Volume 6, Chapter 20 – Inducement and Cooperation
Deep within Robusta Wildwood canyon in The Veiled Domain.
In the depths of this miasma-rich canyon where curse power surged violently, the ink-black fog condensed from curse power clung to Weiya’s silver hair like sticky spider webs, making her orange-red pupils appear even more dim. As she propped herself against the moss-covered rock wall to get up, her knuckles turned white from the effort, and the spot in her chest where Bai Lianyue had implanted primordial curse power ten years ago still ached faintly with each breath.
It seemed that because she had absorbed too much violent curse power, Weiya’s heart was beginning to become unstable.
“Huff… no, still not enough, not enough…”
Weiya looked down at the pale orange curse power swirling around her fingertips. The black patterns mixed within the curse power were more obvious than last time, resembling the anxiety that she couldn’t shake from her mind.
The girl-form Weiya tried channeling her power, and several large rocks were instantly wrapped in curse power and suspended, then directly crushed to powder.
Without a doubt, Weiya’s power had grown stronger.
But this real sense of becoming stronger only reassured her for an instant.
Her mind immediately flashed to the scene she had glimpsed today when secretly peering into Sister Ailiya’s room from the courtyard: Bai Lianyue sitting beside the cradle, gently feeding the little baby with a bottle, while Sister Ailiya quietly rested on the bed.
It was clearly a harmonious, happy, and warm scene, except in such a warm picture… there was no place for her and Sister Miya.
Just as Weiya was thinking this, a strange and eerie voice echoed in her mind once again.
——”Isn’t it normal that there’s no place for you? Ailiya has already united with Bai Lianyue, and that little baby is their child. And what about you? You’re just strangers with no blood relation. Now that she has a biological daughter, your mommy… won’t need you anymore.”——
Her heart suddenly contracted, and Weiya gripped the hem of her clothes tightly.
“That’s, that’s right…”
Neither she nor Miya were Mommy’s biological children, and it was Sister Ailiya who signed the contract and established the soul connection with Mommy, not them.

That little baby was even their biological child… now that she had real family, would Mommy slowly forget about her and her sister? Would she think they were burdens and abandon them like throwing away old toys?
“No… I can’t let them steal Mommy away.”
Weiya bit her lower lip until she tasted blood before releasing it, a trace of sick obsession flashing through her orange-red pupils.
“I need to become stronger, strong enough to protect Mommy, strong enough that Mommy can only rely on me… then she won’t leave. Sister Miya too… As for that little baby… if she gets in the way, I’ll eliminate her.”
Her eyes narrowed slightly, and terrifying killing intent quietly leaked out.
Just as Weiya’s mind was continuously generating horrifying thoughts, a light voice suddenly came from behind her, like a feather falling on her neck, yet it made her instantly tense up.
——”Hello, little sister~, want to cooperate with big brother~”——
As the voice reached her ears, Weiya whipped around, her orange-red pupils instantly contracting to pinpoints.
She saw a green-haired young man slowly walking out from the thick miasma behind her.
The young man wasn’t particularly tall, his shoulders so narrow it seemed a gust of wind could blow him over. His silver-framed glasses had slipped to the tip of his nose, revealing a pair of seemingly gentle eyes. He was holding a worn notebook in his hands, looking every bit like a harmless scholar.
“A human?”
Feeling Weiya’s gaze, the green-haired young man pushed up his glasses, the corners of his mouth curving into a faint smile that seemed completely non-threatening:
“Ah, human is correct, but also not entirely… eh hey??”
However, before the green-haired young man could finish speaking,
Weiya suddenly raised her hand, and a curse power light blade sliced toward the young man with a sound that cut through the air. Perhaps due to the evil god blood in her body, Weiya had grown increasingly disgusted with humans over the years. The people of the Lingyuan family—she tolerated them for the sake of Mommy and Sister Miya.

