Chapter 5

CASPIAN'S POV

"Felix, they are on their way to the border" Leo said while checking the papers.

Tsk! I should wipe them all.

"What's the report about that woman" sabi ko. Napatingin naman siya sakin.

"You mean Eleena?" Sabi niya. Umiwas naman ako ng tingin. Mukhang nakuha naman niya kaya nagpatuloy siya sa pagsalita.

"There are still no signs of her, Felix. Kung di natin siya makita ay mamatay na ang puno. The time is running out. This is our only chance to keep our country at peace" dugtong niya. I just smirk.

If she doesn't want to take her responsibilities. I'll be the one to take care of it.

"Forget about her, Leo. I'll do it myself" I said and stood up. I want some fresh air.

"What? No! We still have to continue finding her, Felix. She's the solution to all of this!" Sabi niya. Tumigil ako sa paglalakad at nilingon siya.

"I'll be going to the border tommorow. That's final. I don't want to hear your voice anymore" sabi ko at lumabas ng office.

It's been four years since she left the palace. Sa loob ng apat na taon ni kahit anino niya ay di nakita. Talagang tinupad niya yung sinabi niya.

I don't know what am I feeling right now when I remember that woman. There is this feeling that I can't explain. Halo halo, parang mababaliw ako.

Nakalabas na ako ng palasyo. I decided to go in the Golden Tree. I want to check it out.

Papalapit na ako sa Lake ng may narinig akong kakaibang tunog. Someone is singing. I'm sure this is the first time I heard it but why does it feel I heard it before.

Palakas ng palakas ang kanta habang naglalakad patungo doon.

Then I saw a woman standing on the side of the lake. Singing...

I startled when the flowers starts glowing and the tree.

The tree starts to have plenty of leaves and the golden flowers starts blooming.

I take a look closer and it was the woman. She suddenly showed up ang revive the tree. For over Four Years...

Those beautiful black shiny hair. She looks like glowing in the dark.

Napahawak ako sa dibdib ko. My heart is beating faster. But why?

ELEENA'S POV

I stop singing and look at the tree. It came back to it's normal self. Marami na itong mga dahon at may bulakbulak na ito. The flowers on the ground also stop glowing.

Pagkarating ko dito nagulat ako sa sitwasyon ng puno. Parang mamamatay na ito. I look at the direction where the border was.

The barrier must be back now. I hope Zane is fine.

Time to go back.

I was about to summoned Obi when I notice a man standing from afar. I stop when I notice who it was. My heart start to beat faster.

I'd make sure that no one was here! How come he's here?

"Eleena..." He said. For over four years. Ngayon niya lang ulit akong tinawag sa pangalan ko. Napangiti nalang ako ng mapait. Those golden hair ang  jeweled blue eyes. 

The Emperor...or should I say

Caspian.

"Féñyàzä" I coldly said and Obi showed up. He startled when he saw Obi.

I just smiled at him and hop on Obi.

"Then I shall take my leave, Your Majesty" I said and bowed. I didn't show any emotions to him. I want him to see me that I wasn't the same anymore.

Obi started flying and leaving him dumbfounded.

ZANE'S POV

I killed the demons with my ice spikes. Ken is behind my back. A lot of demons have already crossed the border. May ilang demons na nakatakas samin.

Sh*t! This is bad.

If only we have enough knights. Tsk! I didn't have a proper goodbye to Eleena. Alam na kaya niya ang balita?

"Zane, look" sabi ni Ken at may tinuro. Nilingon ko naman iyon at nagulat sa nakita.

The barrier...

it came back.

Nakita ko din ang ibang demons na di na makapasok. The only way it came was...

Eleena tried to revive it in the Imperial palace.

"Everyone! Kill all the remaining demons!  Ang iba sa inyo sundan niyo yung nakatakas. We can't let them kill and destroy the nearby villages" I ordered. Agad din naman silang sumunod.

I'm worried for Eleena but I'm glad she revived it. She save our lives again.

ELEENA'S POV

Nakabalik na ako sa Winter Kingdom. I'm currently waiting for Zane to come home. I'm worried about them.

Umabot ba ako?

Paikot-ikot ako dito sa office niya. Di ako mapakali ilang oras na akong naghihintay sa kanila pero wala parin.

Nakarinig ako ng pagbukas ng pintuan kaya agad kong nilingon iyon. Bumungad naman si Zane na puno ng dugo ang damit.

"Zane! Thank God your okay" I said while hugging him. Niyakap niya naman ako pabalik.

Kumalas naman ako sa yakap at tinignan siya.

"Umabot ba ako?" Tanong ko. Ngumiti naman siya at tumango.

Thank God...

"You made it in time, Eleena. If it wasn't for you we can't stop them" sabi niya. If I had listen to him immediately. This would never happen.

