Chapter 494

In the ruins, Wan Baoguang and the group left the treasure hall and continued to explore.

Along the way, they didn't encounter any evil spirits, but with the six of them, they easily dealt with them.

During the battle with the late stage Returning Origin Realm, they had already revealed their true strength. There was no need to hide anymore.

The only person who was shrouded in a layer of mystery was Chen Yu.

When Chen Yu broke the twins' attack, everyone felt that Chen Yu wasn't simple, but they didn't know Chen Yu's true strength and trump cards.

Soon, a majestic, cold and imposing pagoda appeared in front of them.

This pagoda was even more well-preserved than the dark gold treasure hall. It didn't even look damaged, just covered in a thick layer of dust.

On the door, there were three words engraved — Evil Yin Pagoda.

"Evil Yin Pagoda? If I remember correctly, the Yin Sifting Sect had two peak late stage Returning Origin Realm experts. One of them was known as the 'Evil Yin Ancestor'! "

Wan Baoguang closed his eyes and muttered.

Most people wouldn't know about these things. Only an old treasure hunter like Wan Baoguang would remember some historical information.

"Could this be the place where the Evil Yin Ancestor used to cultivate?"

The short man guessed.

This possibility was very high and everyone agreed.

"There must be many treasures here. After all, the Evil Yin Ancestor was one of the strongest experts in the Yin Sifting Sect. He must have collected many treasures."

The twins were excited when they heard Wan Baoguang's words.

"I'm not sure if this is the Evil Yin Ancestor's home. But this Evil Yin Pagoda is filled with dense yin qi. Even if this is the home of the Evil Yin Ancestor, there might be dangers or traps. "

Chen Yuping said calmly. His mysterious heart felt that the Yin Qi here was very heavy, and there was an ominous feeling.

"You are right. Once there are dangers or traps, it will take some time."

Wan Baoguang's smile disappeared as he pondered.

Right now, they had found another treasure ground. But what lay ahead was unknown. It might be filled with danger and it would take a long time. By then, when Elder Kun led the others here, they would be trapped and could only wait for death.

But, they had obtained quite a lot of benefits earlier and were sure that there must be other treasures here. Now that he realized that this pagoda was filled with such thoughts, he found it hard to give it up.

"There's still some time before half a cup of tea's time is up. Why don't we go in and take a look? If there's any difficulty, we can stop exploring."

The twin sisters said.

"Let's take a look first."

The short middle-aged man also wanted to go in and take a look.

"Alright then."

Wan Baoguang also made a decision.

Chen Yu and the man in the bamboo hat didn't think much of it.

There was no restriction on the pagoda's door, so one could enter after pushing it open.

The moment the group walked in, they felt a dense Yin Qi all around them.

The interior of the pagoda was pitch black and gloomy. Everyone here was at the Origin Realm. Even in the dark, they could see everything clearly within a short distance.

"Nothing?"

The twins muttered.

The first floor of the Evil Yin Tower was completely empty.

Following that, the group arrived at the second floor. The atmosphere was even more sinister, and their bodies couldn't help but shiver.

There was still nothing on the second floor.

They didn't encounter any obstructions along the way and soon arrived at the eighth level.

"What the hell is this place? It can't be that there's nothing here, right?"

The short middle-aged man couldn't help but curse.

Everyone was mentally prepared as they charged into the Evil Yin Tower. In the end, they didn't see any treasures, not even a single enemy. It was extremely boring.

"This is the last floor. If there's still nothing, let's retreat."

Wan Baoguang was rather calm.

Comparatively speaking, this exploration didn't yield much. After all, there might be other treasures hidden in this ruin. They didn't have the time to explore and could only leave.

The door to the ninth floor was closed. There were ancient runes engraved on it, crisscrossing each other, and there were eighteen grooves on it.

"We need an array to open this door?"

Wan Baoguang was confused.

"If that's the case, there must be treasures inside."

The twin sisters were a little excited.

After all, the first eight floors had no obstructions. Only the ninth floor required an array to open.

"Let's try!"

Wan Baoguang took out eighteen mid grade primal stones and embedded them.

An array left behind by an Origin Realm cultivator definitely couldn't be activated with low grade primal stones.

Wan Baoguang took out eighteen mid grade primal stones himself. If they found any treasures, he would have a reason to take it.

As the mid grade primal stones were inserted, the runes on the stone door slowly lit up.

Boom!

The stone door opened, and a wave of chilling Yin qi rushed out. Everyone couldn't help but shiver as they felt their flesh being corroded by the Yin qi.

The ninth floor was different from the first eight floors. It had some simple decorations.

But this wasn't the main point. Everyone's eyes were focused on a skeleton in the center.

The skeleton was deathly still, but it was surrounded by Yin qi.

"Could this person be the Evil Yin Ancestor?"

Everyone carried their suspicions and walked in.

Since the Evil Yin Ancestor died here, they might be able to find something good here.

"He has been dead for so long, but his corpse is still emitting such a powerful aura. Could the Evil Yin Ancestor be on the verge of breaking through to the Void Sea Realm?"

