Chapter 55

LEO’S POV

“Felix!” tawag ko at agad pinuntuhan silang dalawa. Nakita kong dalawa silang napabagsak sa lupa.

“Zane” tawag ko at agad siyang sumunod. I immediately check Caspian at andami niyang sugat sa katawan.

Sh*t!

 

I saw the debris of the palace started falling. I carried Caspian and Zane carried Eleena. He’s loosing too much blood. They need both an immediate care. Agad kaming lumayo sa palasyo at isinakay si Caspian kay Sebal.

“We need to go now” sabi ko at sumakay. Tumango naman si Alejandro at pinasan si Xian at isinakay sa familiar niya.

“Where are the others?” sabi ko at hinanap sila. Nakuha agad ang atensyon ko nina Felisha at Meraki. They’re trying to drag Roselia away from the palace.

“F*ck! Stay away from the palace! It’s collapsing!” sigaw ko sakanila.

MERAKI’S POV

“Come with us Roselia! You’re going to die here!” sigaw ko sakanya at hinila ang kamay niya. Napatugil ako ng bigla niyang tinabig ang kamay ko.

“Leave me here. I’m not going anywhere” walang emosyon niyang sabi at niyakap ang katawan ni Troy.

I gritted my teeth and grab her collar.

“Do you want to die?! Huh! We’re saving your f*cking life Roselia!” sigaw ko sakanya.

“We have to go! Hindi pwedeng magsaya---”  napatigil si Kuya sa pagsalita at napatingin sa harap namin.

Sh*t!

“Meraki!” sigaw ni Allen at agad akong binuhat at tumakbo papalayo.

“No! Si Roselia!” sabi ko at nagpumilagas.

“She’s dead, Meraki. It’s not our fault she died. She decided to stay there. It’s her decision. You should have at least thank me that I save you” simangot niyang sabi at binaba ako.

Tsk! Why does he even need to make that face?!

 

“Thank you” sabi ko at umiwas ng umiwas ng tingin.

“You don’t need to avert your eyes Meraki. Ganyan na ba talaga ako ka gwapo para iwasan mo ng tingin?” sabi niya at ngumiti. Bwiset! Anong pinagsasabi niya?

“Kabaliktaran sa sinabi mo ang dahilan sa pag iwas ko ng tingin!” singhal ko at inirapan siya.

“Itigil nyo na yan! Kailangan na nating umalis nag aagaw buhay na ang Emperor at si Eleena” sigaw ni kuya na ikinatigil ko.

ZANE’S POV

“I’m sorry” I wispered while carressing her hair. We’re already heading to the Imperial Palace. All of us don’t have enough mana to create a portal.

This is all my fault. I should have accept the fact that she’s not for me. Nabulag na ako sa pagmamahal na ikinapahamak niya.

Nilingon ko si Alejandro na hawak-hawak si Xian. A lot of people died because of this stupid mistake!

Minutes have passed we crossed the border. I saw the demons withrawed. Ang nakikita ko ngayon ay parehong-pareho sa nangyari noon.

“Zane, How’s Eleena?” tanong ni Leo. Napatingin ako kay Eleena at napailing. Bumuntong hininga naman siya at tinignan si Caspian.

*Cough!* *Cough!*

“Eleena!” Gulat ko at agad sinuri siya. I notice Leo immediately came and check her.

“Z-zane” utal niyang sabi at nilibot ang paningin.

“W-where are w-we?” tanong niya.

“Thank Goodness! We’re heading to the Empire. We’ll save you” I said and carresed her cheek.

"Si C-caspian" hinang sabi niya. Napatingin naman ako kay Caspian na wala paring malay.

"He's with us Eleena. Don't worry we'll save both of you" I assured her. She's starting to cough again and suprised to what I saw.

"E-eleena" utal kong sabi at napangiti naman siya ng mapakla.

"I d-don't think s-so, Zane" bulong niyang sabi at napapikit.

Her wounds started to bleed out. She's loosing too much blood and getting paler and weaker...

"Leo..." Tawag ko at nilingon siya.

"I know..." Seryosong sabi niya.

"I-i deserve to die, Zane" rinig kong sabi ni Eleena na ikinatigil ko.