"I'm sorry Zane, I should have listen to you immediately. This would never happen. I've put you in danger again" I said and wiped my tears. He carresed my cheek and look unto my eyes.

"It's not your fault Eleena. So don't cry okay?" He said and smiled.

"You have to take a rest now. It's already midnight. Sana di mo na ako hinintay pa" sabi niya at binaba yung espada niya.

"How can I sleep if your in danger, Zane? You're also precious to me" I said. Napatigil naman siya.

"What kind of precious Eleena?" Sabi niya. He walks closer to me and hold my hand.

"A friend? A bestfriend? or more than that?" Seryosong sabi niya habang nakatingin sa mga mata ko.

I became speechless. Walang lumalabas na boses sa bibig ko.

"I---" napatigil ako ng bigla siyang nagsalita.

"It's okay, Eleena. I know it already. I'm just expecting too much. It's my fault" sabi niya at pumilit na ngumiti.

Napaiwas nalang ako ng tingin. He's my friend and I can't also manage to lose him.

"Matulog ka na. I also have to rest. I still have some job to continue tommorow" sabi niya. Tinawag niya naman si Sir Gregor para dalhin ako sa kwarto ko.

"Goodnight, Eleena. I'll see you tommorow" sabi niya at hinalikan ang noo ko.

*Fast Forward*

LEO'S POV

Nandito parin ako sa Imperial Palace kahit bago lang kaming kasal ni Christina. Hayst! I should have a leave for a week but this sh*t has suddenly happened.

Kasama ko na sana si Chriatina ngayon kung di lang to nangyari. Good thing naiintindihan ako ni Christina. She's the best woman in the world.

Felix told me last night that he saw Eleena. At first I didn't believe him because for over 4 years she hadn't showed up.

But when I saw the Tree came to normal. Dun na ako naniwala. But first we need to fix this wandering demons in the country.

"Ilan silang lahat?" Tanong ni Felix. Ang lalim ng iniisip niya pero ginagawa niya ang lahat para makapag focus sa usapan naming lahat.

We just held a meeting with the knights.

"Approximately 16 of demons have been wandering around. 6 of them has already been killed" I said while looking at my papers.

"Make sure you all immediately kill them before they make a big mess" seryosong sabi ni Caspian.

"Yes, Your Majesty" sabay nilang sabi. Ilang minuto ay nagsilabasan na ang mga kawal. Caspian stood up and look at me. Tinaasan ko naman siya ng kilay.

"She changed a lot" sabi niya na ikinataka ko.

Sino ang tinutukoy niya? Si Roselia the b*tch ba?

"Who?" Taas kilay kong sabi. Kumunot naman ang noo niya. Ahehe... Mukhang nakuha ko na kung sinong tinutukoy niya.

Di niya ako sinagot at lumabas ng meeting hall. Sumunod agad ako sa kanya.

Minsan lang naman ako nagiging bobo eh. Bat parang kakatayin na niya ako?

Bigla siyang tumigil sa paglakad kaya nabangga ako likod niya.

Sh*t!

"What was that?" sabi niya. Ha? Ano daw? Wala naman akong narinig.

"Ang ano?" Sabi ko. Napatigil kaming dalawa ng may biglang yumanig.

Nakita naman namin si Alejandro na tumatakbo papunta samin.

"What was that, Alejandro?" sabi ko.

"There were two demons øxgrèàm in the capital" sabi niya. Øxgréàm, they look like a dragon but a black one with big thorns.

"Let's go" sabi ni Felix at nagmadalibg lumabas ng palasyo.

Pagkalabas namin ay nakita namin agad ang øxgréàm. They were destroying the capital.

"Ready the horses" utos ni Felix. Agad namang umalis si Alejandro. They're massive øxgréàm.

"Should I take them down?" Sabi ko habang nakatingin sa halimaw.

I startled when I notice a massive magic circle appeared in the sky.

"What the f*ck is that?!" Gulat ko pero nagtaka ako ng napangisi lang si Felix.

Is it an another øxgréàm?

Dumating naman ang mages at pumunta sa harap namin. Nakita kong may lumabas sa magic circle...a massive one.

Nagulat ako sa nakita ko.

A phoenix...

Phoenix...

Oh God...

It's a f*cking phoenix!

F*CK! This is bad! Nilingon ko si Felix at ganun din ang reaksyon niya.

"Mages, kill them" I hurriedly said. Phoenix are deadly. We have to kill it immediately.

"No!" Sigaw ni Felix na ikinatigil namin.

What the f*ck is he thinking?! Is he blind? It's a f*cking phoenix!

"Can't you see, Felix? It's a phoenix! We have to kill it immediately!" Galit kong sabi sa kanya. Gusto niya bang maabo ang Zemira Capital?

"I know that creature. So only kill those f*cking øxgréàm" seryoso niyang sabi.
