Chapter 253

A dark blue dot jumped out from the black stone wall. It was the Iron Moon Insect.

At this moment, the Iron Moon Insect's color was even darker, and there was a trace of demonic aura on its body. It looked even more ferocious and violent.

"It seems that this guy ate a lot of Demon Bone Stones when he was mining!"

Chen Yu had no intention of blaming it. It was a good thing that the Iron Moon Insect's strength had increased.

However, when the Iron Moon Insect jumped out, it was obviously afraid.

"What's going on?"

Chen Yu released his spiritual consciousness to observe the place where the Iron Moon Insect escaped.

Right at this moment, layer upon layer of cracks appeared on the black stone wall, and strands of black gas leaked out from within. It was wild, overbearing, and shocking.

Bang ~

The stone wall shattered, and a pitch-black insect crawled out. It was as thick as an adult's thigh, and its body was as hard as stone. It looked like a Demon Bone Stone.

The "Demon Bone Insect" sensed Chen Yu and immediately opened its mouth to scream.

Hiss ~

The shrill scream was extremely loud, as if it could penetrate the body and descend on the spiritual level.

When the Demon Bone Insect opened its mouth, one could see that it was densely covered with sharp teeth, and black gas floated out. It looked extremely disgusting and terrifying.

"This … this is demonic sound!"

The insect's scream could make people go crazy. Those with weak wills would even go crazy.

Even though Chen Yu's body was strong and he had even dabbled in sound wave attacks, he still felt mentally uncomfortable.

After letting out a scream.

Swoosh!

The Demon Bone Insect suddenly jumped up and rushed at Chen Yu.

Although its body was fat and hard, the speed it displayed at this moment was extremely shocking.

"Get lost!"

This insect was simply too disgusting. Moreover, it was extremely extraordinary. Chen Yu immediately took out his Profound Heavy Sword and slapped it away.

The insect smashed into the ground, and the stone wall shattered, revealing a few Demon Bone Stones.

Hiss ~

The insect actually swallowed a Demon Bone Stone. Its body kept wriggling, making sounds of friction. It was obviously digesting the Demon Bone Stone.

At the same time, the Demon Bone Insect's aura increased a little.

"It can eat more than an Iron Moon Insect!"

Chen Yu was shocked.

However, it was clear that the Demon Bone Worm had lost its intelligence. It only knew how to eat people and things that contained the aura of the demonic path.

In addition, the Demon Bone Worm's aura was only at the early Connate realm, but its defense was strong, it was not afraid of death, and its attacks were crazy. It was much stronger than the black-scaled python that Chen Yu had killed before.

"Die!"

Chen Yu snorted, and his Pure Aura Qi surged out.

A layer of Black Fiendish Astral Wind rose on the Profound Heavy Sword, and its aura was terrifying.

Boom!

With a slash of his sword, layers of murderous aura howled forward like a waterfall, crashing down on the Demon Bone Worm.

Just by using the Fiendish Cloud Vital Energy, he was already stronger than the primary stage of the Connate Realm. Adding the Profound Heavy Sword and Chen Yu's strength, this strike was already close to the middle stage of the Connate Realm.

The dust dispersed.

A large crack appeared on the Demon Bone Insect's body from Chen Yu's attack.

The insect struggled with all its might, and the wound rapidly healed.

"This recovery speed!"

Chen Yu was shocked once again.

Although he was shocked, he would not give the insect a chance.

The Profound Heavy Sword slashed again, and waves of murderous aura came crashing down.

In the end, the Demon Bone Worm's body was smashed by Chen Yu.

"This insect has no vitality or water in its body. It is similar to the Iron Moon Corpse Worm, but more special. Its body structure is mostly bone stone!"

Chen Yu concluded after observing for a while.

At that moment.

Where the Demon Bone Worm had jumped out, a powerful demonic aura came again.

The rock wall shattered.

Suddenly, a human claw stretched out, pitch-black like bone.

Boom!

The rock wall shattered, and a black shadow jumped out, turning into a man. His body was pitch-black and hard, exactly the same as the Demon Bone Worm.

