Volume 4, Chapter 235 – I’m Really Not Acting, Whoever Acts Is a Dog
Qi Huang wasn’t particularly outstanding in any way, except for being kind-hearted and always eager to help. For instance, she’d buy houses for the entire village or rescue stray cats she happened upon. Now that someone had made such a request, she could only reluctantly oblige.
Qi Huang eagerly stepped forward. Truthfully, she was also curious about how one could possibly shove a forty-foot-long blade into someone’s mouth.
“What are you doing?”
Xia Wei hurriedly blocked her path.
“Didn’t he want to see how I’d shove that giant blade into his mouth? I have to demonstrate it for him!”
Qi Huang replied as if it were the most natural thing in the world.
“Demonstrate? You think this is some kind of game? He’s trying to kill you, can’t you see that? Hurry up and leave! I’ll hold him off!”
Xia Wei urged anxiously.
“I’ll leave, but only after the demonstration! Maybe he’ll be so happy he’ll let us go, who knows?”
Qi Huang speculated with an “innocent” expression.
“Ah, yes, yes! Let him demonstrate! As long as he can shove that giant blade into my mouth, I’d have no choice but to let you all go!”
Jin Biao, oblivious to his impending doom, chimed in.
“Everyone heard that—he’s the one who asked for it!”
Qi Huang, adhering to the principle of “settle terms beforehand to avoid disputes later”, first issued a disclaimer.
“Yes, yes, I said it! If you can shove this giant blade into my mouth, I’ll let you go. But you only get one chance. If you fail, I’ll shove the hilt of this blade into your female bodyguard’s mouth instead.”
Jin Biao leered, finding amusement in the situation. Completing his mission while bantering was a win-win, it added a little spice to his otherwise dull life.
“Shameless bastard!”

Xia Wei cursed in fury.
“Alright then, open your mouth wide. I’m about to begin!”
Qi Huang exhaled softly, then casually unleashed her divine sense, suppressing Jin Biao with less than a tenth of her power. After all, this guy’s physical strength barely reached the Unity Realm of a cultivator. Any more force, and he’d be crushed into paste, making it impossible to even identify his mouth afterward.
Jin Biao opened his mouth, intending to say something, but the next moment, he realized in horror that he couldn’t move. Not just his limbs, even his eyelids were frozen in place.
“What the hell is happening?!”
Panicking internally, he struggled with all his might.
Qi Huang wore a calm smile as she prepared to step forward and demonstrate the art of “disarming an opponent bare-handed”.
“Don’t go over there! Get out of here! Do you have a death wish?!”
Unexpectedly, Xia Wei still refused to let her pass, frantically blocking her path.
“Interrupting my moment of glory comes at a price!”
Qi Huang grumbled inwardly. Without wasting words, she swiftly extended her small hand and gave Xia Wei’s plump, peach-like rear a firm squeeze. The springy, soft sensation nearly sent her straight to heaven.
“Ah—!”
Xia Wei shrieked, leaping back as if electrocuted. Glaring at Qi Huang with a mix of fury and embarrassment, she stammered, “You—You filthy… man! Perverted scum! Even at death’s door, your mind is so… so vile! Your actions so… so depraved! Fine, go die then!”
“Finally, no more interruptions!”
Qi Huang remained unfazed, strolling leisurely toward Jin Biao. After all, she was a woman now, no psychological burden, no responsibility to bear!
Seeing the situation take a dire turn, Jin Biao mustered every ounce of strength to struggle, yet his body remained immobile, as if pressed down by a ghost. Fear finally set in, cold sweat rapidly beading on his forehead.
“Don’t go over there!”

