Volume 6, Chapter 38 – The Elf Maid Captivates Hearts, But Not Everyone Can Touch Her
Shortly after Bazor left, the unease and shame on Ryan’s face vanished completely.
Replaced by even more unrestrained greed.
Bazor’s earlier warnings and the scenes of the dancers’ tragic deaths had already been cast from his mind.
Plopping back down onto the sofa,
Ryan rubbed his face, still burning from Bazor’s scolding, and ordered viciously into his communicator: “Get me ten more of the most beautiful dancers, ones with smoking hot bodies! Also, clean this place up—don’t let this mess ruin my mood!”
A respectful acknowledgment came from the other end of the communicator. Ryan hung up satisfied and collapsed back onto the fox fur sofa.
For him, enjoyment seemed to be the most important thing.
He picked up an unfinished glass of liquor from the table and gulped it down. The alcohol burned his throat but made him increasingly excited. Fantasizing about countless beauties surrounding him and endless delicacies in the days to come, Ryan’s mouth curled into a lascivious smile.
“Really made a good deal~”
As he muttered to himself, the room door was gently pushed open, and four young women wearing uniform white maid outfits walked in. They kept their heads lowered, movements gentle, beginning to methodically clean up the room’s chaos—shattered crystal glass fragments, scattered food remnants, wine-stained tablecloths, and clothing the previous dancers hadn’t been able to take with them were all quickly cleared away.
Ryan’s gaze swept over the four maids, his eyes frivolous and greedy. The first three maids had pleasant features, but in his view were too ordinary. It wasn’t until his sight fell on the last maid that his pupils suddenly contracted, his breathing becoming rapid.
That maid stood at the back of the group, her figure slender and graceful, the white maid uniform making her skin appear snow-white. Most eye-catching were her hair and eyes—emerald-green and silver gradient long hair cascaded over her shoulders like a waterfall, the strands smooth and lustrous, glowing faintly under the crystal chandelier’s illumination; a pair of dark crimson eyes lowered, long lashes trembling lightly like butterfly wings, concealing the emotions beneath yet unable to hide that heart-stopping beauty.
Her temperament was too distinctive. Though dressed in a plain maid outfit, she carried an aloof and noble aura, as if a fairy fallen to the mortal world, completely out of place in this luxurious and indulgent room.
Ryan’s heart pounded wildly. He had never seen such a beautiful woman. The previous dancers were like roadside weeds compared to her, not worth mentioning. He instantly forgot his intention to wait for new dancers, standing up and walking toward the emerald-haired maid with unsteady steps.

The other three maids sensed his intention and froze in fear, instinctively stopping their work, keeping their heads down and not daring to make a sound. They were just ordinary maids and didn’t dare resist this distinguished guest their superiors had repeatedly instructed them to serve well.
Just like that,
Ryan walked before the emerald-haired maid, using his wine glass to lift her chin, forcing her to raise her head. Dark crimson eyes came into view—there was no fear in them, no flattery, only calm, like an unfathomably deep cold pool. This calmness excited Ryan even more. He liked this type of woman who seemed cold but could be manipulated at will by him.
“Beauty, what’s your name?”
Ryan’s voice carried alcohol fumes, his tone frivolous:
“Didn’t expect a maid cleaning rooms to hide such an absolute beauty. Little sister, follow me, and I guarantee you’ll enjoy wealth and glory—much better than doing this rough work.”
The emerald-haired maid didn’t answer, only blankly looked around.
Seeing this, Ryan assumed she was shy and became even more presumptuous. While staring fixedly at the girl’s impressive chest, he reached out his hand, aimed directly at the girl’s collar, his mouth spewing filthy words:
“Don’t be shy. Come, let big brother see if you’re as charming as your appearance…”
His hand was only inches from that softness, the smile on his face growing increasingly lascivious. But just then, the previously calm emerald-haired maid suddenly spoke.
—”Mm, seems like he’s not here…”—
No one saw how she moved. There was only a crisp “crack” sound, like bones breaking, so clear it made scalps tingle.
“Ahhh—!!!”
Agonized screams instantly echoed throughout the entire suite. Ryan’s body curled like a shrimp, his forehead covered in cold sweat, his face pale as paper. His right arm twisted at a bizarre angle, the intense pain of broken bones nearly causing him to pass out. The wine glass in his hand fell to the floor with a “clang” and shattered.

