Chapter 22.2
Chapter 22.2
[Why did you do that?]
‘What?’
[You didn’t have to make such an extreme character into a target character.]
‘First of all, it is an essential element to have distinct characteristics in a creative work, and most importantly, since BL is R-rated, I thought it would be nice to have such a hardcore character…?’
Celina seemed to be astonished. No letters appeared.
‘I mean, that’s why I put in a nice kid with an easygoing personality to balance it!’
I made an excuse for no reason.
[I was expecting that there must be some profound reason for your setting.]
She was dispirited.
‘What? Do I have such skills?’
If I had a head to set up such a thing, I would have had less trouble writing.
“Young Lady.”
Ian called me.
“Hm?”
“When you finish what you are doing, you have to meet with the Lord for a moment.”
“Is that so? Alright.”
Why was he calling me? I didn’t really want to see him. I answered reluctantly.
***
“Celina!”
As I stepped into the hallway after hours of intense letter-writing, a man’s voice echoed loudly. I turned my head towards the sound.
With a bright face, Evan was running in the distance while waving his hands.
“How did you know I was coming out now?”
I laughed.
“Are you really alright now?”
Ignoring the question as he approached me in big strides, he hugged me tightly and said something else. I couldn’t breathe because he didn’t control his strength. I quickly tapped on Evan’s back.
“It hurts!”
“Oh my. Sorry. I was so glad to see you.”
He apologized awkwardly and backed away. Then, he immediately looked unhappy.
“But you. Aren’t you too much? I’ve been here a few times, but I’ve just seen Ian’s face. Do you think I came here to see him?”
“I’m sorry. I was feeling so bad that I didn’t want to see anyone else.”
I made a rough excuse. I didn’t know anyone was coming, Ian probably refused them on his own. I was just curled up in bed in despair, so there was no way I would have noticed that someone else had come.
“Really. The next time I see them, I will kill them.”
“All of a sudden? Who?”
“The ones who kidnapped my beautiful sister and put her in this state.”
Evan touched my cheek lightly.
“Wait a minute. But why could Mikael come here, and I couldn’t? Is that the extent of our relationship?”
“You knew Mikael came here?”
“Yeah, I knew.”
He replied as if scolding me.
“Ahem. Mikael was just… It’s because I don’t see him often.”
“I can’t believe you look so insincere even when lying. I’m really sad.”
He suddenly grumbled while pouting his mouth and pulled a bouquet of flowers from his chest.
“A get-well-soon gift.”
“As expected, there’s no one like you.”
As I spoke, I was pleasantly greeted by a bundle of blue hydrangeas.
“Celina Dell. You know I’m going to let you off with that cuteness just this once.”
“Thank you. I’ll take good care of them. Ah, come to think of it, what about the others or whatever?”
I changed the topic. I was never going to waste my emotions uselessly while I was here. Even things that can be solved well can go wrong if one is too emotional.
The others or whatever. He kept pronouncing those words silently. Then, he smirked to himself.
“What about the others or whatever?”
“The brothers and sisters with the last name Dell.”
“I understood that. Our older brother has been commissioned here and there, so he has been going around, Elizabeth is still living like a princess by herself, and the children went to school earlier.”
“I see. It’s already that time of the year.”
“Yeah, Young Lady. So please don’t scare anyone. And don’t get sick.”
He glared at me.
“I’m all better now. It’s alright. That’s why I came out. Though not of my own will.”
I smiled weakly. He had no idea what had happened to me in the meantime.
“Yeah. Father called you. I heard.”
“Who did you hear that from? Ian had no chance to tell you.”
“I heard it directly from Father, not from your loyal attendant. Perhaps he told me because I complained to him that I have been rejected by you many times.”
Evan swept my hair gently.
“Anyway, go ahead. He’s waiting. I just stopped by to see your face.”
“Yeah. Bye. Thank you for the flowers.”
As I finished saying goodbye to him, the touch that swept my head disappeared. Ian and I were left in the hallway.
“Then, I’ll take you right away.”
He said politely. I nodded. A few seconds later, we arrived at the landing of the stairs that lead to where Elijah was.