"What are you talking about? Don't think like that Eleena. You're not going to die" sabi ko at hinawakan ang pisngi niya. Tears started to fall on her cheeks.

"P-please, Save Caspian f-for me" utal niyang sabi at pinikit ang mata niya.

"Eleena?" Tawag ko pero di siya sumagot. I started to panic and immediately check her. Napaginhawa naman ako ng humihinga pa siya.

She just passed out.

LEO'S POV

Minutes have passed we've arrive at the Capital of Fire Kingdom. We immediately headed to the public portal.

Tinignan ko si Caspian. He's still breathing pero wala parin siyang malay. I tried to stop the bleeding but it didn't work. I didn't know what to do.

What if they both die?

"Leo"

What will happen to Zemira?

"Leo"

The Tree?

"Leo!"

Nabalik alo sa riyalidad at napalingon sa Alejandro.

"Don't space out. Everything will be alright" savi niya at tumingin sa harap namin. Natanaw ko agad ang Imperial Palace.

Sebal landed and I immediately got off and run towards the Palace. Napansin ko agad si Captain Sebas papalapit samin.

"Your Majesty!" Gulat niya habang nakatingin kay Felix.

"CALL THE IMPERIAL DOCTORS AND THE TOWER MAGES NOW!" sigaw ko at agad siyang sumunod. The knights opened the door and we headed to Felix's Room.

Lahat sila nagulat sa estado namin. Blood is all over our clothes and the situation of Eleena and Felix.

I kick the door and lay  Felix on his bed. Inilagay naman ni Zane si Eleena sa tabi ni Felix.

"Duke Castedras"

Napalingon ako sa pintuan ng nagsidatingan na ang nga doctor at mages. They immediately approach both of them.

"Do something about this! Immediately" diin kong sabi. Tumango naman ito at agad nilapitan sila.

Nilingon ko si Alejandro na dahan-dahang inilagay si Xian sa Sofa.

I've heard a lot about him. My father know something about him from the past but decided not to tell me. All my father told me that he suffered too much.

Di ko alam kung anong klase ang dinanas niya pero karapat-dapat rin niya na magpahinga.

I felt sad and guilty from his sudden death but we can't do anything about it. I'm sure he didn't regret it.

"Duke Castedras" tawag sakin ng mage. Agad naman akong lumapit at tinignan ang dalawa.

"How is it" seryosong sabi ko.

"We can't save both of them" sabi niya na ikinatigil ko.

"What?" Sabi ko at hinarap siya.

No! This can't be! No one should die! No one!

Mukhang natakot siya sa reaksyon ko at napaiwas agad ng tingin.

"Tell me why you can't!" Sigaw ko sakanya.

"Only Lady Eleena accepts it. His Majesty can't" sabi niya at napatingin kay Felix. This happened before just like the potion.

"Do something else that would work on him!" Diin kong sabi. I grab his collar and pull him closer to me.

"We can't let the Emperor die! I'll throw you in the dungeon if you can't save him. Remember that" seryosong sabi ko at binitawan siya.

"Wala na kaming ibang paraan. Si Lady Eleena lang ang kaya naming isalba" sabi ng mage.

"How about the Winter Tree?" Tanong ko. The winter fairies can definitely help Felix!

"We can't"

Napalingon naman ako kay Zane.

"Why? You're the King of Winter Kingdom. You can communicate to them right?" Tanong ko pero umiling siya.

"I can't. Only the Fairy Queen can do it. The only thing we could do right now is choose" sabi niya. F*ck! What should we do?

Zane patted my shoulder

"Eleena told me to save Caspian but I guess Eleena will be the one who'll survive" sabi niya na ikinaseryoso ko.

"What the f*ck did you say?!" Galit kong sabi at kwinelyuhan siya.

"We can't do anything about it Leo. Why can't you just accept the fact that he's going to die? If only I could to talk to those fairies, we can save his life" seryosong sabi niya na ikinabitaw ko.

"If Eleena wants the Emperor to be alive. He would also think just like Eleena. We also need Eleena bring back the barrier" kalmang sabi niya na ikinataka ko.

"What do you mean?" Takang sabi ko.

"We lost him Leo. When Eleena began to lose all of her control. We nearly killed him but we're still not sure of he'll survive" sabi ni Allen. I took a glance of Xian laying on the sofa.

If only you were alive...

