Volume 6, Chapter 26 – Yelena Plans to Act Quickly

The moment the second Corrupted Beast smashed through shop windows and charged out, the people of Wishaven completely fell from “angry protest” to “desperate flight.”

Dark green vines writhed like living snakes around roadside vehicles, steel car bodies creaking under the pressure before being flipped over entirely the next second. A man who had just crawled out of his car was caught by the sweeping claws of a Corrupted Beast, sent flying like a kite with a broken string to crash against a lamppost. The sound of shattering bones mixed with screams exploded across the street.

Then,

Three more Corrupted Beasts surged in from different directions—some crawled up from underground pipe networks, carrying asphalt and rubble; others leaped down from rooftop billboards, their vines cutting through the air with piercing whistles; most terrifying was a bear-like Corrupted Beast wreathed in black smoke, with fragments of human corpses still clinging to its claws. Its body, several meters tall, made the ground tremble with each step as if it would crush the entire street.

“It’s Terrabond Lineage Corrupted Beasts! The Lingyuan family really did release beasts to eat people!”

“Run!!”

“Help! AHHHHH!!!”

Accompanied by the frenzied surge of curse power, the crowd completely lost all order. Those who had previously roared while holding protest signs now only cared about diving into alleys. The blade pierced through, and the Corrupted Beast let out a shrill shriek before its body crashed to the ground.

Immediately after, Suyu turned to target another Corrupted Beast lunging toward a child. The heavy cannon roared, and a silver-blue curse power shell directly shattered the Corrupted Beast’s head, splattering dark green chunks of flesh everywhere.

As for the final Corrupted Beast,

Suyu instantly flashed beneath it, kicking its massive body into the air with one foot and delivering a tremendously powerful energy laser blast, directly turning it into brilliant fireworks in the sky.

In just a few short seconds, all three rampaging Corrupted Beasts had been eliminated by Suyu. She stood in the pool of blood, her mechanical arms slowly returning to maid outfit sleeves, blue pupils scanning the chaotic crowd as she began analyzing the infection status of Wishaven’s citizens…

On the rooftop,

Yelena’s red eyes stared fixedly at the chaos below, her five fingers unconsciously crumpling the railing into a ball, even her breathing heavier than usual.

Although the three out-of-control Corrupted Beasts were immediately eliminated thanks to Suyu’s presence, the consequences of these beasts’ actions were already irreversible.

Yelena’s fingertip lightly tapped against the railing, her brow furrowing tighter and tighter.
