, wrapping around her.

“Bang!”

“Boom!”

“Bang!”

“Thud!”

“Xiaxia!”

“Songsong!”

“Bang!”

“Screech!”

“…”

After about ten minutes, the commotion completely subsided.

Qiao Sang looked at the five Ghost-type pets lying on the ground and smiled, “Not bad, you’ve improved a lot. You didn’t even bark much when you attacked just now.”

“Xia Xia…”

Xia Bao called out weakly, indicating that there were too many opponents and the attacks were too fast, and it felt like it didn’t even have time to bark…

Qiao Sang: “…”

So that’s how it is… Qiao Sang maintained her smile and said,

“You’ve improved a lot too. These five Ghost-type pets are all the same level as you, but you still managed to defeat them all.”

“Xia Xia.”

Upon hearing this, Xia Bao showed a happy expression, and the flower bud on its neck swayed.

However, the next second, its body also swayed, and it could no longer maintain its battle form. A faint green light emanated from its body.

In the green light, its size changed, slowly shrinking.

When the green light disappeared, Xia Bao had already returned to its normal form.

It seems Xia Bao is too weak to maintain its battle form… Qiao Sang, seeing this, wasn’t surprised and said,

“Let it rest for a bit.”

Xia Bao’s battle form can’t be maintained at its own will. If its energy is too low or it’s too weak, it will become uncontrollable and revert to its normal form.

“Xia Xia…”

Xia Bao nodded weakly.

Just as it nodded, a dense green light suddenly shone on its body, and at the same time, specks of green starlight appeared around it.

The green light and starlight looked exceptionally dreamlike and beautiful in the dark, gloomy forest.

Like withered trees coming back to life… Qiao Sang thought that Xia Bao would recover soon. After drinking a bottle of energy recovery fluid, it should be able to transform into its battle form and continue fighting.

Thinking this, she put down her backpack and took out a bottle of energy recovery fluid.

But just then, a loud “bang” came from afar.

Qiao Sang looked in the direction of the sound and saw a terrifying shockwave.

“Xia Xia!”

Xia Bao jolted, and the green light on its body vanished.

What? Could external noise really interrupt the recovery of “Rejuvenation of Withered Trees”? Ignoring the shockwave, Qiao Sang instantly focused her attention back on Xia Bao, quickly asking,

“Have you recovered?”

If sound could interrupt “Rejuvenation of Withered Trees,” it would be a weakness later.

At this moment, the terrifying explosion in the distance had disappeared. Xia Bao calmed her startled state, sensed her surroundings, and called out,

“Xia Xia.” She had

only recovered a little.

It had indeed been interrupted; she hadn’t fully recovered… Qiao Sang sighed inwardly, handing over the energy recovery liquid, saying,

“Let’s recover our energy first.”

“Xia Xia.”

Xia Bao’s eyes crinkled as she took the energy recovery liquid and drank it in large gulps.

The slow recovery of “Rejuvenation of Withered Trees” was not only due to the interruption but also related to the environment. She remembered that in a sunny, lush natural environment, the effects of “Rejuvenation of Withered Trees” should be faster… Qiao Sang watched Xia Bao drinking the energy recovery liquid, subconsciously pondering.

“Boom!”

Just as she was thinking, another loud explosion rang out in the distance.

Immediately afterward, a scream rang out:

“Mianmian!”

“Xiaxia!”

Xia Bao was startled and instinctively threw herself into her Beastmaster’s arms.

The bottle fell, spilling the remaining energy recovery liquid all over the ground.

Qiao Sang reached out and caught it.

“Ya Ya!”

Ya Bao looked at the shockwave in the distance, somewhat excited, and called out, indicating that there must be a battle going on there, let’s go take a look!

Well, anyway, Xia Bao’s condition hasn’t fully recovered yet, and it can’t transform into battle form to continue fighting and accumulating points… Qiao Sang held Xia Bao and said,

“Watch from a distance, don’t get too close, so you don’t get caught in the blast.”

“Ya Ya…”

Ya Bao nodded somewhat reluctantly.

