Chapter 322

"Kong Zhong finally made his move."

Chen Yu looked at Kong Zhong on the stage.

He hadn't seen Kong Zhong fight since the freshmen exam, so he didn't know how strong Kong Zhong was now.

"Haha, you want to take my position?"

In the 75th position, a slightly plump woman suddenly walked out.

This woman had defeated the expert who originally occupied this position and seized the position. Her strength wasn't weak, and she was an outstanding late-stage Connate Cultivator.

The chubby woman looked at Kong Zhong's appearance and couldn't help but laugh.

Her own appearance and figure were inferior, but after seeing Kong Zhong, she felt a trace of comfort in her heart.

"Humph!"

Kong Zhong could tell what the chubby woman was thinking from her expression and snorted coldly.

Go!

Kong Zhong waved his hand and released four puppets, two of which were late-stage Connate Cultivators and two mid-stage Connate Cultivators.

Even so, puppets weren't as flexible as cultivators, and they didn't have spiritual intelligence. They were only controlled by a puppeteer. A late-stage Connate puppet certainly couldn't compare to a late-stage Connate Cultivator.

In addition, the chubby woman was a genius in the Magic-free Academy.

Her expression didn't change at all when she saw the four puppets that Kong Zhong had released.

However, Chen Yu, who had some understanding of Kong Zhong, found something different about Kong Zhong's puppets.

For example, the giant bear puppet and the ape puppet only looked a little similar to these animals, but upon closer inspection, many parts of them had been greatly modified.

Chen Yu speculated that Kong Zhong's puppeteering skills must have been greatly improved.

Swish swish …

Under Kong Zhong's control, the ape, the giant bear, and the two cheetah puppets attacked the chubby woman from four directions.

"Just a few puppets!"

The chubby woman didn't care, and a dark blue hammer appeared in her hand.

Boom! Boom!

Boom! She waved the hammer and spun, releasing a layer of wild cold energy.

With her as the center, there seemed to be a layer of grayish-white ice storm spreading in all directions.

"Haha, I'll first reduce the flexibility of your puppets, then I'll get rid of you, the puppeteer, and everything will be over."

The chubby woman thought to herself.

The puppeteer's main means were puppets, and their combat strength wasn't high.

However, the chubby woman found that these puppets were very good and had very strong resistance. But gradually, the speed and agility of the four puppets gradually decreased under the corrosion of the cold ice energy.

"A mere Xiantian middle stage puppeteer wants to snatch my spot?"

The fat woman snorted disdainfully.

She rushed towards Kong Zhong, and along the way, she suddenly swung her hammer, blasting a cheetah puppet nearby into pieces.

But to the fat woman's surprise …

Whoosh!

A spider puppet suddenly rushed out from the remains of the cheetah puppet.

Hiss ~

A tough spider silk shot out and wrapped around one of the fat woman's arms.

At the same time, a square hole suddenly opened up in the bodies of the other three puppets. A spider puppet flew out from each hole and spat out a strand of spider silk.

In an instant, the fat woman's limbs were bound by the spider silk.

"Break!"

The fat woman struggled with all her might, her True Qi surged crazily, and a cold Yin energy spread along the spider silk, trying to destroy the spider puppet.

Right at this moment, Kong Zhong extended his metal arm, and a purplish-golden claw shot out from within, grabbing at the obese woman's chest.

Peng!

The clothes in front of the obese woman's chest were torn, but the treasured armor underneath blocked part of the power.

But she still spat out a mouthful of blood, and her face turned pale.

At this moment, the giant bear, cheetah, and ape puppets immediately launched their attacks.

The obese woman hurriedly blocked, and in the end, she was blasted out of the challenge stage.

"We won!"

Kong Zhong revealed a smile.

There was an uproar in the surroundings.

Before, they didn't think that this Xiantian middle stage puppeteer would win.

But the puppet technique and adaptability that Kong Zhong displayed amazed them.

"Master Black Star, your disciple is not ordinary!"

Some teachers and mentors looked at the one-eyed Master Black Star and said.

"It seems that Brother Kong is not confident in himself."

Chen Yu smiled faintly.

Just now, Kong Zhong's performance was relatively calm, as if he hadn't used all his trump cards.

After Kong Zhong's challenge, Yu Hong issued another challenge.

After two rounds of defeat, he no longer had the ability to fight for the top ten, so he challenged the fourteenth place.

If he was arrogant and challenged the top ten, once he failed and was injured, he might not even be able to get a spot.

Soon, the competition for the spots was over.

"Next, you can challenge those who are ranked at the top. If you win, you will replace them. The final ranking will also be your ranking in the No Demon Academy."

The senior branch dean spoke again.

Chen Yu wasn't interested in this. It was just some extra fame, and it didn't have much practical use.

But among the twenty people, there were a few who had their eyes on the ranking and issued challenges.

Among them, the one who changed the most was Wei Bin, who was ranked fifteenth. He challenged the eighth place, and after a long battle, he finally won.

Wei Bin didn't use his full strength in the previous battle. That was obvious to everyone. It was not surprising that he could make it to the top ten.

Finally, the twenty spots for the No Demon Academy's tournament were decided.

Among them, Wu Heng, Luo Haotian, and Ren Han, who were ranked at the top, had never been challenged.

