Volume 6, Chapter 43 – What The Hell?
“Just die!!”
Xi Xuan’s furious roar still echoed above the military base, the blood vessels surging in his silver-gray eyes almost becoming tangible. Before his words had even finished, his legs kicked off forcefully from the ground. His entire body transformed into a silver afterimage tearing through the air as he swung his fists wrapped in terrifying spiritual power, charging straight at Bai Lianyue.
“BOOM—!!!”
The fist hadn’t even touched Bai Lianyue when the surging spiritual power erupted first. The cafeteria ceiling instantly collapsed, steel and concrete shattering and scattering like paper. The surrounding soldiers were swept up by the shockwave, screaming as they crashed into distant walls. In just one exchange, half the cafeteria was reduced to rubble, and this was only the beginning of the disaster.
Xi Xuan’s attacks had no technique, yet carried world-destroying hatred. Each punch that fell was accompanied by earth-shattering booms. The ground was smashed into bottomless craters, and the originally sturdy military base buildings collapsed one after another like building blocks. In just seconds, most of the military base was reduced to broken walls and ruins. Smoke billowed, blocking out the sun, and even the sky was dyed pale silver by this violent energy.
“Die!!!”
Xi Xuan roared, landing a punch on the ice shield protecting Bai Lianyue. The tremendous impact force sent Bai Lianyue’s body instantly skyward, breaking through the base’s upper levels and flying into the air.
Xi Xuan followed immediately after, his form shuttling through the air at extreme speed, his fists hammering toward Bai Lianyue like a torrential rain.
“ORAORAORA!!!!” 1 Yes, its a jojo reference
Each collision erupted with blinding light. The air compressed to its limit before exploding, forming circles of visible energy ripples that swept in all directions.
On the ground, the surviving soldiers came to their senses and immediately activated the base’s defensive weapons. Dozens of missiles trailing long tails of flame roared out from launch silos, precisely locking onto Bai Lianyue in midair. Various colored magic light spheres condensed and formed, pouring down like a meteor shower together with laser cannons toward their target.
For a moment, the roar of missiles and the explosive sounds of magic intertwined. Terrifying energy swept across heaven and earth, as if to completely erase this area from the map. Below, Greemir’s face was deathly pale. He desperately erected a spiritual power barrier to protect several surviving soldiers beside him. Watching that apocalyptic scene in midair, his heart raced anxiously.
How did it come to fighting?!!
This wasn’t what he’d expected!!

And moreover… why would Lord Xi Xuan… disregard the surrounding comrades like this… and go all out??
——”What’s going on…”——
Greemir’s heart was immediately shrouded in confused emotions.
On the other side,
Even facing this destructive assault, Bai Lianyue in midair still hadn’t struck back.
Clad in a black dress condensed from curse power, she was like a light feather amidst the dense attacks, her form nimbly dodging and blocking. Facing Xi Xuan’s storm-like fists, she merely lifted her hand to lightly deflect them, dispelling most of the force. When missiles came, ice-blue curse power condensed at her fingertips, forming a layer of ice barrier. The missiles exploded against the barrier, the bursting flames unable to harm her in the slightest. Magic light spheres falling on her were even more like stones sinking into the sea—unable to even create a ripple, they were absorbed by Bai Lianyue as energy supplements.
The young woman’s movements were calm and unhurried, methodically resolving each attack. Her dark red eyes were full of helplessness, without a trace of killing intent—only bewilderment.
Sigh.
She’d clearly just wanted to come chat… how did it turn into this?
While sighing, the evil god young lady unconsciously cast her weary gaze toward Xi Xuan charging at her again.
“Xi Xuan, calm down.”
Bai Lianyue dodged another of Xi Xuan’s punches, her voice carrying through the violent energy to his ears.
“There’s no way you can defeat me like this—you’re just wasting stamina. And in your head… there seems to be some strange energy. Let me check it for you.”

