Chapter 52

XIAN'S POV

*FLASHBACK*

When I heard what happened in the Border. I was devastated. I was crying so bad and didn't know what to do. I was still in a state of punishment by Mother. I can't get out in the temple.

May nakakabit na kadena sa paa ko at Gãrtx sa kamay ko.

"Brianna...My child" iyak kong sabi. I heard the door opened and saw my mother.

"Xian" lungkot niyang sabi. I immediately walk towards her and kneel infront of her.

"M-mom... Si Brianna" I said anf touch her feet.

"I heard what happened to her. I'm sorry Son. We didn't expect this would happen" sabi niya at lumuhod.

"Is still there a way? Please... I beg you" I said. He carresed my cheeks and wipe my tears.

"May alam akong paraan" sabi niya na ikinatigil ko. I hold her hand tightly.

"Save her mom. I'll do anything you want me to do. Just please... Save Brianna" pagmamakaawa ko.

"It's a against the taboo, Son. It will led you to death. The Empire will punish whoever attempts take someone to another world. I don't want you to die Xian. Let's accept the fact that she's de---"

"SHE'S BEARING A CHILD!" sigaw kong sabi na ikinatigil niya.

"W-what?" di makapaniwalang sabi niya.

"S-she's bearing my c-child. I don't care if they'll kill me. Just...

just let me revive both of them. Kahit hindi ko sila kasama basta alam kong buhay sila" I said and bowed.

I can't accept the fact that she's dead. I can't... Hindi ko kaya.

"Tumayo ka" Mom said and hold my hand.

"M-mom--" she immediately stop me and smiled.

"I'll help you. We need to hurry up. The time is running out" sabi niya at tinanggal ang kadena sa paa ko.

We immediately headed to a place were no one could see us. She draw a magic circle using a blood in her hand.

"Tell me how to do it" sabi ko pero agad niya pinigilan.

"I'm the who's going to do it" sabi niya na ikinataka ko.

"No! I can't stand seeing you die Mom. Let me do it. This is my judgement" sabi ko pero umiling ito.

"I can't also stand seeing you die in the hands of the Empire. Hindi ako naging magandang Ina para sayo. Kahit ito lang ang magandang magawa ko na ikakasaya mo. Your Father will definitely be mad but I know he will realize it someday" sabi niya at naglakad papasok sa magic circle.

"I can make sure Brianna will survive but I don't have high hopes for your child" sabi niya na ikinatigil ko.

"But, I'll do my best to make it survive" she said and started chanting. I close my eyes and started praying.

I was relieved when they both survive but weeks have passed. My Mother was taken to the Empire and killed.

I cried so bad when I saw her killed infront of us.  Father was devastated about mom but I Mom didn't regret what she did. I even saw her last smile and a sword pierce to her chest. Father blamed all what happened to Mom and I just remained silent. I just listen to what my Mother said.

Years have passed I can only see her in a piece of marble. The truth is the Bougenvilla family help her. The son of the Bougenvilla family made her his wife until the child was born.

I can see her tummy is getting bigger and bigger. Sitting on my chair and watching her carressing her tummy while singing a lullaby is painful. I know that Bougenvilla man is slowly falling for her but I can't do anything about it.

All I can do is watch her and asking forgiveness infront of a marble. When the time she gave birth. I was the happiest man in the world. She gave birth to our daughter. A beautiful daughter of mine...

"Anong pangalan niya?" Rinig kong sabi ng matanda.

"Eleena" we said in unison. We talk about this before. If we would have a daughter. We'll name her Eleena. But, I didn't expect what would happen. She died while giving birth. I didn't have enough time to save her that's why I promise myself to look for our daughter.

Everything was like back to normal but when the time passed my daughter grow up. They started to hit her and blame all what happened to their family.

When I saw her hit by that vehicle. My heart suddenly stop for a moment. Seeing her bones have been crushed due to the impact. I knew she will die in a few minutes and I immediately make a move. Buti nalang at umabot ako. I made her the prophecy of the Empire. I'm glad I made it in time and she's alive.

My daughter Eleena...

*END FLASHBACK*

"No one would wonder. The prize for breaking the taboo is your cursed daughter" sabi ni Amadues na ikinaseryoso ko.

"The Golden Tree keepers is a sacred family. You can't have a relationship when you were given a blessing of the next holder of temple.  Hindi na ako magtataka kung anak mo siya. She's a curse caster. Kinatatakutan ng lahat. Takot silang magrebelde ang isang Curce Caster. Even the Empire. It would led to an end" ngising sabi niya at tinignan ang anak ko.

"Seemed suprise? Good thing na nalaman mo bago ka mamatay" sabi niya at tumawa. I look at her and tears started to fall on her cheeks. Tumingin naman siya sakin at ngumiti nalang ako ng mapakla.

"I'm sorry" I mouthed. I need to get her to Caspian immediately.

"You knew about this ritual right? Malapit lang si Eleena sayo. You can see her again by using that woman" sabi niya.

"You're right. I can do that whenever I want to pero alam kong masaya na siya kung nasaan siya ngayon. She is my daughter. It's my responsibility to protect her. I can't sacrifice my daughters life just to see her. She already done her part. Now it's my turn" seryoso kong sabi at tinignin ang familiar ni Leo.

"Sebal, attack him" utos ko sa familiar ni Leo at agad itong tinalunan si Amadues. I grab my daughter's hand tightly and run.

ELEENA'S POV

Xian grab my hand tightly and run. Di ako makapaniwala sa lahat ng narinig ko. He's is my father. I longed for a father and didn't even realize that he's already by my side. Saving my life and taking care of me.

A father's love...Matagal na palang binigay sakin ang pagmamahal na yun.

Agad kong pinunasan ang luha ko at umiling. I need to focus this problem first. After this, I'll ask him everything.

Nagtaka ako ng bigla siyang huminto at napahawak sa bibig niya. Nagukat ako sa nakita.

He's coughing blood...

"X-xian"

He look at me and patted my head.

"Don't worry. Malayo to sa bituka. I need to take you to Caspian. You need to run fast now. Susunod ako para bantayan ka" he said and push me. Agad akong umiling at hinawakan ang kamay niya.

"No! I won't leave you here" sabi ko at hinawakan ang kamay niya at tumakbo.

I heard Sebal's scream from a distance. Ilang sigundo ay narating na namin ang harap ng palasyo. I immediately saw Caspian fighting with someone.

"Xian, We're he---"

"ELEENA!"

Agad akong lumingon kay Xian at nagulat sa nakita.

No...

"X-xian" utal kong sabi.

Why... Why didn't I realize that Amadues is already behind us?

Blood is dripping all over the ground. I can't move an inch. All I can see is my father...

Was stab by a sword on his chest.
