Chapter 362

Totems were rare to begin with. At this moment, everyone's attention was focused on the four totems.

The first totems was a golden red broadsword.

The second spirit artifact was a simple and unadorned turtle-shaped shield.

The third totems was a cold jade treasure sword.

The fourth totems was a cloud pattern pearl.

The four totems were emitting different levels of light. One look and anyone could tell that they were extraordinary.

"The first totems is called [Inferno Blade]. This blade has a certain explosive effect. It can increase one's attack power. The explosive power and defense breaking ability are shocking … …"

The gold cloud robed man introduced to Chen Yu.

"It has an explosive effect!"

Chen Yu was slightly shocked.

Normal treasured weapons wouldn't have such a special attribute.

The explosive effect was equivalent to increasing the power of each blade. Once it injured the enemy, the damage would be severe.

"The second totems is called [Turtle Shell Shield]. It is a defensive totems. Once this shield is activated, it can instantly create a defensive barrier. The defensive ability is outstanding. Even if it is activated by a Xiantian Realm martial artist, a normal initial stage Origin Realm martial artist wouldn't be able to break it. But this shield has a weakness. It can't be continuously activated … …"

Compared to the first totems, the second totems were slightly inferior.

"The third totems is called [Cold Water Spirit Sword]. It is the most outstanding of the four treasured weapons. The body of this sword is like water, but it has the characteristics of ice. If it is activated, it can become an ice cold sword. It can be considered as both soft and hard … …"

"The fourth Spirit tool is called the [Spitting Mist Pearl]. It is an auxiliary Treasure tool. It can spit out mist in a large area, and the person who holds this pearl will be able to hide within the mist. In addition, there is a space within the [Spitting Mist Pearl]. It can be counted as a storage tool."

As for the fourth treasure, it was quite normal.

After introducing the four totems, the gold cloud robed man carefully sized up Chen Yu.

Yun Hai could be considered as this generation's absolute prodigy. This year's competition was supposed to be his first place. But he lost to Chen Yu.

This undoubtedly proved that Chen Yu was far superior to Yun Hai.

Looking at Chen Yu from such a close distance, the gold cloud robed man finally realized how strong Chen Yu was.

The injuries from the intense battle with Yun Hai had basically healed. His energy was also very full. If he didn't consume the heaven defying elixirs, his recovery speed would be shocking.

In addition, the reason why Chen Yu could defeat Yun Hai was because of the innate spiritual flame [Blood Glazed Flame].

Even if it was a blood dao sacred flame, it was still very attractive to him.

And for Chen Yu to be able to obtain this flame, he was very lucky.

"If only he was a student from Yunyang Institute … …"

The gold cloud robed man thought to himself.

If Chen Yu was this, he would be it. if he could, he would be able to win with with with with. with with with with with with.

Chen Yu might be using a sword, but the best quality [Water Frost Spirit Sword] wasn't suitable for Chen Yu. Only a fire dao cultivator would be able to bring out the best effect with the [Incineration Blade].

Although the defense of the [Tortoise Shield] was outstanding, Chen Yu cultivated the [Record of Sky Demon Secret Patterns]. Hence, he didn't really need it.

"Then, all that is left is the [Mist Spitting Pearl]!"

Chen Yu's eyes landed on the fourth Cloud Pattern Pearl.

"Sigh, none of these four spiritual weapons are suitable for Chen Yu."

One of the Demon-Free Institute's vice deans sighed.

After all, this was the first time the Institute Tournament was rewarding spiritual weapons. Hence, they couldn't prepare too many spiritual weapons. Furthermore, the quality of the spiritual weapons were just average spiritual weapons.

But even so, these four spiritual weapons were much better than the top grade treasured weapons. Even an average Origin Realm martial artist would be tempted.

"I want this one!"

Chen Yu suddenly spoke and pointed at the fourth spiritual weapon.

"Oh?"

The man in the golden cloud robe was slightly surprised.

But thinking about it, none of these four spiritual weapons were compatible with Chen Yu's attributes. But the last one was a support spiritual weapon. It didn't matter who used it, it had the same effect.

"Alright!"

The man in the golden cloud robe kept the other three spiritual weapons.

Subsequently, Chen Yu received his primeval stones, Complete Energy Elixir and title before the award ceremony finally ended.

"Congratulations Vice Principal Yi, Demon-Free Institute has obtained first place this time. All three of your students had a good ranking in the Institute Tournament. You are undoubtedly the winner of this Institute Tournament."

The lady in palace attire stood up and congratulated.

The results of the Demon-Free Institute were indeed amazing. Chen Yu was ranked first, Yuan Chen was ranked fourth, and Luo Haotian was ranked eighth.

Besides that, the leaders of Sky Sword Academy and Yunyang Academy also gave some polite words.

Also, the other academies that were affiliated to the Demon-Free Institute came to congratulate them. Some even sent gifts.

The Demon-Free Institute's amazing results in this Institute Tournament also represented great luck. If they could get a share of it, it would be enough.

After the Institute Tournament, many academies left.

But the top management of the four academies gathered together and seemed to be discussing something.

"The Great Academy Competition this time has already confirmed that there are many sects and forces lurking in our four academies."

The man in the golden cloud robe said.

The assessment method of the first round revealed the true colors of those lurkers. The four academies suddenly realized that there were so many lurkers, and some of them were even the focus of their academies.

"These remaining Sect forces are becoming more and more rampant."

The white-browed elder looked unhappy.

In Sky Sword Academy, there were two extremely talented students who died in the trial. According to various clues, they should have been killed by assassins.

"There are many top experts among these lurkers, which means that the Sect forces are getting stronger and stronger. In addition, there seems to be a powerful lurker who hasn't been caught …"

The lady in palace attire said.