The evil god young lady’s tone remained friendly.
“Are you saying there’s something wrong with my head?!”
Xi Xuan spun around sharply in midair, his silver-gray eyes full of contemptuous cold laughter. He lifted his hand to wipe the blood from the corner of his mouth—the recoil from his earlier attacks had injured him slightly, but this only aroused his ferocity even more.
“Who’s going to stop for you ahhhhhhh?!”
Before his words had finished, Xi Xuan accelerated again, his fists condensing silver spiritual power far exceeding what came before, hammering toward Bai Lianyue’s face. His eyes were resolute, clearly determined to kill her.
Bai Lianyue’s brows furrowed tight, a trace of gravity flashing through her dark red eyes. There was no way to talk like this…
Taking a deep breath, the elf maiden finally stopped merely dodging. Ice-blue curse power instantly surged from within her body, far more tremendous than when she’d condensed ice swords against Greemir earlier.
“Sorry, Xi Xuan.”
She murmured softly.
With a flick of her fingertips, ice-blue curse power transformed into several thick ice chains. Carrying bone-piercing cold, they wound toward Xi Xuan from all directions.
Wherever the ice chains passed, even the air condensed into fine ice crystals, and even the heat waves from the surrounding missile explosions were instantly suppressed.
The ice chains’ speed was extremely fast. By the time Xi Xuan sensed something wrong, it was already too late. Just as he was about to be bound by the ice chains, a trace of gravity flashed through his eyes. He desperately urged his spiritual power, trying to break free. But Bai Lianyue’s ice-element curse power was inherently formidable, and with her deliberately controlling the force, the ice chains instantly bound Xi Xuan’s limbs. Icy cold qi invaded his body along his spiritual power, making his movements instantly sluggish.
“Damn it!”

Xi Xuan struggled with a gloomy expression, his silver spiritual power frantically assaulting the ice chains. But it could only make the ice chains form pale frost—there was no way to break free.
“Alright, stop struggling. Let’s talk this through properly.”
Bai Lianyue urged gently.
The evil god young lady even stepped through the void, walking toward Xi Xuan step by step.
However,
Just then, a meaningful smile quietly surfaced on Xi Xuan’s grave countenance.
“Hm?!”
Seeming to sense something, Bai Lianyue’s brows suddenly furrowed.
“Whoosh whoosh whoosh—!!”
The next instant,
Wave after wave of formidable spiritual power fluctuations suddenly attacked from all directions. Amidst these spiritual power surges, seven black-robed figures suddenly burst out from the base’s broken walls and ruins, teleporting ghost-like into midair and forming a ring that simultaneously surrounded both Bai Lianyue and Xi Xuan. They all wore loose black robes with hoods covering most of their faces, revealing only the contours of their chins. The aura emanating from them was cold and deathly—identical to the black-robed people that Serveiling, Zhouyu, and Yelena had reported about.
Before Bai Lianyue could react, the seven black-robed figures simultaneously raised their hands. Violent spiritual power surged from their palms and shot precisely at the ice chains binding Xi Xuan.
“Buzz—!!”

The instant the spiritual power impact collided with the ice chains, a piercing buzz erupted. The ice-blue glow on the ice chains rapidly dimmed. The originally solid ice surface began showing dense cracks, and in the blink of an eye, they shattered with a “crack,” dissolving into scattered ice crystals.
Xi Xuan seized the opportunity to break free from his restraints, his form retreating rapidly to distance himself from Bai Lianyue. A trace of satisfaction overflowed from his silver-gray eyes.
On the other side,
Facing this sudden turn of events, Bai Lianyue didn’t counterattack swiftly as usual. Her entire movement abruptly halted as she froze in place.
The composure on her face was instantly replaced by shock.
She instinctively retreated half a step, her dark red eyes staring intently at the seven black-robed figures surrounding her, her breathing hitching slightly. This aura… was too familiar.
Not similar—completely identical…
In an instant,
Memory fragments from a thousand years ago surged into her mind like a tide—in the Celestial Augur Knights’ council chamber, brothers standing side by side, discussing matters; on battlefields suppressing Corruption, they covered for each other, fighting through blood; on intense battlefields, drinking wine and eating meat together…
The aura emanating from these black-robed figures belonged to those First Celestial Augur Knights who had long since fallen in battle… belonged to those comrades-in-arms Bai Lianyue had once fought alongside…
“What on earth… is going on??”