Countless spectators looked at these twenty people with admiration and respect.

These twenty people were the strongest twenty people in the No Demon Academy. They would represent the academy in the tournament of the entire Yunzhao Nation.

"This is information about the tournament. The twenty of you go back and learn about it!"

A teacher took out twenty booklets and gave one to each of them.

Back at his residence, Chen Yu flipped through the booklet.

First of all, the booklet recorded the situation of the students from the four major academies and the twenty to thirty top academies.

"Duan Xinyue, Ye Chengfeng, Yun Haizhen, and the others are all introduced in this booklet!"

Chen Yu's eyes sparkled.

The booklet introduced the skills that these people practiced, some of their techniques, and their strengths and weaknesses.

Of course, these descriptions might only be of the geniuses in the past. It didn't necessarily represent their current strength. It must be as recorded in the booklet.

Among them, Chen Yu took a look at the Yunyang Academy.

"Senior Yuan Chen once said that the first place in the Yunyang Academy is still controversial. At least one or two people have the ability to challenge the first place!"

The Yunyang Academy was indeed the top of the four major academies. It had the most disciples from the royal family and the aristocratic families. Therefore, the possibility of a peerless genius appearing there was higher.

"The top twenty are all at the peak of the Connate Level!"

After taking a look at the information, Chen Yu was slightly shocked.

Unlike the Demon-Free Academy, the top twenty of the Yunyang Academy were all at the peak of the Connate Level.

In the booklet, other than the information, there was also a detailed explanation of the competition.

In the past, there were usually two segments.

The first segment would be a trial or an adventure, which would eliminate most of the students.

After all, there were too many participants in the competition. If it was a direct ranking battle, it would waste too much time.

And in this segment, the mortality rate was higher.

The second segment would be the ranking battle, which would determine the ranking of the students from the Yunzhao Nation!

In addition, there were a few years where there was an additional segment in the middle of the competition. The purpose was to test or eliminate the students.

Other than that, there were rewards.

Almost every year, there would be Energy Transformation Elixirs, which could increase the chances of breaking through to the Returning Origin Realm. Other than that, there were also top-grade Bejeweled Weapons, large amounts of spirit stones, and titles.

"I wonder what the rewards for this year's competition will be?"

Chen Yu was looking forward to it.

According to the information, the rewards for every year's competition would gradually increase, surpassing the previous years.

That night, Yuan Chen came to visit.

"Senior, why are you here? We will be leaving in three days. "

Chen Yu asked.

"Master asked me to give this to you."

Yuan Chen took out two items from his storage bag.

One was a dark purple pearl. Chen Yu recognized this item. Back in the Devil Bone Wasteland, Chen Yu had used this pearl to kill the Demonic Inferno Lizard and resolve the crisis.

"This is a Message Amulet. It might come in handy when the time comes!"

Yuan Chen handed the second item to Chen Yu.

Chen Yu didn't stand on ceremony and accepted the two items.

The dark purple pearl's power was comparable to a full force attack from an Returning Origin Realm martial artist. If used well, it could even kill an Returning Origin Realm martial artist.

The Message Amulet allowed Chen Yu to send a distress message to Yuan Chen.

This was the first time Chen Yu felt that his master, Yi Lantian, valued him so much.

"With these items, as long as Junior can pass the first segment, it shouldn't be a problem for you to enter the top 05."

Yuan Chen smiled plainly and left his residence.

The College Tournament only gave out rewards to the top 05. To be able to enter the top 05 was not bad.

But Chen Yu's goal wasn't just the top 05.

"If I go all out, I can enter the top 75!"

Chen Yu estimated in his heart.

For the rest of the time, Chen Yu went into seclusion to cultivate the Sky Devil Secret Pattern Record.

The stronger one was, the better the College Tournament would be.

Three days later.

Everyone came to a plaza in the college.

There were already a few students and some of the college's upper echelons gathered here.

One hour later, everyone had basically arrived.

Swish!

Suddenly, a black robed figure appeared in the sky. On his shoulder, there was a sleeping mountain cat.

When everyone looked over, the figure suddenly appeared on the ground.

"So fast!"

Everyone couldn't help but be shocked. They didn't even see this person's movement technique clearly.

"Vice Dean!"

All the upper echelons bowed in unison.

Among the twenty students, there were a few who had never seen the Vice Dean's lineup. They all revealed looks of surprise and admiration.

If it wasn't for the College Tournament, they probably wouldn't even be able to see the Vice Dean after they graduated.

"Let's go!"

The Vice Dean's black robe fluttered as his demonic qi surged.

In the next moment, a strange demonic beast that was tens of feet long appeared in the plaza.

This beast had a huge head and body. Its body was covered in scales, but it had a pair of black wings.

It flapped its wings and a black wave of fishy wind spread out. Many of the Xiantian Realm students felt a sense of oppression and had difficulty breathing.

"An Origin Realm flying mount!"

All the students had looks of envy. This demonic beast's grade was also not ordinary.

Swish swish!

All twenty of them boarded it.

The Origin Realm flying mount suddenly flapped its wings, carrying everyone and flying far away.

In less than half a day, everyone arrived at the Sky River Prefecture Royal City. After activating the teleportation array, everyone was teleported to the Yunyang Sacred Residence.
