Volume 1, Chapter 21 – The Feminization Always Beats Me (Part 2)
No idea how much time had passed before Huang Qi regained his vision. He found himself back in the familiar surroundings of the Honghua Sect—and once again, he had become that little girl, Cheng Hongling.
‘Why? Why couldn’t I hold on just a little longer? Even fifteen more minutes would’ve been enough! Now, all my efforts have gone to waste!’
Huang Qi wanted to cry but had no tears left. He cursed himself for being useless, deserving of turning into this half-man, half-woman monstrosity.
‘Bro—no, Sister Mask, can you hear me? Please, go easy on me this time! If you must feminize me, start from the bottom! Just don’t go above the thighs! I don’t care if they look like a woman’s legs—hell, even dog legs would be fine!’
Out of options, Huang Qi resorted to desperate measures, pleading inwardly. But alas, there was no response.
At that moment, his current body was being carried by his “father”, following behind his mother and Xu Mei. Judging by the direction, they were heading toward the back mountains.
Huang Qi was too preoccupied with worrying about his real body to pay attention to what the adults were discussing.
Before long, they arrived at the Orchid Pavilion in the back mountains.
Huang Qi finally snapped back to reality—this was the Honghua Sect’s female disciples’ living quarters. Before being expelled, he and his fellow male disciples had often stood on higher ground, peering over and fantasizing about what it was like inside.
Not that he was some pervert—it was just human nature to be drawn to the opposite sex.
“Junior Brother Cheng, the Orchid Pavilion is where our female disciples reside. It wouldn’t be appropriate for you to enter, so please wait here patiently!”
Xu Mei explained politely.
“Husband, wait here for a bit. I’ll come out once I’ve picked our lodgings.”
Jiang Linian reassured him gently.
“No need to worry. Since I’ve got nothing better to do, I might as well go back and fetch your belongings. Just tell me what you need.”
Cheng Yuan suggested.
“That’s too much trouble. You must be tired today. Why don’t we go back together later and return tomorrow?”
Jiang Linian couldn’t bear to make her husband travel back and forth.
“It’s fine. Now that you’re here, you should stay. I’d feel better that way.”

Cheng Yuan, as always, was firm in his decisions.
“Junior Brother Cheng, you truly are a responsible husband and father!”
Xu Mei praised sincerely.
With that, Cheng Yuan handed his daughter to his wife and prepared to leave alone to gather their things.
“Wait! Junior Brother Cheng, even though it’s an official road, you shouldn’t take it lightly traveling alone. Take this protective talisman.”
Xu Mei pulled out a talisman from her robes and handed it to Cheng Yuan. The pouch it was wrapped in was clearly different from ordinary protective talismans.
“This… is a Monarch-grade talisman?!”
Cheng Yuan was stunned at the sight.
Huang Qi was equally shocked. Protective talismans were ranked by strength into five tiers: Heaven, Earth, Monarch, Kin, and Master. Commoners could only buy the lowest-grade Master talismans. A Monarch-grade talisman like this—there probably weren’t even ten in the entire Honghua Sect. This showed just how much Xu Mei valued his current dream-body.
“Senior Sister Xu, I can’t accept this! Monarch-grade talismans are priceless. Every moment of use depletes its power. How can you just give it away?”
Cheng Yuan was both awed and apprehensive.
“It’s fine, Junior Brother Cheng. Take it. I believe in my disciple.”
Xu Mei forcibly pressed the talisman into Cheng Yuan’s hands before turning to pat Huang Qi’s small head.
“With her here, within ten years, our Honghua Sect will have an endless supply of Monarch-grade talismans.”
Huang Qi’s heart churned with mixed emotions upon hearing this. There was a twinge of jealousy—after all, his own master had never held him in such high regard. But more than that, he felt pity. To place the fate of an entire sect on the shoulders of a little girl—how heavy must that burden be?
“Don’t worry, Senior Sister. My daughter won’t disappoint you!”
Cheng Yuan also stepped forward to pat his daughter’s head. Whether or not the little girl could understand, he solemnly instructed, “Did you hear that? You mustn’t let your master down in the future!”
“Mhm!”