The twin sisters approached the skeleton and felt that it was hard to resist the Yin qi.

But all of a sudden, the skeleton shattered with a cracking sound, turned into ashes, and vanished without a trace.

But a lump of black fog appeared on the ground, emitting a Yin qi that made one's heart palpitate. The twin sisters' hair stood on end as their faces turned pale. They felt an unprecedented danger.

"What happened?"

Everyone couldn't help but ask and looked over.

Right at this moment, the door of the ninth floor closed by itself with a 'hong' sound.

At the same time, the surroundings of the ninth floor suddenly flickered with a complicated array pattern, and a powerful force surged in the surroundings.

Outside the Evil Yin Pagoda, the Yin qi gathered and continuously flowed into the ninth floor.

Suddenly, a hoarse laughter echoed in the space of this floor, "Hehehe, you want to take the Yin Sifting Sect's treasures? In your dreams. Die here!"

Everyone's heart skipped a beat. They thought that the Evil Yin Ancestor was still alive.

But that was impossible. Everyone here was at the Origin Realm and had vast knowledge. They could guess that this was a special recording method. It was probably set up in an array, and the moment the array was activated, the sound would be heard.

"Not good, we've been tricked. This is a trap set up by the Evil Yin Ancestor. He's probably preparing it for the Yin Sifting Sect's enemies."

As an old man, Wan Baoguang had guessed something from the previous sentence.

Maybe the Evil Yin Ancestor was unwilling to accept the fact that the Yin Sifting Sect was annihilated. So, he set up this method in his own place to kill the enemies who wanted to take the treasures.

Hu!

The grayish-black mist in front of the twins suddenly moved. It crashed into the twins and drilled into their bodies.

Inside the pagoda, the screams of the twins could be heard.

Everyone felt their hairs stand on end when they saw this.

"Evil qi invasion. This should be the 'Yin essence qi' left behind by the Evil Yin Ancestor. It contains his anger and unwillingness. I'm afraid the twins will no longer be themselves."

Wan Baoguang's eyes turned serious.

Just as he expected, the twins' screams gradually stopped. They suddenly raised their heads. Their faces were pale and their eyes were grey. Their bodies were emitting evil qi.

"Die, all of you must die!"

The two of them shouted at the same time. Their voices overlapped, making it even more terrifying.

Chi!

The red clothed sister rushed towards the bamboo hat man and stabbed out a black flaming sword pillar.

Peng!

The bamboo hat man swept out a green wind sword light. When the two clashed, his own sword light was easily penetrated by the black sword pillar.

The bamboo hat man knew something was wrong. He waved his artifact sword and used sword qi to defend himself.

"Her strength has increased."

The bamboo hat man was at the middle stage of the Origin Realm, but he was repelled by the red clothed sister who was at the peak of the initial stage of the Origin Realm.

The blue clothed sister attacked the short man.

Chi!

Similarly, she stabbed out with her sword. A black water light sword shadow flew out.

The short man was only at the initial stage of the Origin Realm. He could feel the strength of this attack and knew that he wouldn't be able to block it. He immediately took out a bronze token and activated it. An ancient bronze light shield extended out from the bronze token.

Peng!

The sword shadow swept across and clashed with the ancient bronze light shield. After a moment of stalemate, the ancient bronze light shield was actually sliced into two.

The blue clothed sister slashed again. The short man had no more moves left and was sliced into two by the sword shadow. He was dead.

"Under the influence of the evil qi, their strength has increased."

Wan Baoguang immediately said.

What's more, the evil qi in the ninth floor was getting denser due to the array. The strength of the two of them would continue to increase.

Peng!

Chen Yu slashed at the door. However, the door didn't budge an inch. His strength was absorbed by the array.

"I can't get out … …" Chen Yu said.

What's more, the array was engraved within the walls and was integrated with the building. Even Chen Yu's mysterious ancient token couldn't do anything.

Wan Baoguang's expression turned ugly. The ruins had been around for too long. The primeval stones in the array had long been depleted. The formation inside was actually activated by the eighteen mid-grade Primordial Stones he had just used.

He couldn't be blamed. It was all a trick of the Evildoer.

"Quickly help me kill her. Otherwise, the strength of these two sisters will only get stronger under the effects of the array."

Wan Baoguang shouted at Chen Yu.

Swish!

Chen Yu returned and brandished the Giant Ruler Sword. He slashed out a tyrannical black sword wave.

The blue clothed sister was originally weaker and easier to deal with.

Outside the ruins …

The battle between the six Origin Realm experts was grand. It caused the waves to rumble and shook the surroundings.

Ren Bing reached out her arm and extended a black glowing claw. She grabbed the lifeless Elder Kun.

With the five of them working together, they easily killed the heavily injured Elder Kun.

"Let's go in."

Ren Bing didn't want to wait any longer.

He was worried that the battle here had already alerted the people inside the ruins.

"We don't have to care about the others. But Chen Yu must die."

Ren Bing reminded.

Swish — —

The five of them blasted through the ruins and entered the cave.
