Chapter 258

"Haha, the moths' corpses will only make the flames more dazzling and fierce!"

Standing on the high platform and looking down, Chen Yu's words were astonishing. His words revealed a strong sense of confidence and dominance.

Down below, the students of the Demon Fire Academy couldn't help but feel shocked when they looked at Chen Yu. They were actually stunned by the current Chen Yu.

The onlookers were also amazed by Chen Yu's confidence.

However, they had to admit that Chen Yu was very dazzling at the moment. He was qualified to be in the top twenty.

In the black pavilion far away.

The mentors and students of the Yunyang Academy looked at Chen Yu.

Princess Ning's eyes also flashed with a hint of splendor.

Chen Yu had shone in the Big Hunting Match and made a fool of Luo Haotian with the promise of three moves.

Now, Chen Yu had shown his brilliance in the Demon-Free Academy.

Lv Ze, the short-haired young man who admired Princess Ning, saw the change in Princess Ning's expression.

"Arrogant."

Lv Ze could not help but let out a low snort as he gave Chen Yu a few more glances.

On the other side, Liu Xuanzong smiled.

According to Chen Yu's performance, it shouldn't be a problem for him to be in the top ten. If he was lucky, he might even be in the top five.

Besides, Duan Hao, whom he had high hopes of, had a high chance of being in the top three.

In this case, the Blood Evil Academy's performance in the Freshmen Competition wouldn't be too bad.

"This brat is so arrogant."

The students of the Demon Fire Academy were livid with anger.

Not only did Chen Yu compare them to moths, but he also said that their strategy was meaningless and that it would only make Chen Yu more dazzling.

"Students of the Demon Fire Academy, let's work together and take down this brat!"

A student of the Demon Fire Academy who had some reputation communicated with the others.

"Brother Wang, help us this time!"

In fact, the Demon Fire Academy's students had even relied on their connections to invite students from other branches to challenge Chen Yu.

The competition continued.

"Freshman, you're too arrogant!"

A student of the Demon Fire Academy challenged Chen Yu.

"Bring it on!"

An ominous glint flashed in Chen Yu's eyes.

He was not a good person to begin with, and after cultivating the Evil Dao, he became even more decisive in his actions, showing no mercy in certain matters.

The students of the Demon Fire Academy had thoroughly enraged him.

Whoosh!

The Houtian late stage student had a vigilant look on his face as he flew onto the stone platform.

"Scram!"

Chen Yu's furious roar was accompanied by a raging black gale.

* Whoosh! *

With a flash of black wind, Chen Yu's figure instantly appeared on the other side.

At this moment, Chen Yu had nothing to hide, and he displayed his full speed.

Boom!

A dull sound of impact rang out as the young man was ruthlessly struck by Chen Yu in midair.

"How could this be?"

The young man spat out a mouthful of blood, his face filled with horror.

He had long since taken precautions against Chen Yu's sudden attack. He had also prepared defensive measures.

Unexpectedly, Chen Yu's speed was even faster than before, rendering all of his preparations useless. Even the defensive armor on his body couldn't withstand that huge force.

Bang!

Accompanied by a cloud of black wind and bloody mist, the young man's figure was sent flying and landed on the edge of the Demon Sky Peak with a miserable expression.

This time, Chen Yu didn't show any mercy, and he even did it on purpose.

At least ten bones in the young man's body were broken, and the injuries to his organs and meridians were even more severe. He wouldn't be able to recover in a short period of time, and if his injuries weren't treated properly, it might affect him for the rest of his life.

The young man couldn't get up for a long time, causing the people around him to shiver in fear.

It was terrifying to be injured to such a degree with just a single impact.

It seemed like Chen Yu had shown mercy before, but the actions of the students of the Demon Fire Academy had completely infuriated him, which was why Chen Yu was so merciless.

