Chapter 640

Cui Yan'er had previously invited Chen Yu to join the Heavenly Jade Sect and the Cui clan's faction out of goodwill, lest Chen Yu be harmed by You Lie.

Unexpectedly, Chen Yu rejected Cui Yan'er in front of countless outstanding talents, and said that he would enter the Black Demon Valley and become Cui Yan'er's enemy.

Now, Cui Yan'er wanted to let Chen Yu know the consequences of standing on the opposite side of her.

"You Lie?"

After Cui Yan'er moved, she found that You Lie had also flown out.

"You Lie and this kid have a grudge, but they are both participating in the Black Demon Valley test, and You Lie can't attack Chen Yu."

Cui Yan'er's thoughts turned.

Could You Lie's target be her?

But since she had decided to attack, Cui Yan'er would not shrink back. She was not afraid of You Lie.

The simultaneous appearance of the geniuses of the two great royal clans instantly ignited the atmosphere. Even the several elders at the top of the Heaven Connecting Peak could not help but look over.

Thump! Thump!

Cui Yan'er and You Lie had reached the 95th step of the Stairway to Heaven at the same time!

"The 95th step!"

"They have actually reached the 95th step. As expected of the royal clans. How terrifying are their talents!"

"I heard that You Lie and Cui Yan'er are arch-enemies. I wonder who is stronger!"

The discussion below was several times noisier than when Chen Yu defeated Chang Yanping.

Reaching the 05th step was considered to have passed the first test.

But these two had directly flown to the 95th step. The final step they could reach was definitely very high.

"Reaching the 35th step means that one has the qualification to enter the inner valley. I wonder if You Lie of the You clan has any hope of reaching this height!"

The pointy-mouthed elder stared at You Lie on the 95th step with a face full of admiration.

Under normal circumstances, anyone who entered the Black Demon Valley would start from the outer valley and then ascend to the inner valley.

And this rule was a privilege given to those extremely talented people.

Those who could reach the 35th step had the possibility of reaching the Star Condensation realm and had the qualification to be titled a king.

It was only right to give these geniuses a higher starting point.

However, after this rule was established, not many people could achieve it. Every time a disciple was recruited, only two or three people could reach the 35th step.

As for the end of the Stairway to Heaven, the 655th step, it was almost impossible for anyone to complete it.

At the top of the Skypiercing Peak, there were powerful elders from two three-star factions overseeing it. Even an ordinary Void Sea Realm would find it hard to resist that terrifying aura, let alone the suppression of the array formation's gravity.

This setting was mainly to establish the might of the Sect, to let the participating disciples deeply feel the strength of the Sect's Elders, to understand that there was an insurmountable gap between them, and to show the strength of the Sect.

"Cui Yaner, what are you doing here?"

You Lie looked at Cui Yaner, who was not far away, and frowned.

As far as You Lie was concerned, he'd stepped foot onto Ascension Peak first before Cui Yan 'er flew out. Looks like she's come to stop me!

"Why do you care what I'm doing here?"

Cui Yaner snorted coldly.

"Since you're in such a hurry, then come!"

You Lie's eyes turned cold as he waved his hand.

Instantly, the You Clan members below all flew up the Sky Ascension Stairs. Every single one of them was at the late stage of the Origin Realm or even at the peak of the Origin Realm. All of them leaped up to the 80th step.

This scene was extremely spectacular, and it also showed the might of the King Clans!

If anyone went against You Lie, they would have to face the combined attacks of so many people. Even if they showed mercy, they might still perish.

But the people standing against You Lie weren't easy to deal with either.

"Yaner, we're here to help you!"

On the other side, Cui Ming led the rest of the Cui Clan members up the Sky Ascension Stairs.

Instantly, the Sky Ascension Stairs was filled with experts.

The atmosphere between the two parties was extremely tense!

No one would have expected that the one who triggered the conflict between the two King Clans would be Chen Yu. In fact, even Chen Yu didn't expect it.

Yang Fenghou was still on the 97nd step. After Chang Yanping was blasted off the Sky Ascension Stairs by Chen Yu, he was originally prepared to continue climbing.

But at this moment, he was suddenly surrounded by dozens of Origin Realm experts. They were all prodigies of the You Clan, and opposite him were dozens of prodigies of the Cui Clan.

That tense atmosphere and the terrifying pressure from the Heaven and Earth made Yang Fenghou breathless.

"Forget it, I'll just go down!"

Yang Fenghou immediately walked down to avoid getting involved in the battle between the two King Clans.

Boom!

A member of the You Clan made the first move. The surrounding energy surged, and a green flaming palm suddenly flew out towards the You Clan.

Yang Fenghou instantly sped up and ran down the Sky Ascension Stairs.

Boom!

In the next moment, a series of shocking explosions came from behind. Almost everyone from the You Clan and the Cui Clan made their moves. Between the two parties, an earth-shattering battle unfolded.

One had to know that the Cui Clan and the You Clan each sent over 85 to 95 people to participate in the assessment.

With such a large number of Origin Realm experts, they were all fighting on the Sky Ascension Stairs.

Of course, prodigies like Cui Yaner, Cui Ming, and You Lie were all protected by others in the innermost area, where they were the safest.

At the start of the battle, seven to eight people from the two King Clans were blasted off.

Everyone was on the Sky Ascension Stairs and had limited space. Due to the pressure from the Heaven and Earth, it wasn't easy to dodge. They could only take damage from each other.

"The King Clans' foundation is indeed extraordinary. But they are too bored. They actually came here to fight."

Chen Yu glanced behind him.

He didn't bother much and climbed up step by step.

