Chapter 835

Xu Yan, Long Yun, Fang Henian, and the others turned their heads, their faces full of shock. The person who said this was none other than Gu Chen!

The Heart Ape Race warrior also turned his head and looked at Gu Chen in surprise.

"Give me a reason," he said coldly.

"The one who is about to be executed by the Desolate God Race is senior's clansman. He is also a friend that I cannot ignore!" Gu Chen gritted his teeth.

He knew that the Desolate Region was in chaos. With his strength, it would be very difficult for him to get involved in the war between the two races. Now that he had finally met a senior from the Heart Ape Race, if he could follow him, he would have a better chance of saving the white ape.

"How can you make me believe what you say?" the Heart Ape Race warrior said coldly.

"Ancient Cang Huang Star! Senior should know of Ancient Cang Huang Star, right? "

Gu Chen said loudly. He guessed that since the Heart Ape Race wanted to save the white ape, they must know his identity and past like the back of their hand. They must know that he had stayed in Ancient Cang Huang Star for a long time.

As expected, when Gu Chen said this, the Heart Ape Race warrior's eyes shone with a strange light. He looked at Gu Chen a few more times.

"Let me see your cultivation," he said.

Gu Chen took a deep breath and immediately released the seal of the secret technique. He displayed the immortal power of a peak late stage sky immortal.

When the Heart Ape Race warrior saw this, his eyes flashed with disappointment.

"I cannot take you with me," he said coldly.

"Why?" Gu Chen's expression changed instantly.

"The scale of this war is not something you can imagine. With your strength, you will only die if you go. You will not be of any use." The Heart Ape Race warrior did not hold back.

"My true strength is not just this!" Gu Chen said seriously.

"You are merely a late stage sky immortal. So what if you have hidden some of your strength? Even if you are an immortal king, you will only be cannon fodder in the upcoming war. "

"My Heart Ape Race does not like to cooperate with others. We do not need burdens."

When the Heart Ape Race finished speaking, he turned and left.

Gu Chen's expression turned ugly when he heard that. Gritting his teeth, he pulled out the Kunlun Thearch Sword and charged towards the other party with an indomitable will!

He actually chose to attack an Immortal Venerable. This caused the expressions of Xu Yan and the others to change drastically.

Humph.

That Heart Ape Tribe warrior ignored him. His figure suddenly distorted, and in the next instant, he appeared far away.

"I don't have time to waste on you. If you want to die, go ahead. Good luck!"

As he spoke, he turned into a beam of light and disappeared into the starry sky. His speed was so fast that Gu Chen couldn't catch up at all!

The strength of a Celestial Prime was worlds apart from that of Gu Chen. He completely had the qualifications to look down on him!

Gu Chen saw that the other party had gone far away. He gritted his teeth, turned around, and flew straight into Silver Worm Planet without saying a word to Xu Yan and the others.

"What's going on with this Gu Chen?" Xu Yan looked towards Gu Chen. Amongst those present, he had known Gu Chen the longest.

"I'm not sure." Long Yun shook his head helplessly. Today, Gu Chen was acting strangely.

Gu Chen flew straight back to the surface of Silver Worm Planet, intending to recall the hundred million Demonic Sky-Devouring Insects.

He decided to leave the Warwolf Celestial Army and immediately head for the Wilderness God Star!

It didn't matter if the Heart Ape Tribe did not bring him along. Even if he was alone, he had to save the white ape!

Whistling a few times, Gu Chen summoned the swarm of insects, only to discover that most of them were greedily devouring the corpses of the Silver Nematodes. A small portion had actually turned into pupae, and a large number of them were sticking to the surface.

"What's going on?" Seeing this, Gu Chen frowned.

He observed carefully and discovered that after a certain number of Demonic Sky-Devouring Insects had devoured the corpses of the Silver Nematodes, their bodies emitted a strange light. Then, the light turned into threads that wrapped them up into pupae.

Breaking out of the pupae and becoming a butterfly was a sign of great evolution. This surprised Gu Chen greatly.

In the past, although the Demonic Sky-Devouring Insects would evolve after devouring elixirs or the corpses of experts, it was only a small change. They had never turned into pupae like this.

This was originally a good thing. It meant that the Demonic Sky-Devouring Insects had finally reached a qualitative change. They were about to undergo a fundamental change.

But Gu Chen was not happy. He was in a hurry to go to the Wilderness God Star, and the Demonic Sky-Devouring Insects were undoubtedly a great help. Given their current situation, how could they be of any help?

He tried to recall the Demonic Sky-Devouring Insects that had yet to turn into pupae, but they seemed to have gone mad and refused to stop devouring.

Gu Chen's expression darkened. At this time, Xu Yan led the other soldiers over.

"Gu Chen, what are you planning to do?" Xu Yan asked, his tone serious.

Gu Chen saw that everyone had come over, and he knew that he had to give an explanation. "Commander Xu, I plan to leave the Warwolf Celestial Army and go to the Wilderness God Star."

"Are you joking?" Everyone's expression changed, thinking that Gu Chen had gone crazy.

"Vice Commander Gu, the Desolate Region is in a turbulent situation. The two great races are about to go to war, and there are countless forces watching from the shadows. An army like my Warwolf Celestial Army is but a drop in the ocean in the grand scheme of things, unable to cause any waves at all. "

"And if you go alone, you'll be like a moth flying into a flame, seeking your own death. Please think twice before you act!"

Fang Henian said sincerely. He did not wish for a young talent like Gu Chen to die prematurely.

"I understand the risks, there is no need to persuade me." Gu Chen's eyes were resolute.

The veins on Xu Yan's forehead began to bulge when he saw that he was so determined that he had eaten a weight.

"Gu Chen! What kind of joke is this! As the vice commander of the Warwolf Celestial Army, how can you do whatever you want while carrying out a mission? You come and go as you please, where have the discipline of the army gone! "

He scolded angrily. He had finally found a good seedling, and in his heart, he had regarded Gu Chen as the next commander, but he did not expect him to be so willful and rash!

"I'm sorry, Commander Xu. This is my fault. I am willing to resign from the position of vice commander."

Gu Chen said without hesitation. His decisiveness and decisiveness moved everyone. Why on earth was he willing to risk his life on the battlefield at all costs and give up a rare opportunity to advance?!

"I won't allow you to resign! I won't allow you to go out on your own. There is no need to mention this again! "Xu Yan said with wide eyes.

Gu Chen looked at him in silence for a moment, then said. "What if I insist on leaving?"

"Then I will punish you as a deserter and capture you!" Xu Yan said decisively.

"If that's the case, I can only kill my way out."

Gu Chen's eyes suddenly turned cold. The Kunlun Thearch Sword fell into his hand, and a cold killing intent spread from his body.

"Is this brat serious?" Xu Yan was shocked when he sensed Gu Chen's killing intent.

Although the two of them had not known each other for long, he knew that this brat had a sense of propriety. He had thought that this brat would give up after he threatened him.
