It was Chinese New Year, I’m late to the the tl, anyway Happy late Lunar New Year!!!!

After the ice-blue streak of light that was Bai Lianyue vanished completely into the horizon, the air over the battlefield seemed to freeze for a moment.

Bazor hovered in midair, his blue eyes locked onto the barrier crack as it gradually sealed itself shut, his heart hammering so hard it nearly burst from his chest. The instant Bai Lianyue had broken through the barrier just now, the terrifying pressure carried in that ice-blue curse power had made this second-in-command of the Vassals of Sea instinctively lock up entirely, his back drenched in cold sweat within seconds.

“She…… she broke out……” Bazor’s throat tightened. He took half a step back on instinct, hands already condensing purple-black curse power, bracing for a last-ditch fight to the death. In his mind, the Terran Malevolence was obsessively devoted to her daughter — she would absolutely turn back in an instant and pour all of her fury down on him and Renoval.

If that’s how it is — then for Lord Polarvitan’s sake, he’d fight her with everything he had!!

Every second he could buy would count!

Bazor steeled himself.

One second passed. Two. Three……. The anticipated annihilating strike never came. The sky remained calm. Only the residual energy ripples from the barrier sealing itself drifted slowly apart. Bai Lianyue’s presence had long since receded — vanished completely in the direction of Wishaven.

Bazor stood frozen for a solid few seconds before he slowly lowered his curse-power-laden hands. The tension drained from his body all at once. He let out a long, ragged breath, his chest heaving.

“She……. she actually left?”

He murmured to himself, his voice saturated with a disbelief he was deeply relieved to feel.

“She really just abandoned her daughter and went straight to Wishaven? Unbelievable……”

The relief of surviving with his skin intact hadn’t lasted more than a moment before a crisp smack , followed by a deafening BOOM , exploded from right beside him.

?!!

“Hm?! What now?!”

Bazor whipped his head around — and the sight before him made his eyes go wide on the spot, his heart shooting right back up into his throat.

Xing Wu’s pudgy little fist had connected squarely with Renoval’s cheek.

The punch looked light as a feather — the aimless flailing of an infant — but the force it released was beyond anything anyone could have anticipated. Renoval’s face, twisted with shock and fury, was instantly distorted by the impact, his entire body launched as if struck by an invisible war hammer, sent hurtling downward toward the mountain range below — faster than even Bai Lianyue had flown off.

“BANG——!!!”

Another earth-shattering crash. Renoval’s body slammed into a hill just outside Clavino with full force. The entire hill lurched violently. Rock splintered. A column of dust and debris shot skyward. The hillside caved in with a massive impact crater, then collapsed entirely — shattered stone and earth cascading down like a waterfall, burying Renoval completely.

“W T F?!”

Bazor stood there gaping, purple eyes wide with horror, instinctively stumbling back several more steps.

Are you serious??

Even if she is Gaia Lobir’s daughter……. she’s an infant . A baby . That much strength ?? Does it have to be this absurd?!!

Meanwhile, in the cloud of billowing dust and rubble, a bedraggled figure slowly crawled out. Renoval’s gold-rimmed glasses had shattered, dangling from his nose on the verge of falling off. His dark green curls were caked in dirt and rock fragments. Blood seeped from the corner of his mouth. On his cheek — a small, perfectly distinct fist-print, swollen red.

He steadied himself against a chunk of rock that hadn’t fully collapsed yet, staggering several steps before finding his footing. He stared up at the sky with a vacant, hollow expression, seemingly not yet back from the shock of the impact.

“I……. I got sent flying?” Renoval murmured to himself, voice carrying a faint tremor. He reached up and touched his swollen cheek; the sting in his fingertips was very, very real. He had cultivated for hundreds of years. His strength had long since surpassed any ordinary Vassal, rivaling and even exceeding the top seats of the First Celestial Augur Knights.

And he , of all people, had been sent flying by a tiny baby???

What the —

What the hell is going on??