No matter how intense the battle behind him was, it had nothing to do with him.

Thud! Thud!

Chen Yu activated the Secret Pattern Devil Body. His body was pitch black as he climbed up step by step.

Soon, Chen Yu reached the 05th step.

At this point, Chen Yu had passed the first assessment of the Black Demon Valley.

But Chen Yu felt that the Heaven and Earth pressure he endured wasn't too great.

"I wonder what my limit is?" Chen Yu was a little curious as he continued to climb up.

Below, the pointy-mouthed elder saw Yang Fenghou running down and couldn't help but shake his head. "Sigh, Yang Fenghou's luck isn't that good."

But Yang Fenghou still had hope. As long as he recovered within a month, he could still climb the Sky Ascension Stairs. Passing the 05th step wouldn't be a problem.

"Eh? That kid reached the 05th step! "

The pointy-mouthed elder's gaze was originally attracted by the fight between the two King Clans, but a black-clothed figure suddenly appeared above and attracted his attention.

Taking a closer look, it was Chen Yu, and he had already reached the 05th step!

"This kid's luck is really good!"

The pointy-mouthed elder couldn't help but laugh.

Yang Fenghou's position was near the You Clan. He was afraid of getting involved in the fight between the King Clans and could only come down.

Chen Yu's position was higher and wouldn't be involved. Moreover, the two prodigies of the King Clans were fighting and didn't even bother about Chen Yu.

"He is still going up?"

The pointy-mouthed elder revealed a look of surprise.

He originally thought that Chen Yu would immediately come down after reaching the 05th step. Unexpectedly, Chen Yu was ambitious and dared to continue rushing up.

"The 00th step, this kid is not bad!"

The pointy-mouthed elder's surprise turned into surprise.

"The 04th step!"

The pointy-mouthed elder's mouth slightly opened.

It wasn't rare for someone to reach the 04th step. But for someone at the late stage of the Origin Realm to reach the 04th step, that was rare. Only the prodigies of some great clans could possibly do it.

The pointy-mouthed elder didn't expect that the person recommended by Old Devil Yang's lousy clan could actually reach this step.

Maybe it was because Chen Yu was recommended by Old Devil Yang that the pointy-mouthed elder looked down on Chen Yu.

"The 15th step!"

The pointy-mouthed elder took a slight breath.

The 05th step was considered to have passed the first test. Reaching the 15th step would be considered outstanding.

Normally, those with decent strength in the late stage of the Origin Realm would be able to reach the 05th step.

But to reach the 15th step, one had to be one of the strongest peak stage of the Origin Realm.

"Eh! Someone reached the 15th step! "

"Didn't that kid defeat Chang Yanping in a single move?"

"Chang Yanping's strength isn't bad. It isn't surprising that that kid could defeat Chang Yanping and reach the 15th step without anyone interfering."

The crowd started to discuss.

Previously, they were discussing the fight between the two prodigies of the King Clans. Right now, many of the topics had shifted to Chen Yu.

"The 17nd step!"

"The 10th step!"

More and more people were attracted by Chen Yu's figure.

The fight between the two prodigies of the King Clans was so intense and spectacular. It wasn't an easy task to shift their focus.

"The 11th step!"

"The 12th step!"

"The 13th step!"

Chen Yu's advancing speed was neither fast nor slow. Every step was firm and steady.

"At this position, the pressure is more like it."

Chen Yu felt the immense pressure on his body and felt a little heavy.

Soon, he reached the 14th step.

Every ten steps was a threshold. The pressure on the Sky Ascension Stairs would suddenly increase by a lot.

Meanwhile, at this moment, Chen Yu had arrived at the 14th step.

"I think this kid should stop at the 14th step!"

"That's right. Without the strength of a half-step Empty Sea Realm, it will be hard to reach the 25th step!"

But in the next moment, the people who said these words were dumbfounded.

Chen Yu's speed didn't decrease. In an instant, he reached the 25th step. His body swayed slightly before he completely stabilized himself.

The originally lively Sky Ascension Peak suddenly fell silent for a moment. Then, there was a burst of noise.

"The 25th step!"

"Not simple. Who the hell is this kid?"

"This is a step that only a half-step Empty Sea Realm can touch. This kid wouldn't be hiding his strength, right?"

The voices below were shocked, curious, and doubtful.

And the two King Clans that were fighting also gradually stopped fighting. They stared at Chen Yu who was above the 25th step.

"This kid actually dares to stand at such a high place and let me, You Lie, look up to him?"

When You Lie saw Chen Yu's figure, his expression became gloomy and angry.

His goal of stepping on the Sky Ascension Stairs this time was to completely trample on Chen Yu and make the other party submit under his feet. How could he tolerate Chen Yu climbing above his head?

"This person can actually reach the 25th step?"

Cui Yan 'er and Cui Ming were also very surprised. Previously, they only knew that Chen Yu made You Lie suffer a loss. They thought that Chen Yu was a stubborn person who was not afraid of anything and did not have much strength.

Now, it seemed that they had misjudged.

"Yan 'er, I've said it before. If I meet this person in the assessment, I'll deal with him."

Cui Ming's calm expression revealed a hint of a smile. He seemed to be interested.

"Cui Yan 'er, let's stop for now. This young master doesn't like to be a supporting role for others."

You Lie shouted coldly.

"That's exactly what I mean!"

Cui Yan 'er raised her chin.

She was a confident and proud woman. She hoped that she was the most eye-catching and shining. She hated being a supporting role for others even more!

The two King Clans stopped fighting!

Their eyes were all looking at Chen Yu who was above the 25th step!
