Chapter 107.2
Chapter 107.2
As her chagrin intensified by his unexpected behavior, Duke Kyar tried to soothe her by caressing the bite marks on her nape.
“Your skin is more sensitive than I thought.”
“Your Highness!”
“Your words earlier had inflicted a lot of wounds in my heart. I swear those wounds are more painful than this,” He said as he held her hand and brought it close to his chest.
When she glanced up at him, his dark gaze appeared so hurt that it made her chuckle.
“So, now you wanted revenge?”
“Not really. It’s just that your harsh words left painful marks on my heart, so I decided to leave my mark on you. At least, my bites will be with you all day until they heal, even if I couldn’t.”
She didn’t expect him to complain this much, leaving her speechless.
Had Duke Kyar gone crazy?
He was already marking his territory so that she wouldn’t forget who she belonged.
Day by day, his obsession grew worse, and they weren’t even married yet.
Unfortunately, Isabella had another problem.
Why did the bastard have to look so adorable in her eyes?
Perhaps, she had gone crazy as well.
Isabella was angry for a second when Duke Kyar bit her nape, but now her heart had relaxed as if he didn’t do it in the first place.
“You don’t understand me, Your Highness. You should know that I’m not lazy when it comes to working. This is why I don’t bother you all the time.”
“That reason isn’t enough. I noticed that you don’t show your face in front of me these days. That’s why I take naps often so that I could at least see you in my dreams.”
Grinning widely, Isabella asked. “Do I appear in your dreams most of the time? Do you like me that much, Your Highness?”
Duke Kyar frowned. “No.”
His firm response made her furrow her brows.
“I love you.”
Isabella’s eyes widened in disbelief at the sweet words that followed.
“Yes, I think love is the only explanation I could think of that describes this insanity, Isabella.”
It was the first time she heard him say, ‘I love you.’
Of course, the Archduke had confessed that he loved her multiple times when he drank the love potion at first, but Isabella had simply dismissed that as false.
She had many people say that they liked her in her past life, but she had never heard them say they loved her.
It was weird that those three words could touch her heart like this.
Isabella glanced down at him tearfully.
“Why are you crying, Isabella? Did I bite you too hard?” Duke Kyar examined the red mark on her neck as he wiped the tears streaming down her face.
“I’m thrilled, Your Highness. I’m crying because I’m over the moon. It’s not because I’m hurt. It felt so nice to hear you say, ‘I love you.”
“Don’t make me cry now, Isabella–”
“I love you, too.” She told him without hesitation.
It was a shame she hadn’t told him this in the past before he died.
Isabella didn’t want to have regrets in this life.
“Hearing those words made me cry, too. I think your confession is good enough.” Smiling from ear to ear, Duke Kyar pressed his palms gently on her pale cheeks.
“You don’t hate me anymore for being childish and jealous, do you?” He asked, and Isabella burst out laughing.
It appeared like he hadn’t gotten rid of that grudge just yet.
Isabella was really in love with this man, and it wasn’t just his appearance.
She loved everything about him despite his flaws and imperfections.

When Isabella woke up the next day, she touched the back of her neck immediately and found out that some traces of him remained there.
Every time she noticed the red mark, she always remembered the Archduke’s confession, and it never failed to set her cheeks on fire.
Did he do this on purpose?
After washing up in the bathroom, Isabella wrapped a white handkerchief around her neck so that no one else could see it.
Ignis had panicked when he saw the mark himself, demanding if a crazy dog had bitten her.
Her face had turned red when she recalled the Archduke biting her nape.
She mutters to herself, “Yes, the dog was more of a beast.”
Ignis, who had dozed off by the window earlier, flapped his wings and asked her. “Did you wake up already?”
As she looked at the sunrise by the window, Isabella replied to Ignis. “Oh, I have a place to go.”
Every time Kyle visited Rubella Castle, she knew he would be training in the woods every morning from six in the morning to two in the afternoon.
She planned to go to Kyle in the morning while he was training in the forest, and after that, she would visit Duke Kyar and give him her birthday present.
Isabella put a box of ‘Gloria’ medicine for Kyle and her gift for the Grand Duke inside a bag.
With her bag on her shoulder, Isabella told Ignis. “I’ll be back, Ignis.”
She left the castle while thinking about how to deliver the ‘Gloria’ medicine to Kyle naturally and as she walked towards the forest Kyle’s back caught her eye.
Isabella followed him carefully without him noticing.
Then, she would approach Kyle later while he was training on his family’s swordsmanship technique, pretending to run into him by chance.
However, her plan already failed before she could execute it.
Kyle turned around and asked, “Why are you following me?”
Isabella got flustered due to chagrin.
