Volume 1, Chapter 17 – The Feminization Stops? Impossible!
Huang Qi’s heart clenched as he woke up, fully prepared for the worst—after all, he was certain that sleeping would trigger his feminization. But when he looked at his left arm, he froze.
There was no change.
The arm was still covered in coarse hair, the skin rough, the muscles faintly visible beneath—as sturdy and “masculine” as ever.
“Am I seeing things? I didn’t feminize last night?”
This unexpected reprieve felt like a gift from the heavens. With his slender left hand, he awkwardly lifted his right arm, examining it closely. That unattractively rugged limb had never looked so good to him!
“Wait… what if it feminized somewhere else?”
Still uneasy, Huang Qi quickly inspected the rest of his body. Only after confirming that nothing had changed did he finally relax.
“But why didn’t I feminize this time?”
He began searching for an explanation.
“Did the mask’s effect wear off?”
The thought struck him like lightning. Ever since putting on the Human Skin Mask, sleep had always triggered feminization—that much was certain.
“Hah! That must be it!”
The more he thought about it, the more sense it made. A triumphant laugh burst from his lips.
“Is that all you’ve got, you damn mask? I overestimated you! Come on, keep feminizing me! Oh, you can’t anymore, can you?”
He mocked it relentlessly, venting all the frustration he’d bottled up these past days.
Once the catharsis passed, Huang Qi felt lighter than air. As long as he didn’t turn into a woman, most of his worries vanished.
Suddenly, the future seemed bright. He got up to prepare dinner, enjoying the most carefree afternoon he’d had in weeks. The mismatched arms? A trivial issue now.
That night, convinced the mask’s effect had faded, Huang Qi surrendered to sleep without resistance—and promptly dreamed again of being little Cheng Hongling.
Meanwhile, in the Honghua Sect…
Huang Qi’s dream-body was cradled in his “father’s” arms as his “mother”, Jiang Linian, conversed with Xu Mei.
“Sister Jiang, if I may ask… why do you and your daughter both wear veils?”
Xu Mei’s sudden question caught Jiang Linian off guard.

“Ah—?”
“Ah, if it’s inconvenient, forget I asked.”
Xu Mei quickly backpedaled.
“No, it’s fine.” Jiang Linian composed herself. “I wear mine to hide imperfections—a red birthmark on my face. My daughter wears hers for protection. With so few women in the mortal world now, desperate men resort to kidnapping to continue their bloodlines. Any girl with even slight beauty must take precautions.”
She spoke frankly; within the immortal sect, safety was assured.
“I see!” Xu Mei nodded sympathetically. “Rest easy. No such dangers exist here. Your daughter needn’t veil herself anymore.”
“Mm.”
Trusting her, Jiang Linian removed the child’s face covering.
Xu Mei stared for a long moment before exclaiming, “Now I understand your caution! She’s not just beautiful—even at three, she carries an innate grace. What will she become when grown?”
“You flatter us, Senior Sister Xu.”
Jiang Linian smiled modestly.
As the group ascended the mountain, the child drew admiring gazes despite the sect’s many female disciples.
Soon, they reached a side hall. Xu Mei called out respectfully, “Sect Leader Qin! I’ve brought someone important!”
“Ah, Elder Xu. Enter.”
An elderly voice answered, and the doors swung open.
Inside awaited a clean-shaven old man—his robes immaculate, skin unlined, hair jet-black. Few would guess he was past eighty.
But Huang Qi knew.
“Sect Leader, today’s examination revealed an extraordinary talent. I’ve brought her for your appraisal.”
Xu Mei bowed.
“Elder Xu… another ‘genius’?”
Qin’s lips twitched with amusement. “Every test yields one for you—from Ruan Lingyu to Su Qingying. Talented, yes, but hardly prodigies.”

Xu Mei flushed but stood her ground. “This one’s different. See for yourself.”
“Oh?”
Still smiling, Qin pressed two fingers to the child’s wrist.
Huang Qi shuddered—this time, he felt it. A warmth flowed into the arm.
Then Qin’s expression shifted. All levity vanished.
Cheng Yuan and his wife exchanged nervous glances. Was Xu Mei truly prone to exaggeration?
“Hah… hahaha!”
Qin suddenly roared with laughter. “To think our humble Huangtian Commandry could produce such a gem! Has heaven finally favored the Honghua Sect?”
The others relaxed.
“Wuuu… After all these years… our time has come!”
To their embarrassment, Qin burst into tears.
The child in Cheng Yuan’s arms trembled—terrified by the old man’s outburst.
“Sit, everyone! Forgive my lapse.”
Collecting himself, Qin ushered them to seats and personally served tea.
“Sect Leader, allow me—”
“No. You’ve earned this honor.”
Xu Mei’s cheeks pinked with pride.
“I am Qin Quan, leader of the Honghua Sect. May I know your names?”
“Cheng Yuan, a merchant from the commandry capital. This is my wife Jiang Linian and daughter Cheng Hongling.”
Cheng Yuan bowed.
“Brother Cheng! Which cultivation lineage does your family hail from?”

“Cultivators? None! We’ve been merchants and farmers for generations.”
“And your lady?”
Jiang Linian shook her head. “The same.”
“Then this child is heaven-sent! No immortal bloodline, yet such talent!”
Qin marveled.
“You overpraise her.”
“Not at all. Her potential rivals the elite disciples of major sects.”
“Truly?”
Cheng Yuan could scarcely believe it—he, once expelled from this very sect.
“We’ll devote all resources to her training.”
“Good! In a few years, I’ll send her to you.”
“Why wait? She can study here—we have tutors. Safer than the capital too.”
“But she’s only three! She can’t care for herself.”
“Your wife may reside here as her guardian.”
Xu Mei’s eyes widened. Sect residency permits were worth ten thousand taels.
“Perfect!”
Cheng Yuan instantly agreed—this was the opportunity he’d sought for years.
“Husband, what about you?”
Jiang Linian gripped his sleeve.
“Me? No kidnapper wants a grown man.”
He chuckled.

Undeterred, she turned to Qin. “Could my husband stay too?”
“Alas, no. As an outer disciple initially, your daughter cannot bring family or servants. Permitting you already bends our rules.”
“It’s fine, wife. Don’t trouble Sect Leader Qin.”
Jiang Linian reluctantly yielded.
“Elder Xu, you’ll oversee her training personally. Spare no expense—within a decade, I want a peerless talent!”
Qin declared solemnly.
Back in the mortal world…
Huang Qi awoke to shouting.
“Mother’s voice?”
He listened closely. The argument grew clearer—one voice was definitely Li Fen’s.
“Nonsense… not a man…”
“She… won’t speak… woman… rough hands…”
Unable to make sense of it, Huang Qi threw off the blankets—then froze.
His left hand felt… wrong.
“Damn it. You didn’t let me off.”
Pushing up his sleeve, he groaned. The arm had fully feminized overnight—pale, smooth, utterly unlike its rugged counterpart.
Now, everything above his chest was unmistakably female.
“No room for error now.”
Heart heavy but undeterred, he dressed and stormed outside—ready to confront whoever dared harass his mother.