According to many students, there was an assassin wearing a black mask who was extremely powerful. Every time he committed a crime, he was very successful, so he hadn't been exposed.

She was worried that the assassin was one of the top geniuses in the four academies. If they didn't find out who the assassin was, they would really be a joke.

Of course, this assassin might not necessarily be lurking in the four academies. It could also be through some other small academies to enter the trial.

But the assessment rules were announced before the test, so the former was more likely.

"Anyway, pay more attention during this period."

Yi Lantian said simply.

…

On the other side, the students of the Demon-Free Institute gathered together.

When they came, there were a total of 75 students. Now there were only 68 left, and 68 of them had died in the first round of the trial.

"Brother Chen, you're really powerful. You actually defeated Yun Haizhen. I admire you!"

Kong Zhong said with a smile.

Back then, he was still competing with Chen Yu in the Big Hunting Competition. Now, Chen Yu had left him far behind.

"Junior Chen, you're really a person with great luck. Ever since you entered the academy, you've been rising at an amazing speed."

Although Jin Zhuofeng didn't know how to speak, he still came over to flatter Chen Yu.

After all, a long time ago, he had tried to harm Chen Yu. Although the two of them had worked together in the mystic realm, he was still afraid that Chen Yu would remember what happened in the past.

Other than Chen Yu, Yuan Chen, and Luo Haotian, Situ Linyu and Duan Hao had also achieved good results. They were extremely eye-catching.

Among them, Situ Linyu, who was at the late-stage of the Connate Realm, was ranked 75th.

But because of Chen Yu's dazzling performance, his brilliance was overshadowed.

"Let's go!"

An instructor shouted.

It turned out that the conversation between the higher-ups of the four academies had ended.

Yi Lantian summoned his flying steed, and the group got on it, ready to return to the academy.

When they came, the higher-ups were somewhat worried, but now, most of them were glowing.

Boom!

The strange flying steed flapped its wings and carried the group into the sky.

Chen Yu looked behind him and saw a white figure in the crowd of people from the Sky Sword Academy. It was Ye Luofeng, who was also looking at him.

At this moment, Chen Yu remembered the five-year promise between the two of them.

There was still a lot of time before the five-year promise, but Chen Yu's improvement in strength had far exceeded his expectations.

"It seems that this trip to the Ancient State was completely worth it."

If Chen Yu had stayed where he was, he would not have achieved what he had now.

"To leave just like that without even bidding farewell to me …"

Ye Luofeng bit her red lips as she watched Chen Yu leave. She felt annoyed and disappointed.

…

The team from the No-Demon Academy arrived at the Yunyang Sacred Residence and used the transportation portal to return to the Sky River Prefecture.

In less than half a day, the group successfully returned to the No-Demon Academy.

Such a huge mount caused quite a stir, and it instantly attracted the attention of many people.

"Welcome, Deputy Dean, instructors!"

Many students immediately bowed.

"Deputy Dean, why don't you call everyone out and announce this?"

A branch elder suggested with a smile on his face.

This time, the No-Demon Academy had won first place. Such a joyous event should be announced widely.

Yi Lantian nodded.

Several Branch Deans immediately sent out a message through their tokens.

In an instant, there was a commotion everywhere in the No-Demon Academy. Some teachers, instructors, and students ran out and gathered in the Central Square.

"The team from the Academy Grand Tournament is back."

"I wonder how our academy did in this Grand Tournament?"

"That's hard to say. The Yunyang Academy is too strong. They will definitely take first place again. Senior Yuan Chen is third on the Sky List, at most."

Everyone discussed spiritedly as they looked at the 68 students beside the higher-ups of the academy.

"This time, our academy's results are very gratifying. Three of us entered the top 67."

Yi Lantian said, his hoarse voice echoing between heaven and earth.

"Gratifying results? Could it be that Yuan Chen's ranking is not just third? "

In the group of teachers, a black-robed beauty revealed a look of shock.

When Chen Yu and Kong Zhong had first entered the academy, it was this black-robed beauty, Gu Lifu, who had received them.

"Among them, Luo Haotian ranked eighth in the Grand Tournament. The No-Demon Academy will reward him with 755,555 demon-free points."

Yi Lantian announced.

On one hand, he announced the results, and at the same time, he gave out rewards to motivate more students.

"Congratulations, Senior Luo!"

"Senior Luo is strong. This ranking is well deserved."

Some students flattered him.

However, Luo Haotian was a little absent-minded, and his expression did not look too good.

"Yuan Chen obtained fourth place for the No-Demon Academy. He will be rewarded with 805,555 demon-free points!" Yi Lantian said.

"Fourth place?"

"Only fourth place? He should be at the bottom of the Academy Grand Tournament. What's so gratifying about that?"

Many students and some teachers did not understand.

"Did Yuan Chen perform poorly?"

Gu Lifu was puzzled. Logically speaking, if Yuan Chen performed well, he should be able to obtain third place. In the end, he was only fourth.

"That's right, didn't three people enter the top 67? Who's the other one? "

A teacher asked doubtfully.

"The last person to enter the top 67 of the Academy Grand Tournament is Chen Yu!"

When this was announced, many people's mouths were wide open, and they were dumbfounded.

"That's impossible, right? Chen Yu actually entered the top 67? "

"Wasn't Chen Yu only ranked 68th in the competition?"

Many people did not dare to believe it.

Gu Lifu was in a daze. She did not expect that a student she had made things difficult for would enter the top 67 in the Academy Grand Tournament.

"Chen Yu obtained first place for the No-Demon Academy. He will be rewarded with 055,555 demon-free points!"

As soon as he said that, the entire Demon-Free Academy fell silent. Then, a huge commotion broke out.
