Chapter 1724

The Luo Sect Elder was tall and thin, with a mustache on both sides of his mouth. His eyes were sharp and full of spirit.

He stood with his hands clasped behind his back. His gaze swept across the densely packed crowd as he spoke concisely.

"Let's cut to the chase. Today's entrance test officially begins. Those who are interested in participating, please line up on the left. Later, 05 people will form a group and enter the Eight Trigrams.

"The test is simple. Those who walk out of the Eight Trigrams within 85 minutes will pass the test and become an outer disciple of the Luo Sect.

"Those who perform outstandingly and are chosen by the prophets will be able to enter the inner gate directly. Of course, it doesn't mean that others don't have a chance. After the entrance test, there will be an inner gate test. Those who perform outstandingly will also be able to enter the inner gate and cultivate the profound Taoist techniques of the Luo Sect. "

The Elder explained the process of the examination very clearly, and the method of the examination greatly surprised many of the examinees present.

Many people thought that the first test of the entrance test would be a written test to test one's understanding of scriptures such as Knowing Destiny. After that, there would be more tests, and only those who passed all of them would be qualified to become a disciple of the Luo Sect.

However, the test method was just to walk into the Eight Trigrams in the open space and leave within 85 minutes.

Everyone guessed that the Eight Trigrams must have hidden secrets, but such a simple and direct test method still caught them off guard.

"Those who are chosen by the prophets can enter the inner gate directly. Are the prophets more powerful than the Elders?"

Gu Chen turned to ask Tang Gaolan, who was beside him, when he heard the test method.

"The Luo Sect does not have a Sect Leader. The person with the highest position in the sect is the Great Prophet. Below the Great Prophet, there are usually nine prophets."

"The Great Prophet usually doesn't interfere with the affairs of the sect, so the nine prophets have high positions and power. However, what is a prophet? He is an otherworldly expert who has foresight and is not interested in mundane matters. Thus, there is a position of Elder, who is responsible for handling the trivial matters inside and outside the sect. "

Tang Gaolan had known that Gu Chen did not know much about the Luo Sect, so she was not surprised and answered honestly.

Gu Chen understood that the so-called Elder was just an odd-job worker, and the true higher-ups of the Luo Sect were the prophets.

Gu Chen could not help but glance around. Apart from the Luo Sect Elder and the disciples who were maintaining order, he did not find anyone else who could be a prophet.

Since the prophets would select disciples, they should be somewhere watching the test.

Gu Chen couldn't find the traces of the prophets and sighed inwardly. It was really troublesome to lose the powerful Divine Sense.

He exchanged glances with Fang Shijie, who was beside him, and then glanced at the great waterfall in the distance. Fang Shijie immediately understood what he meant and nodded seriously.

The inner sect was the true core of the Luo Sect. Since the two of them wanted to find out more about the Luo Sect, they naturally had to enter the inner sect.

Therefore, at this moment, Gu Chen instructed Fang Shijie that there was no need to hide his abilities. He should perform well in the assessment and attract the attention of the Prophet of Luo Sect!

No one else noticed Gu Chen and Fang Shijie's eye contact. After Tang Jianqing heard about the rules of the assessment, he looked uneasy.

"No." Testing to writing. to test! Gu, and I and of the test.

He had studied painstakingly for ten years, waiting for this day to amaze the world with a single brilliant feat. However, the sudden change had reduced his confidence by quite a bit!

"Interesting."

Shao Heyang, who was not far away, understood the rules of the test. When he saw Sect Leader Tang's uneasy look, he smiled mockingly.

After the Luo Sect Elder announced the test, the candidates quickly lined up.

Because they did not know the mystery of the Eight Trigrams, most of the candidates hesitated and did not want to be at the front. Many squeezed to the back.

"Hmph, if you don't want to take the test, you can leave now!"

The Luo Sect Elder had a bad temper. After a faint warning, the people in the front did not dare to retreat, and the line finally returned to normal.

Gu Chen, Fang Shijie, and Tang Jianqing lined up at the front of the line, while Tang Gaolan, Feng Yaya, and the others waited for the test results in the distance.

Soon, the first batch of 05 candidates walked into the huge Eight Trigrams.

As soon as the group entered, the people outside quickly saw the mystery of the Eight Trigrams.

The behavior of the examinees who entered the Eight Trigrams Diagram became a little strange. They walked around in the Eight Trigrams Diagram, as if they wanted to walk out, but they were trapped in a small circle, going in circles.

Time passed quickly. Half an hour had passed, but none of the candidates had successfully walked out of the Eight Trigrams.

The Eight Trigrams was only 855 meters long and wide, but it was like a curse, binding all the candidates inside.

Seeing this scene, the expressions of the candidates outside became solemn. They did not know what was strange about it.

When the time was almost up, the candidates in the Eight Trigrams began to become anxious. Some of them even ran around in the Eight Trigrams, anxious.

The strange thing was that the fifty people were scattered in the Eight Trigrams Diagram. The anxious ones ran around randomly, but they didn't bump into or affect the others. It was as if the fifty people inside were in different worlds.

The Luo Sect Elder looked at the running candidates and shook his head. Many of the Luo Sect disciples also looked like they were watching a good show.

Of course, there were some who were not idiots. Some of the candidates in the Eight Trigrams studied it for a long time, and their eyes gradually revealed a thoughtful look. Their feet carefully stepped on the Eight Trigrams, and their footsteps were very strange.

Such people were rare. The candidates waiting outside realized that they were getting closer and closer to the border of the Eight Trigrams.

Finally, there were two people who were just a step away from the Eight Trigrams. One of them suddenly vomited blood and fell to the ground, while the other took a step out of the Eight Trigrams!

Those who successfully passed the test turned back and looked behind them. Especially when they saw the candidates lying on the ground, they had a look of lingering fear.

At this time, the incense had also burned out.

"The test is over. Out of 05 people, only one passed."

The Luo Sect Elder's voice was like a bell. His voice woke the candidates who were still trapped in the Eight Trigrams. As if they had just woken up from a dream, some were annoyed, and some were sad.

The elder threw a token to the only candidate who passed the test, and the candidate was taken away by the Luo Sect disciples.

The candidate who was just a step away from the Eight Trigrams but vomited blood and fell to the ground in the end also woke up.

His face was pale. He looked at the back of the only person who passed the test and cried out in agitation.

"It's not fair! I saw him at the end! I was clearly on par with him. Why did I collapse in the end? There must be a trick! "

The crowd did not know what happened in the Eight Trigrams. They only saw the failed candidate speak incoherently and question the fairness of the Luo Sect's test. They broke out in cold sweat for him.

The Luo Sect was not a place to be questioned. If he was not careful, he could lose his life!
