Chapter 510: Make Something New?

Chapter 510: Make Something New?

Ignoring the mental trauma, after the Female Knight showed up there, basically no one came to this spot anymore. Compared to those beautiful, sweet, yet capable church sisters, who would want a shot from this pure-manly, muscular woman whose muscles put men to shame, who even trained muscles on her face?

They ’d rather queue a bit longer than be here!! Only sickos came here!

“Green, step aside for a moment.”

Fred grunted. Green glanced curiously at this gloomy Berserker. They were almost at the front of the queue. Well… looking at Fred’s arms thicker than the sisters’ thighs, that sister probably couldn’t squeeze his wrist for the shot… tourniquet?

Though such help was there, the physical fitness of Professionals was a real factor. The gadget worked well for ordinary people, but it was mostly ineffective for Professionals. Even though Professionals could burst their own veins… many chose not to do it!

Fred, who had stepped away, returned shortly. Green noticed keenly that he had changed clothes! For Fred, changing clothes usually just meant swapping his shawl, but hey, it was still changing…

“Please do not jump the queue.”

“Oh.” Hearing a church member’s words, Fred grunted and nodded. His gaze swept over the long lines nearby. There were many people, but the church sisters worked quickly. If things weren’t messed up, it basically took ten seconds per person – efficient and orderly. But getting in line at the very end meant waiting a long time.

So, Fred went to the injection point that stood in stark contrast to the long lines…

“Damn it, my gut tells me there’s something fishy going on inside!” Seeing this, Green couldn’t help but curse inwardly. He tugged the person in front of him, Oss. Oss remained silent, apparently not wanting to talk to Green. As the captain, he felt it necessary to maintain the team’s stability. Thinking ahead to scenes of this green-haired guy being chased and hacked by a furious Fred… it was kind of funny.

Even a gloomy Berserker was still a Berserker!

So, it was better not to meddle in this guy’s gossip. Why focus on your teammate so much right now? He’d be better off copying the queued people, head down hugging a book ‘studying hard’.

“…Captain, did you hear me?”

“Huh… yeah, I did.” Oss nodded helplessly. Something fishy? Of course there was. After all, he was the first to notice Fred’s unusual reaction. Now it was showing even more. But this wasn’t something he could openly discuss.

“So, do you think he likes that Female Knight? He’s a true man!”

Cough cough, I think… he probably just did it for convenience. Finding a vein is easier for the shot…”

“Captain… don’t you know a Berserker can pop veins super easily?”

“…Isn’t the lack of a queue faster?”

“Captain, are you a virgin?” Green patted Oss’s shoulder sympathetically. Oss’s expression remained blank. He really had nothing to refute that. He was the youngest on the team. Having grown up in the Slums while caring for his sister, how could he possibly spend his days thinking about meeting women?

The queue moved quickly to Oss. He sat down, looked at the church sister with the sweet smile in front of him, and extended his arm. “I’ll do it myself.”

Saying this, he slightly activated his Bloodline Power. The veins on the back of his hand bulged noticeably. Since Bloodline Power didn’t generate special energy fluctuations externally unless released, it was hard to detect anything off. However, if he used it intensively, hiding was impossible; Blood Essence would seep from his pores.

“Your eyes are beautiful, like black onyx.” The church sister smiled sweetly while looking into Oss’s eyes. As she spoke, she smoothly inserted the syringe needle into the vein on the back of his hand. Once the injection was done, came the next one. The whole process took less than six seconds—efficient.

“Uhh, thanks.” After the shot, Oss stood up, rubbing his hand gently to ease the discomfort from such a large volume of fluid entering his vein. He ignored Green’s exaggerated winking nearby.

Another location!

“Huh~ men.” Seeing Fred’s offered wrist, the Female Knight chuckled softly. She reached out and grasped his wrist, feeling the rebound force. Her eyebrow lifted slightly, and she increased her grip strength. Instantly, the resistance grew stronger. Neither used Battle Qi; this was pure strength. Finally, under sufficient pressure, the veins on the back of Fred’s hand bulged unmistakably. “A strong man.”

After finishing the shot, the Female Knight remarked. Fred nodded, grunted, and left. Only he knew what he truly thought. But seeing his slightly quickened pace… probably… satisfied?

“Hehehe, Brother Fred, that Female Knight was something, huh?” Gather point. Green waggled his eyebrows suggestively at Fred. Because there was no queue at the Female Knight’s spot, these two had taken almost a full minute, drawing a lot of attention.

Some who saw their builds found it unsurprising.

“Something? Yeah… definitely.” Fred rubbed his wrist. He had been gripping her wrist too, which didn’t hinder his exertion, but in that pure strength contest, the Female Knight was no weaker. She was Human, not someone with Berserker Lineage… so that Talent… very impressive!

Human and Alien Races rarely intermarried. Alien Races and Humans didn’t mix much either, as many put great emphasis on Bloodline purity. Marrying a Human diluted their original Lineage. After all, current Alien Bloodlines weren’t as pure as they once were. If this continued, even prominent traits might become recessive.

But nothing was absolute. If parents’ Talent was exceptional and their offspring surpassed them, the Bloodline could become even purer.

“So, brother, you want to pursue her…?” Green’s joking expression stiffened slightly. He felt a faint sense of ‘holy crap’ settle inside him.

“…” Fred nodded with a grunt.