But soon, it became excited again and called out to its Beastmaster:

“Ya Ya!

Let’s go now! “

“Okay.” After Qiao Sang finished speaking, she held Xia Bao in one arm and picked up Ya Bao in the other.

The next second, Ya Bao, along with its Beastmaster and Xia Bao, teleported away.

The dense forest had no enclosed spaces, and Ya Bao’s teleportation was unimpeded.

Soon, it stopped in a devastated, black forest.

The battle had stopped? Qiao Sang squinted, observing the scene within the forest.

In the distance, a ghost-type pet, about forty meters tall and entirely black, stood with its two claws clenched and raised high.

Qiao Sang was startled.

Wasn’t that the Black Nightmare that Penjami had just thrown away?

What was that?

Suddenly, she caught a glimpse of something and looked closer.

It seemed to be a person and a pet…

Qiao Sang stared at the Black Nightmare’s clenched claws.

Through the gaps in the claws, she could see a person’s legs and a pet wearing a white mask.

“It really is a person and a pet…” Qiao Sang said in a deep voice,

“Ya Bao, rescue the person and pet from Black Ruins Nightmare’s grasp.”

Ya Bao didn’t know who Black Ruins Nightmare was, but it knew its Beastmaster was referring to the pet in the distance, so it excitedly shouted,

“Ya Ya!”

Then it teleported away and appeared above Black Ruins Nightmare, pressing the miniature shrinking bracelet, its size rapidly increasing at a visible speed.

Black Ruins Nightmare noticed the movement, raised its head, revealing a face full of anger.

However, when it saw Ya Bao’s growing appearance, it seemed to realize something, its expression instantly freezing, and it screamed in terror,

“Hei Hei!”

Then it quickly disappeared into the ground like a shadow.

Qiao Sang: “???”

Ya Bao: “???”

The two, one human and one beast, fell from the sky.

A gust of wind caught them and gently placed them on the ground.

Qiao Sang walked over and dissipated the wind’s power.

“Ya Ya?”

Ya Bao, now much larger, cried out in mid-air, looking completely bewildered, indicating that the creature had left. It hadn’t done anything yet.

“That was the Black Ruins Nightmare that Teacher Michaela chased away,” Qiao Sang guessed. “It probably recognized you, so it ran away.”

After saying that, she sensed the energy on the ground and, seeing that she didn’t feel anything particularly cold, knew that the Black Ruins Nightmare had disappeared.

“Ya Ya…”

Ya Bao looked disappointed upon hearing this, then slowly shrank in size, letting out a cry, indicating that it wasn’t her who had beaten it up, so why did it run away…

“It recognized you, so it probably thought Mei Mei was nearby too,” Qiao Sang said, bending down to observe the person and beast lying on the ground.

Thankfully, they’re alive…

Qiao Sang breathed a sigh of relief and said,

“Xia Bao, heal them.”

“Xia Xia.”

Xia Bao jumped from her beast tamer’s arms to the ground and went to the unconscious people and pets, shaking the flower bud on her neck.

A sweet fragrance immediately wafted out.

Masked Ghost? Isn’t that a pet from Super Star…? Qiao Sang’s gaze fell on the pet wearing the white mask, and related information surfaced in her mind.

Masked Ghost, a Super Star Emperor-level Ghost-type pet. It is said that beneath the mask lies a face that can drive Ghost-type pets mad. The mask also has the function of concealing one’s aura and hiding the entire body within it. If you see a white mask on Super Star, be careful not to pick it up, as it is very likely a Masked Ghost.

If you accidentally wear it as a real mask, your yin energy will increase, attracting Ghost-type pets to approach. Moreover, when wearing the mask, you can also see those invisible Ghost-type pets.

Is this a Super Star person? After the data appeared, Qiao Sang’s gaze fell on the black-haired man beside her, who looked to be in his thirties.

The Interstellar Beast Taming Championship was coming up soon, and quite a few aliens had come to the Zhitia region. This man wasn’t a contestant; he was here to watch the competition, or perhaps he was a member of one of the participating factions…

Just as she was thinking this, the man on the ground slowly opened his eyes.
