Clockwork Planet Design File: TemP

Twintails! (Salutory nod)

This time we’re discussing the one on the cover of this volume, TemP.

For RyuZU and AnchoR, their designs sort of just came naturally to me, so I was able to finalize their designs pretty quickly, but for TemP I clearly remember having to redraw her design from scratch multiple times.

Twintailed girls are a real challenge to design, man. (Eyes rolled upward from suffering)

Overall, I decided to give her a gentle and frilly, flowery feel with green as her primary color. As for the gear accessory that all Initial-Y’s have, it’s in the form of a collar for her.

So her code name is Aerial, The Fluttering Butterfly, presumably because she’s a free spirit. Yet she wears a collar. What does it all mean...?!

It might be fun to reread volume four with that in mind!

(...To be honest I have no idea whether it’s significant, I just made that up on the spot to try to sound smart... but just pretend this parenthetical isn’t here.)