However, this man's aura was even more terrifying, reaching the middle stage of the Connate Realm, and his demonic aura was monstrous.

"Kill!"

The man growled and pounced, setting off waves of demonic wind.

"What is going on?"

Chen Yu's heart skipped a beat.

Before, he had thought that the Demon Bone Worm was a special insect, but now it seemed that it was not so simple.

At the same time, the depths of the broken rock wall spat out several balls of powerful black demonic qi, as if it was breathing.

Cracks spread, and there were many sounds of friction and tearing.

"I'm afraid there are more of these things down here!"

Chen Yu's heart trembled, and he felt a chill down his spine.

The Demon Bone Worm was at the early stage of the Connate Realm, but it was stronger than the early stage Connate Realm demonic beasts in the Demon Bone Wasteland.

Moreover, these things were fearless, as if they had been demonized. Their regenerative abilities were extremely strong. If a group of them came, it would not be easy to deal with.

"Retreat!"

Chen Yu made up his mind.

This was the Demon Bone Wasteland, one of the three most dangerous places in the Sky River Prefecture. Even an Origin Realm expert could die here.

At this moment, Chen Yu might have accidentally come into contact with a dangerous place in the Demon Bone Wasteland.

Sometimes, risks were taken for treasures, but Chen Yu didn't even see any treasures. If something happened to him, it would be a huge loss.

Besides, Chen Yu speculated that this man was originally a normal person, but after experiencing something, he became like this.

Thinking of this, Chen Yu couldn't help but shiver.

Peng!

Brandishing the Profound Heavy Sword, he repelled the man.

Chen Yu quickly left the cave and rushed to the surface.

"Kill!"

The man roared with a hoarse voice and chased.

Chen Yu didn't bother as he executed his movement technique and left.

"This is indeed the Demon Bone Wasteland. I cannot be careless!"

After getting rid of that man, Chen Yu stopped.

He was confident in his strength and fearless. Especially after advancing to the late stage, he became even more fearless.

From the looks of it, he had underestimated the Demon Bone Wasteland. One had to know that Origin Realm experts that came to this place had the possibility of dying.

Just like the cave earlier, there might be some terrifying dangers hidden.

"It is time to return!"

Chen Yu suddenly recalled that he had been in the Demon Bone Wasteland for a long time.

It seemed like there was still half a month before the Freshmen Competition.

He heard from Qiu Xiuyue that the top three of the Freshmen Competition had an abundance of Demonic Points.

When he was in the college, Liu Xuanzong had mentioned that the freshmen of these few batches were all extremely outstanding, especially this batch.

Therefore, the rewards for this Freshmen Competition were greatly increased.

Apart from the Demonic Points, there would be other types of rewards.

In the past, just the Demonic Points alone were enough to make many students scramble for them.

The importance of Demonic Points in the academy was self-evident. If one had enough, they could live in the best cultivation cave, exchange for many cultivation pills, go to the cultivation area to meditate, and ask for guidance from mentors. All of this was a trivial matter.

With the addition of other rewards this time, one could imagine how popular they were.

"It would be a waste not to take them!"

Chen Yu smiled lightly.

With his current late stage Houtian cultivation, if he used all his trump cards, he could even contend with a late stage Xiantian expert.

Of course, many of his trump cards couldn't be exposed, such as the Dragon Scale Bloodline, Blood Glazed Flame, etc.

Even so, Chen Yu was determined to get into the top three and had a high chance of getting first place.

Thinking of this, Chen Yu immediately rushed on his way.

Half a day later, he walked out of the Demon Bone Wasteland, bought a horse and returned to the college.

… …

Demonic College …

The Freshmen Competition was approaching. All the strong students were in seclusion and cultivating. They didn't even hesitate to use a large amount of Demonic Points just to shine in the Freshmen Competition tomorrow.

Blood Fiend Peak …

In a pavilion …

"Chen Yu isn't back yet?"

Liu Xuanzong, who was dressed in black, asked.