According to the rules of the Freshmen Competition, it wasn't against the rules as long as one didn't intentionally take someone's life. Therefore, Chen Yu's actions wouldn't be stopped.

"Come again, you little moths!"

Chen Yu said in a playful tone as he glanced at the ground below.

This scene caused the students of the Demon Fire Academy to tremble in fear.

Who could tolerate being called 'little moths' while pointing at their faces?

However, Chen Yu's collision was too violent and cruel. While they were angry, they were also a little scared.

The challenge ended, and the next one began.

"Zheng Shifeng, I'm taking your spot!"

A man with a yellowish face floated to the challenge ring to challenge Zheng Shifeng.

Zheng Shifeng was a new student of the Blood Evil Academy. He ranked tenth in the regular assessment and was quite famous among the new students, just below Duan Hao and Chen Yu.

Zheng Shifeng had already been challenged twice, so he wasn't in his peak condition. However, he had to accept the challenge.

The yellowish man suddenly took out a black flute and started playing it.

Suddenly, a strange and evil melody echoed in the air.

"Evil melody!"

Zheng Shifeng was alarmed. He circulated his True Qi and sealed his hearing.

From afar, Chen Yu was already affected by the melody. The True Qi in his body became chaotic, and some strange evil thoughts appeared in his mind.

Chen Yu circulated his Pure Ferocious Qi and strengthened his Spirit Will to get rid of the influence of the evil melody.

He realized that the closer he was to the yellowish man, the more he would be affected.

Even though Zheng Shifeng had sealed his hearing, the evil melody still echoed in his mind and affected his state.

"Evil Wind Melody!"

The melody suddenly changed. It was strange and full of killing intent.

In the air.

Swish! Swish!

Swish! Dark Spirit Power merged with True Qi and formed three semi-transparent swords that attacked Zheng Shifeng.

"Murderous Light Cut!"

Zheng Shifeng waved the long saber in his hand and slashed out with a large amount of Malevolent Qi.

Then.

The three semi-transparent swords went through the saber made of Malevolent Qi when they clashed.

However, the power of the three semi-transparent swords was obviously weakened.

"Is it possible to penetrate because it's a mental attack?"

Zheng Shifeng's face darkened. While he weakened the enemy's attack with his saber technique, he tried to dodge the attack.

On the other side.

The yellowish man floated and dodged the saber made of Malevolent Qi.

The Evil Wind Melody continued. The power of the three semi-transparent swords gradually increased. Under the control of the yellowish man, they followed Zheng Shifeng closely.

"Defeated!"

Chen Yu said calmly.

As expected, Zheng Shifeng didn't last long before he was defeated by the yellowish man.

Zheng Shifeng had a dull personality and a weak mind. Moreover, he wasn't suitable for the Evil Shadow Movement. If he had cultivated another movement skill that suited him, he might have had a chance to deal with the yellowish man.

After Zheng Shifeng went down, he immediately took some healing and calming elixirs.

After a challenge.

As expected, the students of the Demon Fire Academy challenged Chen Yu again.

This time, they were at the peak of the Postliminary Realm.

It was obvious that Chen Yu's fierce collision had scared the students at the late stage of the Postliminary Realm.

"How dare a new student be so arrogant and offend the entire branch. You'll die a horrible death!"

The youngster used his movement skill to its limit to avoid being knocked away by Chen Yu before he landed. At the same time, he didn't forget to threaten him.

"You're the arrogant one. You know you'll be beaten badly by me, but you still dare to threaten me!"

Chen Yu sneered.

Roar ~

Strong winds roared and black winds howled. Chen Yu's figure dashed out.

The youngster shuddered and used his movement skill to escape.

This youngster was at the peak of the Postliminary Realm. Moreover, his movement skill was exquisite. If he was careful, it wouldn't be easy for Chen Yu to defeat him.

Roar ~

The howling of the evil wind suddenly increased. Chen Yu's speed increased again, causing a dark wind to blow around the stone platform.