But this stranger? Who had also seen her secret?
There was no reason to let him live.
“Slap!”
The next moment, the curse power light blade solidly struck the young man. The green-haired youth didn’t even grunt before his body was directly smashed apart, exploding into a blood mist. Fresh blood and internal organs splattered everywhere—he was as dead as dead could be.
Thinking she had already dealt with the enemy, Weiya prepared to re-enter the black fog.
However, at this moment, that same voice spoke again.
——”Wow, as expected of a child raised by Master, you really don’t hesitate to strike, do you?”——
“Hm?”
Weiya’s eyes contracted as she spun around, then saw the green-haired young man standing not far behind her, still holding that notebook, without even a single wound on his body, as if what had been shattered just now was only an illusion.
Seeing this, Weiya said nothing more. Divine Departure Realm intensity curse power gathered once again, and this time it was obviously more concentrated than before. The next instant, several curse power light blades simultaneously sliced toward the young man, chopping his body into fragments, then reducing him to powder in the vibrations.
The energy impact even made the entire canyon tremble.
Just as Weiya thought the opponent was as dead as could possibly be, the green-haired young man appeared yet again.
“Hey!! Wait! At least let me say a few words! Hey! Why are you also…?!!”
Before he could finish speaking, he was once again mercilessly torn apart by Weiya’s power, just like the previous times.

Torn apart and revived, then torn apart again, then revived again.
Painful wails and the blood that splashed up made the depths of Robusta Wildwood canyon even more cold and sinister.
“Stop!!”
“Stop!!”
“Damn it!!”
Like this, Weiya repeated the process five or six more times, easily shattering the young man each time, yet watching helplessly as he reappeared each time.
Looking at the corpses scattered on the ground and the young man who had once again appeared mysteriously, Weiya stopped her attacks.
But even so, her orange-red pupils were still full of hostility and confusion:
“What do you want to say?”
“Ah, wonderful, finally we can have a chat.”
After sighing, the green-haired young man jumped down from the rocks and slowly walked in front of Weiya, maintaining a safe distance. His smile still looked harmless, but his tone carried a strange kind of inducement:
“Speaking of which, little Weiya. Aren’t you afraid? Afraid that after Mas… no, after Bai Lianyue has Ailiya and that child called Xing Wu, she’ll forget about you and your sister? Afraid that she’ll think since you’re not her biological children, she’ll abandon you?”
Weiya’s body suddenly stiffened, as if someone had ruthlessly stabbed her in the heart. The fear she had never dared acknowledge was easily spoken by this stranger. She clenched her fists, her nails digging deep into her palms, her voice carrying a barely detectable tremor:
“You… why would you say that?”
“Well, because I once had a similar experience too, hehe. In any case, I want to tell you that your worries aren’t wrong. To Bai Lianyue, that little one who was just born is everything to her. And you? You’re just substitutes for that little baby. Now that she has that little baby, it’s only a matter of time before Bai Lianyue abandons you.”

Upon hearing this,
Weiya fell into silence.
Substitutes? Weiya hated this description.
But she seemed unable to deny it either, since this was consistent with the information Octopus Sister had privately revealed to her.
Seeing Weiya’s silence, the green-haired young man pushed up his glasses, a trace of cunning flashing through his eyes.
“So, that’s why I’ve come to help you, to help you reclaim your mother. To make your mother never leave you.”
“Help? How?”
“Do you know, your mother Bai Lianyue, or rather the Terran Malevolence, is not in a complete state.”
“Not in a complete state?”
“That’s right. Back then, in order to maintain her sanity, Bai Lianyue scattered her power, which ultimately led to the birth of the Abyssal Lord and Celestial Blight. Unfortunately, even so, the Terran Malevolence’s power was still too strong, so much that Bai Lianyue still couldn’t successfully suppress it. So, she hid part of her power in the evil god’s heart, dug out the heart, and sealed it in this Robusta Wildwood canyon.”
“Here?”
Weiya turned around in shock, looking behind her. At the same time, the girl’s eyes suddenly contracted, as if she had guessed something.
The guess in Weiya’s heart was confirmed by the green-haired man the next moment.
“That heart is the very thing that has been infusing you with power. And as long as you can control the heart, you can control Bai Lianyue. Make her… stay by your sisters’ side forever.”