“You go for it. We’ll support you.” Green finally said, filled with genuine admiration. In return, Fred just stayed silent. The teasing in Green’s voice was obvious to Fred, but about other people’s views… back when the Tribal Chief taught techniques to suppress the berserk nature, he had specifically advised controlling anger…

So, he’d hammer him later when the chance arose. No good opportunity yet. Maintaining control now would just build up fury.

As for aesthetic standards? The foundation of a Berserker was a mighty physique, regardless of gender. Without robust constitution, how could they maintain fierce combat? How could they unleash Battle Qi infused with their own rage? With a body not tough enough, the very Battle Qi they infused with rage would break their frame to bits on the release. No fighting then!

Therefore, a Berserker’s target for a mate… the primary requirement was strength, immense strength. So significant that for a woman, strength came even before femininity. Those delicate, fragile, seemingly delicate girls… ugh, forget it! Falling apart at a touch? Only races other than Berserkers could fancy them.

“Let’s go.” Fred grunted and clapped a huge, palm-leaf-sized hand against Green’s back. The bone-jarring impact made Green feel like vomiting blood on the spot. This was definitely payback!

“This medicine… is it really effective?” Garcia examined the back of his hand and asked Oss. Oss nodded, then shook his head. The Sanctuary Church wouldn’t tout something flimsy. Since they used it, it had to serve a purpose.

“Even if it works, we mustn’t let our guard down. It’s precautionary. So, remain vigilant as always.” Garcia nodded and said nothing more. He was a follower of the Azure Wrath Magic Arms Evil God. Wielding Azure Wrath gave him a unique bonus and allowed him to channel power from the Magic Arms into himself.

For others, doing that was suicide. Power channeled into Magic Arms could still be controlled after transformation, but it no longer belonged purely to oneself. Channeling that into one’s body?

Like drinking poison!

Poison mixed thoroughly with one’s own blood!

Followers of the Magic Weapon Evil God were different. They held an essence of the Evil God’s power. Channeling the power from the Magic Weapon back into themselves brought no harm; instead, it granted immense benefits! This was a hidden card Garcia hadn’t used yet.

It was also his assurance against Flesh Seed invasion. Azure Wrath possessed the Frost attribute. In combat, a layer of Frost power covered his entire body. Anything foreign invading him would freeze instantly. Flesh Seeds couldn’t escape that. Oss’s method was even more straightforward… Blood Essence power was harmless to himself but violently corrosive to other living beings.

Put another way… akin to injecting incompatible blood into others’ veins in large amounts.

So both were untroubled by Flesh Seed effects. As for Fred and Green… even though both were Alien Races, they were alive! They lacked extra traits. Normally, they could never avoid Flesh Seed infection.

“I understand.” Garcia nodded solemnly. Days together had deepened his understanding of his teammates. Overall, they were exceptional comrades. Fred was reserved, but remarkably dependable in combat. His immense physique made him not only an effective shield but also a major threat to enemies.

Green was chatty and playful, yet fundamentally good-natured. Good at scouting, ambushing, and filling gaps. Oss was genuinely young. Capable and strong, but… inexperienced as an Adventurer. That wasn’t crucial. What mattered was his reliability as captain – unlikely to betray positions for profit and sensible enough.

As for him, Garcia… a Cultist, really, nothing much to say. Though he wanted to preach, he decided against it for now. Scout worthy individuals first. Once their Evil God truly manifested, these worthy souls could join them immediately.

On Zheng Yichen’s end, she watched the sisters at the temporary prevention station. Excluding that previously present, now departed knight ‘big’ sister, each was stunningly sweet. Their mere presence made many Professionals reluctant to leave.

Zheng Yichen understood. Adventurers or Mercenaries seldom had families. But men, especially those braving dangers on outside Quests, could hardly live without women. Needless to say, how alluring these sisters were. All were affiliated with The Church. One might be deeply attracted, but doing more… impossible.

If one truly desired more, wooing them fair was the path. The Sanctuary Church didn’t restrict everyday matters, marriage included, unless involving special status. High-ranking members even received Church subsidies and blessings for their unions!

The Church was playing quite the game here!! These sisters looked sweet and friendly, but winning one over? Anything but typical difficulty. How did Zheng Yichen grasp this?

Simple logic!

She guessed!

Thinking of all the lonely men within the Isolation Zone… Normally, the Containment Zone lock wouldn’t lift for one or two months. During this period, these lonely men lived devoid of women – a state worse than barracks life. Stretch it too long? They might even find young men seem handsome…

Like that Green Hair on Oss’s team. He had mixed Elf bloodline; looks naturally weren’t bad… So, Zheng Yichen pondered, perhaps she should create certain… special products? Adult ones?

These would sell like hotcakes here, right?

“Forget it… too bad!” Zheng Yichen planned awhile then reluctantly dropped the idea. Witches had some access to the Magic Weapon Summoning Book. Though not core permissions, uncovering backend identities for certain online stores was possible. Producing those items wouldn’t be hard. Materials like plastic, or rubber? Far too feasible without magic. Wasn’t the Simulated Skin material for her Alchemical Puppets proof?

Creating those items? Risked being laughed at by Witches. They mightn’t care, each being an ‘ancient Witch’, but she cared! Getting teased now and then later just… wasn’t worth giving them ammunition.

“What’s too bad?” Dan Marina sidled up, curious. Zheng Yichen looked slightly melancholic, as if having lost a fortune!

“I gave up a huge business opportunity?”

“Oh dear? Got the wrong meds?”

“…”