One of the mages were checking Caspian while the rest of them is taking care of Eleena.

Napatingin kami sa pintuan nang bigla itong bumukas. It was Kiel...

"Kamusta sila?" Alalang sabi niya at lumapit sakin. Napaiwas nalang ako ng tingin.

"Answer me, Leo. Kamusta sila?" Sabi niya at nilapitan silang dalawa.

"I'm sorry, Kiel...

We can't save them b-both" I said in defeat. Nakita kong nagulat siya sa sinabi ko pero agad din itong napalitan ng mapaklang ngiti.

"We tried to find a way to---" napatigil naman ako ng bigla siyang nagsalita.

"It's okay. I understand. I'm sure Caspian would be happy with this" sabi niya at tinignan si Felix.  

Why does it have to go through this?!

Naagaw ang atensyon ko sa kamay nila ng may kuminang.

The ring and their bracelets...

I remembered Felix used to stare on that bracelet all day with a smile in his face. I've never seen Felix smiled in front of other people. He only smiles for Eleena...

"I-im sorry" I uttered and wiped my tears. Tinapik naman ni Alejandro ang balikat ko at may inabot na sulat.

"It came from the Academy. Your brother said it's important" walang emosyon niyang sabi.

AMADUES POV

Pinilit kong i hakbang ang mga paa ko dahan-dahan at paulit-ulit. I don't think I could survive...

Puno ng sugat ang buong katawan ko. Tanging espada lang ni Brianna ako kumukuha ng suporta. I'm heading to her grave.

Ilang minuto ang nakalipas natanaw ko ang burol niya. Napangiti nalang ako ng mapakla. Dahan-dahan akong umupo sa tabi ng burol at hinawakan ang lupa.

"I-i'm here a-again" I uttered while gently carressing her grave.

"I-i m-miss y-you" I said and put the sword above her grave. I can feel my mana is slowly fading.

"I'm g-giving it back t-to you" I said and lean on the tree.

I failed... My mission failed. I couldn't see her with these memories.

"I-i just want t-to see you a-again, Brianna. Before I die..." Hinang sabi ko.

"I'-ive always dream of h-having a family with y-you, b-but I guess f-fate doesn't want u-us to be t-together" sabi ko at napangiti ng mapakla.

"I-i'f I'll be given a chance to have another life... Will I met you there? Will I be your man? Will fate brought us again?" Sabi ko at napangiti sa naisip.

I look at her grave.

"T-that would be great right? I can l-love you without this b-border. Without this d-disgusting look of m-mine" sabi ko. I'm starting to get cold and my vision is getting blurry.

"I will l-love you a-always and f-forever, Brianna"

ELEENA'S POV

Dahan-dahan kong dinilat ang mga mata ko ng masinagan ito ng araw. Nilibot ko ang paningin at walang tao. I can see a lot of bandages around my body. May benda rin ako sa noo.

I slowly got up and realize I was in my room. I was about to lay down when I suddenly remembered what happened.

"Caspian" I said and got off the bed. I opened the door and head to Caspian's room.

Is he doing okay now?

Pagkarating ko ay agad kong binuksan ang pintuan.

"Caspia---" di na natapos ang sinabi ko sa nakita. All of his things are not here. It all vanish...

Did he change his room? Or...

Napailing agad ako sa naisip. No, he can't be dead. I know he's alive. Baka lumipat siya bg kwarto.

Lumabas agad ako sa kwarto niya at nagtungo sa office niya. He might be working right now.

I shouldn't jump on the conclusion. I'm sure he's alive.

Pinilit ko ang sarili na tumakbo kahit mahina pa ang katawan ko. Minutes have passed I arrive at his office. Binuksan ko ang pintuan at parang gumuho yung mundo ko nang makita ang lamesa niya.

Wala ni kahit isang gamit na nakalagay sa mesa niya. Pati ang sofa sa gilid ay wala narin.

No...

Biglang nagsibagsakan ang mga luha ko.

"Eleena..."

Agad akong napalingon at nakita si Leo. I walk towards him and hold both of his shoulders.

"L-leo, Si C-caspian. Where i-is he?" I sobbed. Nakita kong umiwas siya ng tingin na ikinatigil ko.

No, It can't be right? He promise not to leave me. He promised!!!
