Chapter 994

The Genius List competition was about to begin, and according to the usual practice, the Heavenly Officials set up checkpoints in the venue and began to check the participants' bone age.

The list had extremely strict requirements for age. Anyone with a bone age of more than a thousand years was not allowed to participate in the Genius List competition.

The geniuses of the various forces passed the Heavenly Officials' test and then walked into a long passage. At the end of the passage was a huge circular arena.

At this moment, the arena's auditorium was already full of cultivators, looking at the venue's entrance with anticipation. Every time a famous young genius stepped into the arena, it would cause an uproar.

In the VIP seats, the major starry sky giants had also taken their seats, paying close attention to this battle.

After all, apart from the Heaven Bestowing God List competition, the Genius List was the most important.

Gu Chen, Ji Lanchu, and Lu Yichen lined up together, waiting to be checked.

Behind them, the geniuses of many forces were also paying attention.

Although Chen Gu said that he met the age requirement, many people still held a fluke mentality. If the other party couldn't pass the bone age test, it would save them a lot of trouble.

Soon, it was Gu Chen's turn to test his bone age.

In front of him was a blue door of light, composed of a complex array. As long as one stepped into it, the array would automatically detect the true age of the cultivator. If the conditions were met, they could pass through safely.

If not, the door of light would react, and the Heavenly Officials would judge that the cultivator was not qualified.

"Daoist Chen, someone asked me to pass a message to you."

As Gu Chen walked to the door of light, the Heavenly Officials in charge of the inspection suddenly whispered to him.

He couldn't help but look at him.

"If you pass through this door, your father's life will be in danger."

After the Heavenly Officials finished speaking, they thought that Gu Chen's expression would change greatly or he would hesitate, but they didn't expect him to just smile and directly walk through the door!

The moment he stepped through the door, the result of his bone age also came out, and only the Heavenly Officials could see it.

"This kid …"

The Heavenly Officials' face showed a look of horror, because the age shown was a bit shocking.

Not to mention a thousand years old, not to mention a hundred years old, this kid in front of him was not even 05 years old!

"A Heavenly General who's not even 05 years old …"

With great difficulty, he took a deep breath and calmed himself down. He glanced at a distant corner and shook his head lightly.

Seeing his reaction, Qiong Qi and the other two turned around and left.

"I didn't expect this kid to actually participate in the competition. Let's go to the audience seats. I want to see what he's up to!"

They couldn't enter the venue, so Qiong Qi and the other two could only choose to watch from the audience seats.

Gu Chen easily passed the inspection and walked into the passageway of the arena. This made the faces of Gu Xunfeng and the other geniuses who had been watching from behind turn ugly.

"I didn't expect this person to be of the same generation as us. Looking at that priest's expression just now, his age seems to be a bit beyond imagination."

Gu Xunfeng murmured and looked at the geniuses around him.

Wan Jianming of the Divine Sect of Ten Thousand Swords, Yu Wenbo of the Eye Clan, and a few others who could compete with him for the top spot were all here.

Aside from them, the second-rate geniuses, such as Hou Zhou of the Yi Clan, who was defeated by Kunlun Saintess, Yao Yue of the Immeasurable Demon God Sect, and Tuoba Zhu of the Aurum Clan were also here.

"Everyone, that Chen Gu is our greatest enemy. According to what we've agreed, we'll sacrifice him to the heavens!"

Gu Xunfeng's eyes flashed with a cold light. Some of the geniuses sneered, while others proudly nodded their heads.

While everyone was discussing, they didn't realise that there was an unprepossessing butterfly on the roof, watching their every move …

"He's finally gone. But what's up with those guys? Are they trying to cause trouble?"

In the passageway to the arena, Gu Chen could clearly sense everything that was happening outside through the Demonic Sky-Devouring Butterfly and couldn't help murmuring.

He had purposely joined the battle of the Genius Ranking to temporarily lure Qiong Qi and the other two away.

When the three of them saw that he had entered the arena, they knew that he would definitely make a move in front of everyone. Furthermore, the Heavenly Official in charge of the inspection was someone from the Pure Spirit Kingdom. Thus, they didn't suspect anything and temporarily left.

This reaction was within his expectations. He could finally beat them at their own game.

However, he didn't expect that he would unintentionally overhear the conversation between Gu Xunfeng and the others. A large group of them were actually preparing to surround and attack him later on.

"Originally, I only wanted to place Qiong Qi's attention on the arena and let the Man with a Bamboo Hat and everyone from the Pure Spirit Kingdom think that I'm here. Thus, they would lower their guard. I didn't want to make such a big fuss."

"But since you guys are targeting me, you're forcing me to make a move. I can't let you guys mess up my plan."

Gu Chen closed his eyes and pondered for a brief moment before walking towards the arena.

No one noticed that during this process, the shadow on the ground behind him had quietly split into three …

Very quickly, all the participants of the Genius Ranking had been inspected and stepped onto the arena.

Several Heavenly Officials in charge of the inspection followed them into the passageway, ready to watch the upcoming battle.

At this time, no one noticed that Gu Chen, who was dressed in a black robe, had actually walked out from the empty preparation area. White Ape, Jiang Baiming, the Island Owner, and the Dragon Horse had been waiting for a long time!

"There's no problem now, right? It's time to save your father. "Jiang Baiming said with a smile.

"Someone has gone to my father's place. We have another mission now."

To everyone's surprise, Gu Chen shook his head and said something shocking.

"Not going to save your father? Is there a mission more important than this? "Jiang Baiming was stunned. The others were also very surprised.

One should know that the main purpose of their infiltration into the Divine Realm was to save Gu Chen's father!

Now that he was about to be rescued, Gu Chen said that he had sent someone else over!

The problem was that their people were all here. Who else could save his father?

Seeing that everyone was puzzled, Gu Chen said slowly with a stern face.

"You don't know much about the Man with a Bamboo Hat, but I've dealt with him many times. If I want to save my father and get rid of him, it's not enough to just take my father away. "

As he spoke, his eyes were burning with fighting spirit. "Everyone, listen carefully. This is my next plan."

Gu Chen then told everyone about his decision. Everyone was shocked when they heard it. Then, they revealed a malicious smile.

"Alright, we'll listen to you. Let's go!"

Very soon, the group of people left together and disappeared.

Almost at the same time, in the huge arena, a cold-looking young man in a black robe stood with his hands behind his back, looking at the sea of people in the audience.

Not far away from him, the geniuses from various forces were rubbing their fists, eager to fight.

"Sorry to keep everyone waiting. The most thrilling ranking battle of the day is finally here!"
