Chapter 25.1

Elijah’s expression was cold.

“That’s enough. Send Celina this way.”

“Hm… I’m really sorry, Master. I don’t want to, either.”

I felt Mikael tighten his grip around my waist.

“Is that so? Then you will have to avoid the next one faster.”

Following the archmage’s graceful gesture, crystals of a color similar to glaciers began to form in the air.

Soon, they turned into a shape that looked like the spear used by knights in horses. Elijah’s eyes shone like ice.

“Maybe this time it will really pierce you.”

“Wow. I look forward to it.”

“Hold on tight”, Mikael whispered in my ear. I hugged his neck tighter, afraid I would fall. I believed in this man’s abilities.

But why the hell were these two acting like this?! I didn’t know why they had to do this in the sky instead of the solid ground.

As soon as the spear made from magic tilted its tip towards me and Mikael, boasting a cold majesty, my body moved up and down as if riding a roller coaster.

The wind blew through my body harshly. I didn’t like the unique feeling of my heart dropping, so I tried to hold my breath as much as possible and lower my face.

As my body was rising again, the sound of something breaking and brushing past us rang loudly from all sides. A chilly air touched the nape of my neck. I raised my head a little. The breath I exhaled turned into steam.

Fragments of ice, reflected in the sunlight and emitting brilliant iridescent light, were beautifully scattered throughout the sky. It was a spectacular sight. It seemed that Mikael had destroyed that magic spear.

“Master, this much won’t make a hole in my body. You’re going too easy on me. I’m disappointed.”

Mikael answered Elijah and made several yellow spheres in the air. An intricate magic circle circled over his palm, causing a menacing spark.

“Then it’s my turn now.”

And we flew up instantly. I took a quick breath. Elijah’s castle looked very small, then filled my vision at once.

It felt like I was randomly adjusting a telescope’s magnification. That was all I could grasp with Celina’s eyes.

Crash―!

Whenever there was an opportunity, the two continued to exchange attacks. As Mikael fought with Elijah and went back and forth without distinction between up and down and left and right, my vision began to spin. There was also a smell similar to something burning coming from somewhere.

As she shifted sharply, something shiny flew away from my body. I only knew after Mikael touched my head that the identity of the object was a pearl hairpin.

“Oops, it fell off. I’m sorry.”

He put the jewelry he had quickly grabbed back into its original place, then moved again.

Zap―!

There was a black spark in the distance, and pink smoke rose from nearby. I saw a peculiar pink leaf right in front of me.

In the blink of an eye, Celina’s elegant purple eyes were reflected in the clear waters of the lake.

And when I came to my senses again, I was in a place where books were displayed everywhere. The bookshelves collapsed, and the sound of the books pouring down was loud.

Right next to it, a fire with a mix of green and red was rising. In the distance, I saw Evan’s surprised face. It seems like he was studying here.

Ah! Seriously! Please put me down and fight!

You annoying brats!

As I bawled inwardly and breathed in, I went up into the sky, piercing through the clouds. The brightness of the sun was caught over the edge of my vision.

I was sure. I was now able to ride any roller coaster in the world as if it was nothing. Nothing could feel more realistic than this.

“Be careful.”

Mikael gently wrapped his hands around the back of my neck and made me bury my face in his neck, as if telling me to stop looking at the rapidly changing landscape. A distinctive sweet aroma penetrated deep into my lungs.

I sniffed without realizing it. I seemed like a pervert for some reason, so I stopped right away.

“Mikael. You have grown even more.”

Elijah’s voice sounded like it was ringing from all sides.

“Of course. Because I’m your disciple.”

Mikael answered refreshingly. What, is it time for a break? I took advantage of the very brief moment of pause to raise my head again. There was a flaw mixed in his flawless profile.

A very tiny scratch.

I pulled the sleeve of my dress to the edge of my hand and carefully brought it to his cheek. The sky-blue eyes turned towards me.

“You got a scratch here. Are you alright?”

“Ah, thank you. I’m fine.”

His eyes folded beautifully.

“But it’s still not enough to protect someone.”

I heard Elijah’s voice right next to me. Mikael flinched and turned around, but of course, his master was much faster.

I moved into Elijah’s arms in the blink of an eye. It was at this moment that all the raucous attacks that had been exchanged between the two of them became futile.