"Yes, he hasn't been back since he went to the Demon Bone Wasteland. Tomorrow is the Freshmen Competition. I'm afraid …"

Ge Juntian wore a pitiful look.

But in his heart, he was overjoyed.

He was sure that Chen Yu had died in the Demon Bone Wasteland.

"Don't worry, Instructor Liu. With Duan Hao, Zheng Shifeng, and the other students here, the Blood Fiend Institute will definitely be the brightest Branch in the Freshmen Competition!"

Ge Juntian said with a smile.

Bone Cliff Peak …

A handsome young man sat with his legs crossed in a dim cultivation cave abode.

He suddenly opened his eyes and a shocking demonic aura was emitted.

"I, Zhang Nan, will definitely make a great leap with this opportunity!"

The handsome young man burst into laughter.

He was Zhang Nan, who had met Chen Yu in the Demon Bone Wasteland. At this moment, his aura was at the early stage Xiantian.

"Hehe, Chen Yu, don't die in the Demon Bone Wasteland. Otherwise, I won't have the chance to defeat you with my own hands!"

The handsome young man smiled evilly.

What had happened in the Demon Bone Wasteland was the worst thing he had encountered since he entered the institute.

All his team members were dead, and the tall woman was the girl he liked.

Zhang Nan blamed everything on Chen Yu.

Demon Fire Peak …

In a certain courtyard.

A burly man stood on the spot with a layer of scorching black air flowing around his body.

In front of him, a skinny young man slashed with the saber in his hand. An overwhelming fiery saber radiance was unleashed.

However, the burly man's legs did not move at all. He was still taking a stroll in the courtyard as he resolved all the attacks from the skinny young man.

"Purple Demon Slash!"

The skinny young man's eyes flickered.

The saber in his hand emitted a shocking purple aura. He slashed and a huge purple flame saber was launched with a violent aura. Boom!

Bang!

A terrifying force suddenly erupted from the burly man's body. He waved his hand and a layer of scorching black air flowed out, swallowing the fiery saber radiance.

"Not bad. Luo Yongguang, your current strength is enough to help me kill Chen Yu!"

The burly man's face was cold and he did not conceal the killing intent in his tone.

"Brother Haotian, I will definitely kill that brat!"

Luo Yongguang smiled confidently.

Originally, he would need more than half a year to break through to the Innate Realm. He could at most enter the top ten in this year's Freshmen Competition.

However, a few months ago, Luo Haotian, a direct descendant of the family, found him and improved his cultivation. He even personally guided him in his cultivation.

A month ago, Luo Yongguang broke through to the Innate Realm.

Under Luo Haotian's guidance, his strength improved by leaps and bounds.

At this moment, Luo Yongguang even had the confidence to compete for the throne of first place.

"I have told you many times not to underestimate this person!"

Luo Haotian's face darkened. An invisible demonic pressure filled the entire room, making it difficult for Luo Yongguang to breathe.

Luo Haotian had fought with Chen Yu before, so he knew how monstrous Chen Yu was.

However, as a senior of the Demon Fire Academy, it was not convenient for him to attack Chen Yu.

However, if he gave Chen Yu the chance to grow, he might not have the chance to get rid of him.

Therefore, Luo Haotian had long started to delete candidates, preparing to get rid of Chen Yu in the Freshmen Competition.

In the end, Luo Haotian chose Luo Yongguang!

"Yes, Brother Haotian, I will not underestimate Chen Yu!"

Luo Yongguang said immediately.

"Mm, this is what I have prepared for you!"

Luo Haotian took out a large saber from his storage bag.

The saber was golden, with a glass-like purple flame pattern on it. It was beautiful and strange, emitting a heart-palpitating flame aura.

This was obviously an Upper Grade Artifact. Moreover, the forging method was extremely profound. It was obviously the best of the best.

"Don't worry, Brother Haotian. With this artifact, I can even fight a Middle Innate Realm expert!"

Luo Yongcheng's eyes lit up. His hands trembled slightly as he took the purple saber.