Suddenly, two figures of Chen Yu appeared on the stone platform.

This wasn't a simple afterimage. The youngster couldn't tell which one was real.

While he was thinking, his figure slowed down.

Bang!

Chen Yu, who was like a black beast, rammed into his chest.

The youngster was quite strong. He was already prepared. He wore a defensive inner armor and used all his True Qi to resist. Chen Yu's collision didn't cause much damage to him.

Bang!

Therefore, after the collision, Chen Yu added a punch.

Crack!

The youngster screamed when he heard the sound of his bones breaking.

Then, he was sent flying and fell to the ground, motionless.

At this moment, the strength Chen Yu displayed was more and more terrifying.

Apart from the Demon Fire Academy, there were no other challengers. However, it didn't mean that they didn't want to take advantage of the situation.

The competition continued.

The students who challenged Chen Yu were all severely injured. Only one or two of them could stand up.

On the other hand, Chen Yu's expression didn't change at all. Instead, he became fiercer and fiercer.

Under such circumstances, no matter how confident the students of the Demon Fire Academy were, they didn't dare to challenge him anymore.

As long as they went up, they would break their bones. They weren't masochists.

The senior students of the Demon Fire Academy who witnessed this scene were also furious.

Chen Yu had crippled the students of the Demon Fire Academy one after another. To a certain extent, he had tarnished the reputation of the Demon Fire Academy. As members of the Demon Fire Academy, they hated Chen Yu.

Luo Haotian's face turned even paler. He had come up with this idea, but it didn't work at all. Instead, it had tarnished the reputation of the Demon Fire Academy.

Not long after.

No one dared to challenge Chen Yu.

For example, the hot-tempered youth Wan Cheng, the movement technique expert Yin Xiyang, and the others who had challenged Chen Yu before. Both of them intended to wait and reap the benefits from Chen Yu's duel, but after over a dozen battles, Chen Yu's complexion had become unsightly, causing them to not dare to make a move.

"Hehe, in the face of absolute strength, the weak can't do anything to the strong. Chen Yu, you really didn't disappoint me. I hope we can fight each other!"

On the stone platform in the distance, Duan Hao's eyes were filled with battle intent.

Many of the freshmen knew that Duan Hao and Chen Yu had secretly competed against each other. Thus, it wasn't surprising that Duan Hao was praising Chen Yu and showing his battle intent.

"Duan Hao is from the ten great ancient clans. He's a popular candidate for the top three or even first place in this year's Freshmen Competition. It seems that Chen Yu's strength isn't limited to just being acknowledged by him. He might have a chance of making it to the top ten."

The crowd discussed among themselves.

"I also hope that you won't disappoint me!"

Chen Yu replied.

Hearing this, Duan Hao's face instantly darkened. He couldn't help but want to fight Chen Yu.

"How arrogant! He dares to say such words to Duan Hao!"

"Duan Hao has a great chance of making it to the top three, or even the first place. Chen Yu dares to say that he hopes Duan Hao won't disappoint him? He's too arrogant!"

The crowd was in an uproar. Many people once again spoke out against Chen Yu.

The competition continued, and the number of challengers decreased.

In the last battle, Zheng Shifeng challenged a peak Postliminary Realm expert and won by a narrow margin.

Thus, the second round of the competition ended.

"In this year's Freshmen Competition, the top twenty are Cao Zhongtian, Luo Yongguang, Situ Linyu, Duan Hao … Chen Yu, Zheng Shifeng!"

The referee announced loudly.

In this year's Freshmen Competition, only the top twenty would be ranked.

Therefore, these twenty people were exceptionally dazzling and could be said to be the center of attention.

However, in the Freshmen Competition, only the top ten would be rewarded!

As for Inborn experts like Cao Zhongtian, Situ Linyu, and Duan Hao, they had yet to fight.

All the students, including the mentors, were looking forward to the upcoming competition!
