Chapter 30.2

I took the piece of paper I had and roughly turned it into a fan with a paperweight, then used it to fan my face. The piece of paper Ian handed me just before he went to Elijah had a very thorough description of Celina’s schedule for the month of May.

The most important event was Ingrit’s coming-of-age ceremony, which was only about a week away, but the closest schedule was for the day after tomorrow.

Surprisingly, it was to go on a proper outing, not just come back home after moving by magic to buy some needed stuff. Take a walk through the market, eat some street food, and look around the shops.

I would finally get to see this world properly.

Ian and Mikael seemed to have asked Elijah separately for Celina to go out. However, because I had to be guarded, it was not Ian who was going with me, but Mikael.

Sadly, however, except for the outing, the rest of the schedule was nothing more than trivial social activities. Dealing with Ingrit, who had a genuine affinity for Celina, was already draining enough. Do I really have to meet other nobles?

“Even if it’s you, please save me.”

I sighed softly as I babbled something useless. I gradually realized that I was trapped here. The fact that I was forced to take over what that woman had done until now weighed deeply on my mind.

I didn’t have to worry too much about the conversations covered in fake laughs and pretense, since I had all the information in my head. But having to dance at the festival was worrying. But I couldn’t ask anyone to practice dancing with me.

Obviously, Celina’s body and mind remembered it. But no matter how deeply engraved it was, there was a difference between theory and practice, so trial and error were inevitable. I clearly needed some time for synchronization.

Just like when I hesitated for a moment when I was writing the responses to the letters.

Should I ask Ian just once? But that’s so weird. I thought it was best to ask Mikael, who brought it up first, but I didn’t have an excuse.

It would have been dozens of times better if I had pretended to have lost my memory from the beginning. But that wasn’t the context. Because I didn’t know anything.

The bird, which could not have known the deep and profound concerns of humans, chirped and came up to my left arm. Its claws didn’t hurt a bit.

“Until when are you going to come here? Well, that place is underground, so there’s no sunlight and it really sucks. Birds must fly in the sky.”

I stroked its black chest naturally. The raven did not avoid my touch. It was very soft, perhaps because Zeno took good care of it. To be honest, it was pretty cute.

I stared briefly at Cola, who was napping on Celina’s pillow. I wondered if it was okay for Zeno’s animal to come here when that child was keeping watch so openly like that, but that wasn’t for me to worry about.

“Well, you must be spying on me, but there’s nothing to gain. If your purpose was to gather information, the imperial palace would be better than here. Hey. This is my schedule for this month. Does it make sense?”

I quickly brought the calendar to the crow. Zeno’s bird quickly blinked and stared at the calendar. I didn’t know if it was reading it or not.

“This is how I live. So, stop coming here. He only gave me a bottle and medicine, but in any case, your master helped me that day, so I’ll just send you back this time.”

I slowly stood up and raised my arm out of the window. It was clear that Elijah must have met Zeno that day. What did they talk about? Will we get a chance to meet someday?

If I ask, will he give me an answer?

“I won’t turn a blind eye next time. So go on, quickly.”

The raven flapped its wings like it understood my words, then flew right up into the sky. Soon, a black feather fluttered and fell very slowly. I reflexively reached out and grabbed the feather.

I had been fiddling with it for a while, when all of a sudden, the cat jumped and climbed onto the table.

“Ah, you scared me. When did you wake up?”

I looked alternately between the empty bed and Cola and thought of a brilliant idea. Even a cat sent by Elijah couldn’t resist its instincts.

“Cola, do you want to try catching this?”

I began to shake the feather in front of Cola. I had never raised a cat myself, but I had played with my friend’s cat quite a bit.

But the cat stared at the feather for a moment, with a gaze that seemed like it was the most uninteresting thing in the world, turned around, and gracefully jumped off the table. Her twitching tail as she walked was hateful.

I was engulfed in rejection. Ah, seriously, there’s nothing fun here.