He snapped his head up and stared hard at Xing Wu hovering in the air above.

His brain still hadn’t quite caught up from that punch.

High above, the last drop of milk was drained. Baby Xing Wu tossed away the now-empty miniature bottle. It arced through the air and landed in the rubble below with a clang .

She extended one pudgy little hand and wiped the milk residue from the corner of her mouth, her tiny face still wearing a deeply satisfied flush.

“Eeh ya ya ya ya!” (Renoval: What is she saying?)

Accompanying the little infant’s bright babbling, a gentle yet razor-sharp violet radiance suddenly erupted from within Xing Wu, enveloping her small body in an instant.

“What — what kind of light is that?” Bazor’s pupils contracted sharply. He squinted instinctively, trying to make out what was happening within the radiance. The light was pure and powerful — carrying neither the contamination of curse power nor the wildness of spiritual power, but something else entirely: an aura of sanctity that made one’s heart tremble.

Renoval’s fury halted in its tracks as well. He stared fixedly at that violet radiance, his dark green eyes filled with wariness and confusion. This power……. was absolutely not Bai Lianyue’s curse power. Nor was it any evil god’s or Vassal’s power he had ever encountered.

?

The radiance intensified, dyeing the entire sky above in a soft wash of violet. Under the stunned gazes of Bazor and Renoval, the small figure within the light began to change —

The formerly pudgy infant body stretched and lengthened at a visible pace.

Silver-white hair grew rapidly from short newborn wisps into a cascade that swept all the way to the waist, tips shimmering with a faint violet luster. The formerly chubby, guileless baby face gradually shed its roundness, growing refined and defined. The purple eyes remained just as bright — but now carried a thread of cool sharpness within them, as though tempered by the passage of years.

Violet Augury Force swept around the young girl, condensing and gathering into a striking battle dress — covering her figure completely.

In the span of a few short seconds, the radiance faded. Up in the sky, the small infant was entirely gone. In her place stood a beautiful silver-haired young woman, her long hair falling to her waist.

“This……. is she……. growing up ?”

Renoval stood dumbstruck all over again, mouth hanging open wide enough to fit a fist. From infant to young woman in an instant — what kind of heaven-defying situation was this? He had lived a very long time and had never once heard of anything so bizarre.

This —

This is Master’s daughter?

But regardless of any of that…….

Master’s daughter……. would still be better off under his control.

With that thought, Renoval shot a meaningful glance toward Bazor nearby. The moment he received the signal, the purple-black curse power around Bazor surged violently, forming several razor-sharp energy blades. The muscles across his body swelled and bulged, and he launched himself at Xing Wu in a powerful assault.

Facing Bazor’s charge and the howling tide of curse power that swept toward her, Xing Wu’s face showed not even a flicker of alarm.

She slowly raised her right hand. Violet radiance gathered in her palm, and a magnificently crafted scythe materialized from nothing — its hilt a pale lavender, wound through with silver vine patterns, its blade luminous as moonlight, edges suffused with a faint violet halo and radiating a bone-chilling keenness.

In the next instant,

Xing Wu gripped the scythe. Her figure flashed like a ghost — and she slipped past Bazor’s energy blades with complete ease. Her movements were fluid and effortless, not a trace of hesitation in them.

“Not good!” Warning bells screamed in Bazor’s mind. He tried to fall back — but it was already too late.

Xing Wu’s figure appeared behind him in an instant. The scythe in her hand cut through the air with a piercing shriek, sweeping horizontally across his midsection. The violet halo sheathing the blade was sharp to an absolute extreme — meeting no resistance whatsoever.

“SHLICK——!”

A clean, crisp tearing sound rang out. Before Bazor had even registered Xing Wu’s movement, a searing pain erupted across his waist. He looked down — and saw his own body sliced cleanly in two at the midsection. Purple-black blood sprayed outward, staining the sky violet.

—— “Ah ha~ Just as expected……. an adult’s body really is much more comfortable to work with.” ——