The other three maids trembled all over in fright, but before they could react, a wonderful floral fragrance enveloped them, and they fell unconscious.
On the other side,
The emerald-haired maid casually tilted her head. Her dark crimson eyes no longer held their previous calm; instead, there was bone-chilling coldness and overwhelming pressure that made Ryan’s entire body tremble.
The next moment,
The maid slowly removed the maid’s cap from her head. Emerald-green and silver gradient long hair cascaded down, covering part of her face yet making her features appear even more coldly beautiful. It was none other than our Miss Bai Lianyue.
“Who, who are you?!”
Ryan clutched his broken right arm, trembling all over in pain, looking at Bai Lianyue in fear. Although Bai Lianyue wasn’t currently releasing her aura, Ryan could clearly sense… the faint oppressive feeling emanating from this woman was even more terrifying than Bazor’s, even more suffocating than those black-robed figures…
Bai Lianyue didn’t answer his question, slightly narrowing her eyes.
A black liquid-formed thorn immediately grew from the floor, wrapping around Ryan’s neck and lifting him up. Ryan’s feet left the ground, breathing became difficult, his face turning purple. His hands futilely grabbed at the black thorns but couldn’t shake them in the slightest.
“Xi Xuan… isn’t here?” Bai Lianyue blinked and asked blankly.
A few days ago, after eavesdropping on Yelena’s conversation with Zhouyu and the others, the evil god miss had learned that Xi Xuan had appeared in Clavino and even wanted to lead the human Covenant against the Trinity of Malevolence.
Of course, that included her Terrabond Lineage.
Although Yelena looked worried, Bai Lianyue herself was unconcerned.

Xi Xuan becoming the Covenant’s new leader—wasn’t that a good thing?
That guy would view the Lingyuan family as traitors and be hostile to the Terrabond Lineage because he surely lumped them together with the Vassals of Sky and Sea. If she appeared before him with her identity as the old comrade Alabaster Sovereign, she could easily resolve his hostility and guide humanity and the Terrabond Lineage to join forces.
After all, Bai Lianyue believed she still held some prestige with her old brother.
For this reason, Bai Lianyue had cheerfully come alone to Clavino to find Xi Xuan.
After learning that important Covenant figures had just moved into this high-rise building, Bai Lianyue thought Xi Xuan was living here, which was why she’d happily run over. But unexpectedly, after passing through the barrier, Bai Lianyue didn’t find Xi Xuan. Instead, she saw this inexplicable, alcohol-reeking pervert…
Although she didn’t understand who this person was, as a distinguished Covenant figure… at the critical moment when Corrupted Beasts were about to attack, he was actually here indulging in pleasure?
Truly displeasing…
Bai Lianyue’s mood worsened. With her emotional change, eerie curse power quietly overflowed from Bai Lianyue’s eyes.
After sensing this curse power aura and the curse force on the thorns, Ryan seemed to realize the identity of the person before him.
“Corru-Corrupted Beast?! Vassal?!!”
After determining that Bai Lianyue was a vassal sent by the Earth faction to kill him, Ryan instantly became incredibly terrified.
His voice was intermittent, hoarse from suffocation, eyes full of trembling and despair:
“No no no no!!! Don’t kill me ahhh!!! I’m just a puppet! I’m not really the new Shenluo emperor!! Xi Xuan just found me to put on an act!! Don’t kill me!! I have no value!!”
“Puppet? Emperor?”

Bai Lianyue’s brow furrowed. She felt like she was hearing more inexplicable things.
But these weren’t matters she cared about.
“You just mentioned Xi Xuan? You know him? Where is he?”
Finding Xi Xuan—that was the purpose of Bai Lianyue’s trip.
“If it’s Xi Xuan, he should be at the First Military Base in the city suburbs…”
Ryan’s tears and snot flowed out, fear completely breaking him down. “I’m just an ordinary person! I can’t do anything except indulge! Please don’t kill me ahhh!!”
Ryan continued desperately begging for mercy.
Regarding this, Bai Lianyue couldn’t be bothered to continue dealing with him. Having obtained information about Xi Xuan, she had no reason to stay here longer.
“First Military Base, then…”
Speaking thus, Bai Lianyue released the thorns choking Ryan’s neck. The latter fell to the ground like a heap of mud, gasping for air in huge gulps, eyes unfocused, no longer showing any of his previous arrogant swagger…
As for this puppet the Covenant had found to stabilize public sentiment, Bai Lianyue couldn’t be bothered to continue dealing with him. After summoning dozens more thorns to prepare physical memory erasure for him, the evil god miss turned to leave the room.
However, just as Bai Lianyue turned around, an indescribable chill suddenly struck from behind her, causing Bai Lianyue’s eyes to instantly contract.
Bai Lianyue: Hm??
