Chapter 449

The defensive array at the border was broken!

The long border of the Nine Regions was protected by this array, but now, it had collapsed!

The beast tide of the Southern Mountains, the millions of corpse soldiers from the Eastern Wilderness, and the army of assassins from the Celestial Court charged into Youzhou from all directions like a flash flood!

"Open the gates and fight to the death with them!"

Seeing that the defensive array was useless, Huang Fuyi's eyes turned red as he ordered loudly.

"Fight! Strike the army of the Celestial Court! "

Loud bugles sounded from all the border cities. Soldiers of the empire rode on horses and strange beasts, rushing out of the open city gates to engage the five-race coalition army!

Although the array was broken, the empire's army was led by elite cultivators recruited from all the major forces of the Nine Regions. They were brave and skilled in battle, so it was hard to say who would win.

However, before the two sides came into contact, the empire's army was already in a mess!

Many strange beasts and birds of the empire's cultivators suddenly went out of control, and the reins they used to control them broke!

All kinds of standard magical equipment that were taken out by the cultivators suddenly lost their spirituality, and even lost all their power!

As soon as this kind of chaos appeared on the battlefield, it directly messed up the formation of the Empire's army, causing their momentum to weaken significantly before they even came into contact with the enemy.

On the other hand, the five-race coalition army was led by the army of assassins from the Celestial Court, who were most proficient in the art of killing, and the heavy firepower from the armory. They were like a sharp knife that directly stabbed into the heart of the empire's army. Wherever they went, they were unstoppable!

In addition to the unkillable corpse soldiers and the ferocious demonic beast army, the empire's army of three million soldiers was actually defeated in a single exchange!

"Damned Thousand Refinements Holy Sect! Steady! Steady! "

Huang Fuyi commanded from the top of the city wall. Seeing the empire's army retreating, his eyes couldn't help but turn red.

Anyone with a discerning eye could tell who was behind all this. Whether it was the defensive array at the border, the weapons of the imperial soldiers, or even the protective equipment of the various mounts, they were all maintained by the cultivators under the banner of the Thousand Refinements Saint Sect!

The Thousand Refinements Saint Sect had clearly betrayed the empire. Before the war, they had done all sorts of things, causing them to suffer a fatal blow!

Under such circumstances, Huang Fuyi could only roar and order his men to beat the drums continuously, forbidding the soldiers from retreating, and fight to the death with the coalition army of the five clans!

However, the heavens did not go according to his wishes. From all over the twenty border city defense lines, news that made his heart sink to the bottom of the valley came very quickly!

"Reporting to Your Royal Highness, the East Vanquishing Prince has retreated with his army, giving up on defending the border!"

"Crown Prince, something bad has happened! A large number of deserters have appeared at the three eastern defense lines! "

Huang Fuyi listened to his subordinate's report, and his eyes almost popped out of their sockets. He knew that the little trick before the Battle of the Overlord had worked!

East Vanquishing Lord was a king conferred by the former royal family. He was the governor of Youzhou Province and had a strong army.

Most likely, after seeing the flag of the former royal family and Princess Lanchu, the other party had become disloyal. Then, after seeing that the formation had been broken and the Five Clans Alliance Army was coming at them aggressively, they had chosen to give up on resisting.

As for the deserters, there was no need to mention them. Many of them had been forcibly conscripted into the army and might not be very loyal to the new royal family. Seeing that the Overlord was carrying the banner of righteousness and that the army was unstoppable, they had chosen to give up on fighting!

Once the deserters appeared, it immediately caused a huge effect. The soldiers of the empire, who had been fighting back with all their might, quickly lost their will to fight. They either chose to surrender or chose to desert as well.

The defeat of the army was like a landslide!

Huang Fuyi had never imagined that he, the crown prince of the empire, would suffer such a crushing defeat when he led the army into battle!

Seeing that the border was quickly broken through and that the Five Clans Alliance Army was pouring into Youzhou in large numbers, True Jade Divine Lord's eyebrows twitched.

"Your Royal Highness, we have lost today's battle. Why don't we retreat for now? We have plenty of time!"

Seeing that the Sages of the Celestial Court were charging over one after another, and that they would soon be unable to resist, he naturally thought of escaping.

Although the major forces were working for Huangfu Wuji, they did not want to die in vain in this place!

"No retreat! We must kill the Overlord! Everyone attack together! As long as we kill the Overlord, we don't care about the others! "

However, Huang Fuyi was unwilling to leave. He looked at Gu Chen, who was on the Sky Patrol Battleship in the distance, and his eyes were almost crazed.

His hatred for Gu Chen was too deep. Huangfu Qingming was his proudest son, but he was tortured to death by Gu Chen in front of him.

This hatred was already irreconcilable. Moreover, Gu Chen had destroyed his legs and made him a cripple. He wanted to kill the other party no matter what!

As long as he could kill the other party, it would be worth it even if he died!

Perhaps there were some descendants of the Huangfu family who were afraid of death, but Huang Fuyi had inherited Gu Chen's innate craziness and ruthlessness. At this moment, he knew that the situation was hopeless, but he still wanted to gather all his remaining forces to deal with Gu Chen.

From his point of view, the battlefield was so chaotic. If he had the chance to get close to Gu Chen and kill him, then even if the empire's three million troops were all destroyed in this battle, it would still be considered his victory!

Thinking up to this point, he soared into the sky, took out several forbidden weapons, and led the charge towards Gu Chen!

Seeing him like this, the experts from the Sky Mirror Palace and the Underworld God Palace clenched their teeth and soared into the sky behind him.

If Huang Fuyi died, they wouldn't be able to live either. Why not give it a shot!

True Jade Divine Leader was extremely shocked to see Huang Fuyi's craziness, but she refused to accompany him to death no matter what.

"The Thousand Refinements Holy Sect has already betrayed us. It's only human nature for us to retreat. Even that Huangfu Wuji can't say anything!"

He discussed with the big shots of the various Holy Sects and Sacred Grounds, then quickly gathered the remaining forces under the various sects and retreated into the inner regions of You Province!

"Overlord! I'm going to kill you! "

Huang Fuyi led an army and charged towards Gu Chen with a ferocious expression.

Gu Chen looked at him in surprise. He didn't expect this Huang Fuyi to be so daring.

However, in his opinion, this was just a mantis trying to stop a chariot.

"Unfortunately, you don't even have the right to be my opponent."

Gu Chen mocked and ridiculed. As soon as he finished speaking, the Celestial Court, led by the Green Qilin Killing God, Elder Nan Gong, and the others, had already soared into the sky and forcibly stopped Huang Fuyi.

Huang Fuyi's army was either dead or had fled. How could the remaining group of trusted aides be a match for them? They were quickly slaughtered and brought to Gu Chen alive.

"Kneel!"

The Green Qilin Killing God directly shattered Huang Fuyi's knees with a kick, causing him to kneel in front of Gu Chen, covered in blood.

Gu Chen glanced at the lower half of his body coldly. He clearly remembered that he had already destroyed Huang Fuyi's legs, but at this moment, Huang Fuyi's legs looked whole.

It was probably the Man with a Bamboo Hat who had helped him transplant a pair of normal legs from who knows where.