Huang Qi’s body responded naively.
After that, Cheng Yuan tucked the talisman away and left to fetch his wife and daughter’s belongings.
Xu Mei led the mother and daughter into the Orchid Pavilion—a paradise men could only dream of.
Through his dream-body’s eyes, Huang Qi curiously surveyed the surroundings. Compared to the male living quarters he was used to, this place was undeniably different. Not only was the environment cleaner, but the air itself was sweet, filled with the fragrance of orchids and a hint of cosmetics. There were no unpleasant odors to be found.
Xu Mei dutifully explained the layout of the Orchid Pavilion—which cabins were occupied, which were vacant, which had easy access to water, which were more spacious, and so on. Anyone listening might’ve mistaken her for hosting some high-ranking dignitary from the Immortal Alliance.
After much deliberation, Jiang Linian finally settled on a small cabin beside a bamboo grove—it was quiet and had convenient access to water.
Once the lodging was chosen, Jiang Linian set her daughter down and began cleaning.
“I’ll call my disciples over to help you.”
Xu Mei offered.
“No, no! I couldn’t possibly trouble them!”
Jiang Linian hastily declined.
“It’s no trouble. We’re all family now. Besides, children need training—how else can they cultivate immortality?”
Without waiting for further objections, Xu Mei went to gather her disciples.
Before long, Huang Qi saw Xu Mei return with over twenty young girls. None were very old—the eldest were around eleven or twelve, while the youngest were only six or seven.
Huang Qi understood why. Based on the dream’s timeline, Xu Mei was likely in her thirties at this point, newly appointed as an elder. These were probably her first batch of disciples, hence their young age.
“Everyone, quiet. Let me introduce you—this little girl is Cheng Hongling, my newest disciple. From now on, she’ll be your junior sister.”
Xu Mei introduced her first before adding, almost as an afterthought, “And she may very well be the last disciple I ever take.”
Indeed, disciples were about quality, not quantity. Nurturing a single genius like this would be more than enough for her. There was no need to split her focus further.

The young girls below had no idea how weighty those words were. They simply stared curiously at the toddling little Cheng Hongling.
Huang Qi’s dream-body was frightened by the attention and stumbled into her mother’s arms.
“Alright, Sister-in-law, since you’ll be staying here, let me introduce my disciples to you as well.”
Xu Mei chuckled before turning to Jiang Linian.
“The one with the ponytail and a small mole on her nose is my eldest disciple, Ruan Lingyu…”
‘Ruan Lingyu?!’
The moment Huang Qi heard that name, his gaze snapped toward her. Sure enough, it was Ruan Lingyu at eleven or twelve years old—far more youthful than now, but still recognizable by her signature high ponytail and beauty mark.
“This is my second disciple, Yun Fei… my fifth disciple, Shen Yuan… my seventh disciple, Miao Xiang… my ninth disciple, Su Qingying…”
Xu Mei introduced them one by one, carefully describing each girl’s distinguishing features.
Huang Qi instinctively memorized them as she spoke.
“Since Cheng Hongling is joining now, she’ll be the twenty-second disciple.”
After the introductions, Xu Mei added with a smile.
‘Twenty-two? That number doesn’t sound very auspicious…’
Huang Qi was taken aback, but then he remembered—this was just a dream. Why overthink it?
The group of girls then helped Jiang Linian clean the cabin. Being children of an immortal sect, they were not only well-behaved but also disciplined—no crying or fussing to be seen.
Once the cleaning was done, the girls dispersed, each returning to their own quarters.
“As your master, I don’t have much to give you, so take this comb.”
Xu Mei suddenly pulled a wooden comb from her sleeve and handed it to Huang Qi’s borrowed body.

“Senior Sister Xu, we can’t possibly accept this! If anything, we should be giving gifts to you!”
Jiang Linian was flustered by the gesture.
“It’s fine. A master ought to give their disciple a welcoming gift. This comb is called the ‘Clarity Comb’. It enhances spiritual awareness, allowing your daughter to develop her intellect early and remain mentally refreshed at all times. She won’t even need to sleep at night, giving her more time to cultivate. It also has an external effect—it makes the user’s hair glossy and jet-black. I imagine every girl would love that, no?”
Xu Mei explained nonchalantly.
‘No need for sleep?!’
Huang Qi’s eyes gleamed with greed at those words. No sleep meant no dreams. If he had this comb, he could finally suppress that damned feminizing mask!
The more he thought about it, the more excited he became—until reality crashed down on him.
‘What am I thinking? This is just a dream! There’s no way something this miraculous exists in reality!’
“This comb is far too extraordinary. We truly can’t accept it.”
Jiang Linian was startled. Just hearing its effects told her this was no ordinary item.
“Sister-in-law, you must understand—I’m not just doing this for her. I’m doing it for the Honghua Sect.”
Xu Mei’s expression turned solemn.
Realizing she couldn’t refuse, Jiang Linian accepted it with great reverence.
“This comb was passed down to me by my master. From now on, you are my personal disciple.”
Xu Mei stared into Huang Qi’s borrowed eyes, her voice firm with unwavering resolve—the kind that came from betting everything on a single throw.
Huang Qi woke from the dream. The room was pitch black, but he couldn’t wait to light the oil lamp. Immediately, his hands shot toward his chest, searching frantically.
