Never Make A Deal With Devil

Lucifer wiped a tear of amusement from the corner of her golden eye, looking at me with intense curiosity.

"You know, Seth..." Lucifer grinned, her sharp teeth flashing in the warm restaurant light, "...every time I meet mortals or lower gods, they always whine about how I don't act like a proper ruler of the Underworld. They complain that I'm too casual, too chaotic, or that I eat fast food on a sidewalk."

She gestured toward me with a fry. "You are the very first person who looks at me sitting in a booth, eating three cheeseburgers and chugging cheap soda, and says I behave exactly like a devil!"

I took another massive bite of my double bacon cheeseburger, casually chewing as I looked across the table at the Devil Queen.