Despite her anger, Xia Wei couldn’t bring herself to be completely heartless. She tried to stop Qi Huang again but hesitated, fearing another inexplicable violation of her personal space.
Qi Huang ignored her, calmly advancing toward Jin Biao.
“Why can’t I move?! What kind of sorcery is this?! Stay away from me!”
Jin Biao, now thoroughly cowed, began to beg. Strangely, his mouth could still move.
“Captain Jin’s acting skills are pretty convincing.”
Someone nearby whispered.
“Acting?! Acting your mother’s dead skull! Look at the sweat on my forehead! Does this look like acting to you?!”
Jin Biao roared, but no one believed him.
“Don’t go over there!”
Xia Wei cried out in terror, she didn’t believe it either.
“Stay away! I was wrong!”
Jin Biao continued to plead.
“Don’t go! I admit defeat, alright?!”
Xia Wei also began to beg.
The two of them started competing in their wails of desperation.
Qi Huang struggled to keep a straight face, her facial muscles twitching from suppressed laughter. Thankfully, her hood concealed her expression. She leisurely walked up to Jin Biao and, with great effort, wrested the giant blade from his grip.
“Did you dig this out of your own coffin? A blade this huge, aren’t your arms tired from lugging it around?”

Qi Huang grumbled as she struggled to hold the massive weapon. Despite being a Spirit-Gathering Realm cultivator, the sheer weight, likely around four to five hundred pounds, made it a challenge.
“…”
Xia Wei’s small mouth fell open in shock. She never imagined Jin Biao would actually hand over his weapon to Qi Huang.
Without further ado, Qi Huang hoisted the blade and aimed its tip toward Jin Biao’s mouth.
“No, no, no! Spare me! I’ll talk! Manager Duan put me up to this! It wasn’t my idea!”
As the cold steel drew nearer, Jin Biao finally cracked and confessed.
“Good! Now answer my second question, were all those previous ‘unfortunate’ clients his doing? All for profit?”
Qi Huang continued pressing the blade forward as she interrogated.
“Yes! Even though he’s worked at the Golden Fortune Auction House for decades, he’s still an outsider by name. Seeing no hope of becoming a true manager, he decided to amass a retirement fund before stepping down. Turning auction items into ‘inherited relics’ was the fastest, most lucrative method!”
Jin Biao, drenched in sweat, answered while staring at the blade mere inches from his face. He now deeply regretted sharpening his weapon so well.
“How does that work? Even if they become ‘inherited relics’, they’d still belong to the deceased’s family, right?”
Qi Huang was puzzled. She had assumed this was simple robbery.
“Whether they belong to the family or not depends on what the authorities say, doesn’t it? If the government insists they’re ownerless, what can the families do? So, he’s been collaborating with the officials for a long time. He handles the killings, turning auction items into ‘inherited relics’, while the government handles the aftermath—declaring them ownerless and confiscating them. The profits are split fifty-fifty.”
Jin Biao held nothing back.
“That doesn’t make sense. The government is still the government. I can understand them skimming a little on the side, but outright theft on this scale? Wouldn’t someone report them after a while?”
Qi Huang found it hard to believe.
“Young master, you’re too naive. Nine out of ten consignors at Golden Fortune Auction House are like you—hiding their identities for safety. If the government doesn’t investigate, who’d even know who they were? Besides, we usually dispose of the bodies. Even if their families come looking, without a name or a corpse, how can they prove their relation? The government requires evidence to act. That’s how they make the confiscation ‘legal’.”

Jin Biao spoke with a hint of pride, as if explaining a well-oiled scheme.
“Damn, you guys are ruthless!”
Qi Huang was stunned.
“Jin Biao, you’re the captain of Jujin Auction’s security team! How could you do something so heinous? And then brag about it? Have you no shame?!”
Xia Wei pointed at Jin Biao and berated him furiously.
“Bragging?! I’m being forced here! Can’t you tell?!”
Jin Biao was on the verge of tears.
“Alright, since you answered my questions, it’s time for me to repay you! Didn’t you want to see how I’d shove this giant blade into your mouth? Let me grant your wish!”
Qi Huang smirked coldly. This man was a mass murderer, she wouldn’t show mercy.
“No, no, no! I don’t want to see it! Spare me, young master—!”
Jin Biao begged in terror.
Without another word, Qi Huang flipped the blade and drove it straight into Jin Biao’s gaping mouth. The blade was so wide and sharp that it split his skull clean in half, splattering blood and brain matter everywhere!
“Why… didn’t he dodge?”
Xia Wei asked, dumbfounded. “Even if you were acting, was it worth dying for? Did you expect someone to praise your acting skills?”
“I really wasn’t acting! Whoever acts is a dog!”
Jin Biao was dead, but his soul, enraged by this accusation, howled indignantly as it departed his body.
