Chapter 792

"This time, it's all thanks to Brother Gu. I suggest that Brother Gu take half of the demonic shaped gems. What does everyone think?"

Long Yun took the initiative to suggest when he saw that Gu Chen was in a difficult position.

"That's only natural."

"That's for the best. Cousin Long Yun, you take another five thousand demonic shaped gems and we'll split the rest equally."

Many barbarian youths nodded. If it weren't for Gu Chen and Long Yun, it wouldn't have been easy for them to pass the test.

Gu Chen would take half, Long Yun would take the other half, and they would split the rest equally. Each of them would get at least five hundred demonic shaped gems, which was more than enough for them!

Everyone knew that the score of this test wouldn't affect them much, but Gu Chen and Long Yun who wanted to reach higher realms needed more points.

Especially Gu Chen. His physique was judged to be inferior to Long Yun and You Xu, so he needed a higher evaluation.

"Then I thank everyone for giving in. When we become Heavenly Soldiers in the future, we will share blessings and misfortunes!"

Gu Chen did not refuse. He accepted half of the Magic Shaped Stone and said solemnly.

He had to obtain first place in the Heavenly Soldier Selection. Only then would he be able to obtain better resources, so the more demonic shaped gems he obtained, the better.

Originally, he played the most important role, so taking half was a matter of course, so there was no need to say anything.

But in reality, he had used everyone, especially Long Yun, to restrain You Xu's consciousness, which allowed him to successfully plunder You Xu's immortal physique bloodline power.

He had already obtained a huge harvest, so taking half of the demonic shaped gems would make him feel like he owed them, so he made this promise.

During this period of time, he and the barbarian youths had already become life-and-death friends.

"Brother Gu is too polite, but I like the phrase 'share blessings and misfortunes together'. In the future, we'll all be brothers!"

Long Yun said boldly, and the others nodded in agreement.

"Hmph, who's brothers with you?" Long Fang shook her head, then sneaked a glance at Gu Chen, her face flushing red.

If they became brothers, wouldn't that be fulfilling that phrase? I treat you as a brother, but you want to sleep with me …

"Ah, Elder Sister, why are you blushing? There's a situation!" the sharp-eyed Long Ao had discovered Long Fang's thoughts. So, he teased her. But, he was immediately beaten up by his elder sister.

Everyone talked and laughed as they finished distributing the demonic stones. At this time, the examiners also arrived at the battle area and gathered all the candidates.

The Old Patriarch, You Xian, and the others were also with them. At this time, the Old Patriarch was smiling, but You Xian's face was as ugly as if he had eaten a fly.

The examiners glanced at the messy battlefield and their eyes flashed with heartache. Finally, they fixed their gazes on Gu Chen and the others.

"Due to the special circumstances of this assessment, after some discussion, we have decided to change the assessment standards!"

As soon as the chief examiner spoke, all the barbarians became nervous, and the eyes of the other examinees who had failed to be selected lit up with hope.

"Candidates who currently possess more than 655 demon-shaped gems will still pass this round according to the original assessment method."

"Because the scale of the previous battle was too large, it would be difficult for the remaining examinees to collect 655 demon-shaped gems even if they stayed for the full three months. Therefore, we will score based on the overall performance of the examinees who failed to be selected and allow some to pass."

"Of course, in order to ensure fairness to the examinees who have already passed, the scores of the examinees who have more than 655 demon-shaped gems will be doubled."

After the chief examiner finished introducing the new assessment standards, all the examinees' faces lit up.

The scores of those who passed would be doubled, and those who failed would still have a chance to be selected!

This way of handling things was to everyone's satisfaction!

"Now, the examinees who meet the requirements to pass, come forward and hand over the demon-shaped gems."

After the chief examiner finished speaking, a few examiners had already taken out a pen and paper and began to record the scores.

Dong!

When Gu Chen threw tens of thousands of demon-shaped gems in front of them, it caused a small earthquake. The examiners' cheeks twitched.

It was even more exaggerated than they had imagined!

It broke the original record of the trial planet by nearly ten times!

"Good lad, I will remember you."

The chief examiner took a deep breath. He had an indescribable premonition that this lad would definitely be a thorn in their side after becoming a Heavenly soldier!

After all the examinees who had reached the passing score had been recorded, the chief examiner announced the names of the cultivators who had passed the assessment after their selection.

You Xu's name was impressively the first. Although he had suffered a crushing defeat at the hands of Gu Chen, he was the one who had set the exaggerated record, and his strength had been unanimously acknowledged by all the examiners.

Hearing that You Xu had not been eliminated, You Xian heaved a sigh of relief, but there was still a hint of anger in his eyes.

Although he had barely passed, his score was far inferior to that of Gu Chen and Long Yun. Damn it!

"The list of those who have passed the assessment has been announced. Congratulations in advance to those who have passed the assessment. You can now be considered a member of the Heavenly soldiers!"

The chief examiner said with a smile.

Although there was still a third round, it had always been just a formality. If there were no accidents, everyone would be able to pass it.

There were quite a few good seedlings among the Heavenly soldiers this time, and he felt gratified.

"Everyone, please rest on the training planet for two days. Two days later, you will enter the Immortal Dao Platform for the assessment!"

After the chief examiner finished speaking, he left, and Gu Chen and the rest were finally able to enter the safety zone to rest.

…

In the Heavenly soldiers' inspection camp, a man dressed in a loose green robe, revealing the well-proportioned muscles of his chest, was lazily lying on a chair. The corners of his mouth were full of stubble, and he appeared to be very slovenly.

He was flipping through an ancient book in boredom, and at this moment, a few examiners of the training planet walked in from outside and greeted him respectfully.

"Lord Tang Ning, the list of those who have passed the Heavenly soldiers' selection has been released. The kid you're concerned about has set an unprecedented record in the Milky Way Star Field!" The chief examiner said in a fawning tone.

Previously, Tang Ning had stopped them from evaluating You Xu as the first, saying that it was still uncertain who would emerge victorious. At that time, they were all very confused.

It was only after Gu Chen had destroyed You Xu's 055,555 strong army that the chief examiner found out that Gu Chen had been recommended by Lord Tang Ning, that he immediately understood Lord Tang Ning's intentions.

In his opinion, Lord Tang Ning should be most interested in that kid's results, so he took the initiative to inform him.

"There's still one last round of the Heavenly soldiers' selection, where did the list come from?" Tang Ning closed his book and glanced at the chief examiner indifferently.

"This … the last round of the assessment is just a formality. Is there anyone who can't pass it?" The chief examiner said disapprovingly.

"Nonsense!"

The lazy Tang Ning's eyes suddenly turned sharp, and a terrifying aura emanated from him, causing the expressions of the people present to change drastically.

"The last round of the assessment is the most important. Since ancient times, immortals and gods have never coexisted. What if a God Dao cultivator disguises himself and sneaks into the Heavenly soldiers' team? You must not be careless! "

Tang Ning reprimanded sternly, and the examiners' faces turned pale. They hurriedly said that they were in the wrong and promised to conduct the third round well.

"That kid named Gu Chen might not be able to pass the third round. If he can't pass the assessment, there's no need to ask me again. Just kill him!"

Tang Ning's expression turned cold, and his words caused the examiners' hearts to tremble.
