Volume 6, Chapter 65 – Now, How Best to Discipline Her? A Spanking Will Do.

“Boom!!”

Wave after wave of terrifying energy detonations shook the air.

Ailiya’s silver wings of light beat gently at her back. The golden shield flowed around her. Her cherry-colored eyes were cool, yet a thread of reluctance for her sister’s sake never fully left them.

She looked at Weiya — eyes crimson, body radiating a corrupted aura — and spoke with calm that nonetheless carried an irresistible weight:

“Weiya. This is your last chance. Come back to yourself on your own — or else… don’t blame Elder Sister for not going easy on you~”

Ailiya’s words, however, seemed to have no effect.

—”You’re a bad person… I’m… going to kill you!!”—

Weiya’s voice remained hoarse and twisted, her crimson eyes thick with hostility.

She flung her hand upward. The black curse power around her erupted in a frenzy. Countless fissures split the ground instantly, and blood-colored briars several times thicker than before burst forth like rampaging serpents, weaving into a massive net that bore down on Ailiya like a crushing tide. The thorns glinted with cold light; viscous dark-red fluid dripped from them, eating deep pits into the earth where it landed.

More unsettling still — from within the briar thicket, countless fist-sized blood-colored eyeballs suddenly surfaced. Their surfaces were threaded with veins; their black pupils locked on Ailiya. The next instant, dark-red curse power beams fired in unison, blanketing the area like a downpour. Wherever the beams passed, the air sizzled with a sharp, burning hiss; the ground was blasted into pits; the black mist churned and scattered in their wake.

The entirety of Robusta Wildwood canyon was being torn apart under these cascading waves of energy.

“Hmph. All you do is run.”

Valerdis’s venomous voice reverberated from around the eyeballs.

All that posturing, all that bluster —

And this is the extent of her ability?

Tch…

Of course, contempt aside —

For some reason, Valerdis could still feel that strange, inexplicable pressure radiating from Ailiya.

Instinct told him… however it happened, this woman needed to die as quickly as possible.

And so, guided by Valerdis’s will, Weiya’s assault climbed in both scale and frequency without pause. The destruction grew so vast it swept in nearby Corrupted Beasts that had rushed in to help — tearing them to shreds along with everything else.

Yet —

Faced with the overwhelming onslaught, Ailiya remained entirely at ease. The silver wings at her back beat sharply, and her figure became a streak of silver light — weaving through briars and curse beams with fluid precision. Every turn landed exactly where it needed to. The golden shield caught the occasional beam that slipped through, ringing out with a crisp metallic note, each beam dissolving into nothing the instant it touched the shield’s surface.

Her movements were elegant and swift, like dancing on the edge of a blade. As her skirts swept through the air, golden motes of light scattered in her wake, and any blood-colored briars that drew close withered and blackened under the encroaching holy power.

—”It seems getting her to reclaim control on her own is going to be… rather difficult.”—

Even as she evaded, Ailiya mused aloud to herself.

“Master, that thing is a will born from Corruption itself… Weiya is so small, how could she possibly break free on her own.”

The voice from within the rabbit-ear earrings reached Ailiya once more.

Ailiya could only sigh.

“Alright. Understood.”

With a nod, Ailiya’s eyes narrowed slightly, and she cast a dispassionate glance toward the blood-colored eyeball currently puppeting Weiya’s body.

A will born of an Outer God, is it?

This level of ability…

“Compared to what she was like back then… you fall far short.”

Ailiya said it in the tone of a passing assessment. Utterly indifferent.

“You?! You little—?!”

As though sensing the contempt in Ailiya’s expression, Valerdis’s eyes contracted sharply, dense killing intent pouring from his pupils.

He was a being born from Corruption itself — the true evil god of this entire world! And this brat, taken in by an impostor, dared to look down on him?!

“Who do you think you are?! How dare you look down on me?! I’ll tear you apart limb by limb!…”

Meanwhile —

Ailiya had no interest in responding to Valerdis’s raving. Her gaze locked onto the acupoints across Weiya’s body, tracking the flow of curse power throughout her.

At this rate —

She needed to first deprive this disobedient little sister’s body of its ability to move.

So, seizing a gap between one wave of beam attacks, Ailiya’s eyes sharpened.

—”Bai Ling Determination — Spirit Walk!”—

Using the footwork that Bai Lianyue had once taught her, Ailiya instantly slipped past Weiya’s successive attacks and closed the distance to her sister. Weiya instinctively lashed out with briars to block, but Ailiya raised her hand and cut straight through them with a single strike. Then, her fingers moved like dancing butterflies — swift, precise, and merciless — pressing in rapid succession against several vital acupoints across Weiya’s body.

Her chest.

Her shoulders.

Her abdomen.

The center of her brow.

“Pop pop pop!”

The instant her fingertips made contact, golden Augury Force surged through the acupoints into Weiya’s body. It suppressed Valerdis’s corrupting energy while simultaneously sealing the curse power channels within Weiya, and forcibly scattered the portion of Valerdis’s mental influence that had burrowed into her.

Weiya’s body lurched rigid. A flash of blankness crossed her crimson eyes. The arms that had been thrashing wildly froze in midair. The blood-colored briars and eyeballs around her instantly lost their curse power support and dissolved into black mist. She tried to open her mouth to shriek — and found her throat could make no sound at all. Her entire body felt as though it had been filled with lead, utterly immovable, only her eyeballs barely able to roll — brimming with helpless fury and sulky indignation.

“My body — what’s happening to my body?!”

Seeing her sister’s reaction, Ailiya raised the corner of her mouth in quiet satisfaction.

Then —

Silver wings shimmering, Ailiya’s gaze sharpened, and she swept her hand through the air. Countless golden chains poured forth from the light wings. Ancient purification runes were carved across every link, radiating a sacred glow. The chains moved as though alive — coiling swiftly around Weiya’s hands and feet, locking her wrists and ankles fast, the excess lengths wrapping several times around her body to form an airtight restraint that eliminated any possibility of struggle.

The instant the chains closed around her —

The dense, raging curse power around Weiya collapsed all at once. The churning ground of The Veiled Domain that had been writhing in response seemed to freeze solid, as though time itself had stopped.

In one moment, the mounting, ferocious momentum of Weiya’s assault —

Reduced her entirely to a harmless little kitten.

A very, very puffed-up little kitten, naturally.

There she was — chains holding her fast, unable to move at all — thrashing uselessly and baring her teeth at Ailiya with every ounce of effort she had left. Those crimson eyes radiated pure venom. Hoarse, rasping sounds scraped from her throat.

The depth of Valerdis’s emotional grip on her was still quite apparent.

Watching her sister’s controlled yet stubbornly defiant expression, Ailiya shook her head with resignation — then let a sly smile curve at the corner of her lips.

She walked slowly up to Weiya, looked down at her with an expression that held just a hint of mischief:

“Still this unruly even when chained up. My dear little sister — it seems without a bit of a lesson, you won’t behave at all.”

Before the words had even finished —

Under Weiya’s stunned stare, Ailiya reached her hand toward Weiya’s backside.

?!!

“You — what are you doing?!”

“What am I doing?”

The silver-haired girl smiled with quiet amusement — and gently lifted the hem of Weiya’s scarlet dress, revealing two pale and rounded little cheeks.

And then —

Smack! A sharp, resounding crack rang out as Ailiya’s palm came down hard.

—”Naughty child — you need a proper lesson!”—

“Ahhh——!!”

Accompanied by Weiya’s pitiful wailing —

Ailiya’s small hand, wreathed in Augury Force, descended again without mercy…

—Smack smack smack smack smack…—
