Chapter 93.2

They were visiting Arpeon today, and Ignis was the most excited to go.

“Hurry up! Hurry up, Isabella!” Ignis nagged over Isabella’s head while she packed the medicine she would give Seria.

“All right, Ignis. Just wait a little bit. It would take me longer to finish this.”

“I told you to prepare everything yesterday before we go!”

Isabella covered her ears in annoyance at Ignis’ never-ending complaints.

“I’ll be right back. Just wait a minute.”

Someone knocked on her bedroom door.

“Yes?”

Isabella answered, and Duke Kyar entered the bedroom.

“Did you finish packing up?”

“Yes, I just need one more thing. Wait a minute.”

“Take your time.”

Ignis snorted at Duke Kyar’s thoughtful words.

“Oh, I miss Arpeon! The green forest, the grass, the fragrant flowers, and the clean, warm breeze. Ah, my dear Arpeon!”

Ignis didn’t forget the poem he recited in the past, praising the beauty of Arpeon.

The ridiculous bird even urged her to recite the poem with him.

“That annoying bird is loud today. Why don’t we just leave it here, Isabella?”

Duke Kyar frowned at him, and Ignis’ wings trembled in horror.

“What the hell is that bastard saying? How dare he say such a cruel thing to me! You aren’t leaving me, right?”

Isabella whispered to Ignis to calm down before she smiled at Duke Kyar.

“Ignis is precious to me, Your Highness. Ignis is the only family I have left. I feel relieved when he is with me wherever I go. Even if it’s inconvenient for you, I ask you to be patient with him. Would that be alright?”

“I don’t like that you call him your ‘family’ when we are not even family yet.” Duke Kyar scowled.

Isabella winced.

“—But I guess I should understand that you cherish that noisy bird so much.”

“Thank you, Your Highness.”

“Why are you thanking him, Isabella? He is a mean person who wanted to take me away from you.”

Duke Kyar’s gaze returned to Isabella, and Ignis shut his mouth.

He thought that if he made more noise, Duke Kyar and Isabella might decide to leave him behind.

Isabella shoved her last luggage into the bag before the two fought even more.

In addition to the medicine she created for Seria’s rare disease, the wooden box also contained several herbs for Seria and Victor.

“I’m done,” Isabella told Duke Kyar while she put Ignis in his cage.

“Then let’s go.”

“Yes, Your Highness.”

Isabella was excited to go to Arpeon after a long time.

The thought of visiting medicine shops in Arpeon made her heart pound.

On their way to the Teleport Tower, Isabella took out the medicine for motion sickness from her pocket.

“What’s that?”

“Oh, it’s medicine for motion sickness.”

“A medicine for motion sickness?”

“Yes, I get sick when I ride the Teleport tower. My head hurts, and my stomach churned so bad that I can’t even stand properly.”

Duke Kyar stared at Isabella.

“You mean you’ve used the teleport tower before?” He muttered mechanically, and Isabella was taken aback.

It made no sense for a commoner to have the means to use the teleport tower.

It was fortunate that Seria’s face flashed in her mind.

“Yes, Princess Seria helped me with the cost. I used it once when I came to Rubella from the Lilith Kingdom. We went to Arpeon since it was close to Seria’s Kingdom, and we came to Rubella Castle using the teleport tower.”

Isabella, who uttered a plausible excuse, carefully examined his countenance.

“Oh, Princess Seria. I see.” He seemed to be talking to himself and it made her feel relieved, somehow.

Meanwhile, their carriage had reached the teleport tower.

When she arrived, she realized that she was finally going to Arpeon.

Isabella entered the teleport tower with Grand Duke Kyar excitedly.

**

She hadn’t seen Arpeon in a long time but it was still beautiful.

Isabella grinned, glancing down at the red-roofed houses in Arpeon.

She decided to stop by the Grand Duke’s villa to unpack before going to Arpeon Castle, where Seria was waiting.

The villa was familiar to Isabella because she had stayed twice there in the past.

Jack, the villa keeper, ran out to welcome the two people getting out of the carriage.

Jack, who was moving their luggage into the villa, looked at Duke Kyar with concern.

“It’s been a long time since you’ve visited, Your Highness.”

Grand Duke Kyar looked at Jack, who spoke restlessly, with a calm demeanor.

“I’m sorry to tell you this but most of the rooms in the villa are under renovation. It may be inconvenient, but you two should share a room, Your Highness. Would that be alright?”

Warmth flushed Isabella’s cheeks but the Grand Duke didn’t look like he cared about it.

“It may be a little uncomfortable, but it can’t be helped. We have no choice but to use one room.”

When Isabella looked up at him, she couldn’t believe that he was so calm.
